When I first saw it on a wrestling site I couldn't believe it. It's sad, because I haven't been a wrestling fan for a long time, but Eddie's performance last Friday on Smackdown was great.

The WWE has been really boneheaded in its business lately. From giving JBL that long title reign to deciding to move in a different direction by replacing Jim Ross, coach proving to be a very poor choice forcing them to scramble and get Joey Styles, to disrespecting Austin and losing him after he was going to be a draw for them at least in the short term, to low-balling talent like Christian and Benoit in contract negotiations with one of them leaving and one perhaps soon to follow...they're continually shooting themselves in the foot. A lot of their storylines are showing desperation for ratings and "controversy". I believe Batista's only going to be out a few months though. Rajah.com is a great site for insider news if anyone's interested.

Yeah, not to mention Randy Orton's constant push to the top. Orton's the example of cocky assholes who can get away with whatever they want. Anybody recently heard? He attacked a fan when the fan jumped the barricade and went into the ring area. That was at a houseshow. Although it was teh fan's fault, Orton nonetheless attacked the fan when he was held back by security. That's just stupid. WWE's recently additions of The Boogeyman and The Dicks are just jokes that you see on Mad TV.

i think randy did the right thing. if fans think it's ok for them to whatever they want for simply purchasing a ticket, then they got another thing coming. eddie guerrero beat the shit out of some fan when he said something deragatory about his daughter

I can't remember the whole story there, but it wouldn't be the first time wrestlers have gotten themselves involved in restraining fans who take things a bit too far.

The problem is the WWE is quickly becoming a parody of itself. Back in the "Attitude" era Rock and Stone Cold would come out with hilarious promos and skits and the storylines - while hardly deep and intellectual - were at least action-film standard. These days, they're just trying for controversy and whatnot and coming up with half-hearted plots and pushing some of the wrong characters.

I think this is also on wwe.com, just found this on another website
After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire sports-entertainment community is steel reeling from the devastating loss of a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com spoke with Eddie’s widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.

“It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

When he didn’t call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night).

I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.

I’m just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. It’s touched my heart a lot.

Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put together.

All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for that. And I don’t know what to do now.”

Saw that on Rajah's, kind of figured it would be heart failure and his past catching up with him. Very sad nevertheless.

Anyone see the Raw tribute show they had? A lot of the matches sucked but it's was nice to see some wrestlers talking about Eddie.

Actually, they usually want to give a better performance as a tribute. Just like when Owen died. Bret asked Benoit to have a match him.

The RAW after Owen died was great. I still remember The Rock giving the peoples elbow and pointing at the huge pic of Owen on the screen before doing it.
