Noooo, the remaining band members still has say on the Nirvana music just as much as Courtney does. She has it in her possession, but the band members still makes money off of it, and can still have some power in the decision making. That's why they're always in and out of court all the time.

It is the pwn  I love the rare ones: Pen Cap Chew, Do Re Mi, Sappy (though that's been bootlegged for a while), and Verse Chorus Verse.

1. Linkin Park - Meteora and Hybrid Theory was (Y)
2. Green Day - Their new stuff ain't that great... but a few years ago, they were quality IMO
3. Aerosmith - I dunno, I just really liked them. I like 'Dream On'...

hmmm..I don't think I can really like the bands I like. Mainly because I tend to like some songs and I don't think I know much about the bands or their other songs to be a fan  . it changes from time to time but these are some bands whose songs that I like (no particular order)

Deftones, Tool, APC, SOAD, Green Day, Lostprophets, The Used, RATM, Disturbed, Coal Chamber, Mudvayne, Soulfly, Slipknot, Stone Sour

I've been listening to a couple of Dream Theater songs as well (Y)

I used to like Linkin Park a lot but they got so played out and they sound the same. The only LP song that I really like now is probably One Step Closer. Same thing with Limp Bizkit, although I still have many of their songs on my playlist even though I don't really like most of them (just to lazy to rearrange my playlist  )

#1: Linkin Park

Great stuff man, Meteora was by far the best album they released, and Hybrid Theory is right next to that.

#2: System of a Down

These guys are crazy, their music is crazy yet it makes sense and has a meaning when you listen.

#3: Bon Jovi

Always liked them, good stuff.

Others that aren't quite on here are The Offspring, Disturbed... Green Day, Sum 41, Maroon 5... yeah.[/list]

I'm a multigenre man so it's hard to say one particular band is better than another..

radiohead, beastie boys, wu tang/gza/killa bees (for 36 chambers, liquid swords, and the swarm)..

honorable mentions to: j5, tribe called quest, autechre, nine inch nails, the roots, and bjork

what I am listening to atm: stereolab, the roots

Thu Sep 01, 2005 1:20 am

 I don't think Wu-Tang counts as a band.

Thu Sep 01, 2005 1:30 am

they're a collection of musical artists in a modern day setting.. I call them a band.. you can call them whatever the hell you like..

someone asking "what bands do you like?" is a colloquial expression.. you can say george michael, you can say tupac, you can say ffs mozart..

to say "I don't think Wu-Tang counts as a band." is like saying that a tomato is a fruit.. whilst it might be techinically correct, it's symantic bullshit

Thu Sep 01, 2005 2:04 am

I honestly don't know how people listen to Linkin Park when most of their songs sound the same (all their hits included), and they try to combine rock and rap in the most annoying way. Oh well.

1. AFI
2. Breaking Benjamin
3. Problably either Atreyu or Children of Bodom

Thu Sep 01, 2005 2:35 am

What's your favourite AFI/Breaking Benjamin song/s?

I think of a band as having a drum, guitar, bass player, etc.. I think of the Wu as a group.

people either ask what bands do you listen to or what music do you listen to.. they don't ask what groups are you into.. and if they do they're probably not going to pick you up on shit like "well aphex twin is one person so technically he's not a group"..

Thu Sep 01, 2005 6:11 am

When I see 'what bands do you listen to?' I think rock bands. When people talk about hip-hop they usually ask what are your favourite groups, or what are your favourite rappers. If we're just talking groups...

1. Public Enemy
2. Wu-Tang Clan
3. A Tribe Called Quest

1. Radiohead: Superb, original sound. 'Street Spirit' is simply unbelievable in richness of emotion

2. Bon Jovi: Never really had a thing for them, but they are strangely getting better with age.

3. U2: Just for their legacy. Their new albums are a disgrace. Not technically, just the sound is... not U2 anymore.

Thu Sep 01, 2005 8:55 am

1. Los Hermanos: Brazilian band...and yes, their name is in Spanish though. Lots of awesome songs. George Harrison(RIP) (with Jim Capaldi) even covered a song of theirs called "Anna Julia", and it was one of Harrison's last recordings. I didn't know whether to put this band or Radiohead first, but I currently listen to Los Hermanos more. Maybe if Radiohead's new album came out, I'll change it.

2. Radiohead: I don't think there is any other band that challenges themselves more than this band. Also, the next album will be another Kid A type radical departure from their original style supposedly. I love how they are never satisfied with their own music and always thrive to improve themselves. A lot of musicians should learn from them, not just copy their style. (yes, I'm talking Coldplay primarily.)

Also, their live performances are MUCH better than their CDs I think. You have got to see Radiohead live to realize just how amazing they are.

3. Muse: At first I saw them as another Radiohead clone, but they've become quite different now. They have much better guitar playing for one, and they "Rock out" more.

2.) System of a Down

Thu Sep 01, 2005 10:50 am

 Mac, you mean "Like wine, they get better with age."

Thu Sep 01, 2005 10:55 am

^^^   that's the saying i have in mind. thanks for pointing it out 8-)

Thu Sep 01, 2005 11:03 am

I like Green Day, Linkin Park, Coldplay, Disturbed, Metallica, etc.

Thu Sep 01, 2005 11:06 am

AFI, Staind, Carajo...

Thu Sep 01, 2005 6:50 pm

Getting good everytime. Hihi. Made my day. If I weren't so damn hung over.

Thu Sep 01, 2005 7:31 pm

1. System of a down
2. Guns 'n' roses
3. Hi-5

I don't like bands, or rock music that much, but for some reason Chop Suey amused me and Guns 'N' Roses are da bomb

and 1,2,3,4 HI 5!!!

Thu Sep 01, 2005 8:16 pm

Forgot to add that I love APC. Too good to be that loved by goth-y fuckwits.

aMOTIVe is a heap of not-so-goodness though.

It's remix of sorts of Pet from an earlier album. So I dislike it immensly because I feel it hacks Pet (and that's a brilliant song).
