I don't have my own wheels either, but I drive dad's VW Golf 1.9 SDI, 2001. He's not such a big fan of pimping the car so it looks quite ordinary.

Mon Jul 11, 2005 9:06 pm

my ride is a 1991 Nissan 300ZX, 3.0L V6....

I've shown it before, but why not again for the noobs....

Scott YZ1/white Fiat Punto. Doin' just fine (Y).

(I'm trying to persuade my dad into buying an oldtimer. We had an oppurtunity to buy red Mercedes 280 SLC (late 70's) and/or silver Mercedes 300 SL Coupe (1957 if I remember correctly) a few years ago, but we didn't have money for it. )

Looks really nice. I guess it's a pretty cools enginesound too considering the v6 engine.
How much did you buy it for and how much have you spend on it?

It's very fast and has over 550 HP, I have a feeling when I go to school in it, people are really going to want to think if I'm selling crack since I'm black

But seriously, my mom just got this Mercedes S-class after trading in her Lexus LS430:

Those aren't the pics exactly taking by me, I got those from ebay. She was able to get a good deal on her old car when she traded it in and got the Mercededes for a reasonable deal from the retail price of I think $75,000.

Tue Jul 12, 2005 1:15 pm

mafia you're one hell classy of a guy, and your mom too 8-) (Y)

Tue Jul 12, 2005 4:39 pm

Yeah, that's a fine ass Mercedes :)

Tue Jul 12, 2005 9:34 pm

coolmac....3.0L V6 is alright....car is quite heavy though so is not super quick IMHO....if it had the twin turbo, then it would absolutely fly....but as for it now, yeah it's alright....sticks to the road like anyone's mum, like driving on rails....don't really have to slow down to take corners which is sweet....pretty quick, especially after you hit about 50 or 60km/hr, it's got a bit of kick....chews the petrol though....I would have got a twin turbo model but I wouldn't have been able to insure it and petrol and parts would have been even worse....I can always add it later....

cheers cyanide and jona....

filip, yep, engine sounds great....at the moment it's pretty stock standard....basically, it's the sports model with electric windows, and even has climate control (which is rare for a car of its age)....about 115,000kms on the clock....I haven't really spent much on it....like $50 to my brother's mate to put some slightly illegally dark tint on it (with legal tint sticker though  )....apart from that, it could use a new paint job as it has a few little areas that aren't the greatest, but you can't really notice unless you are really close and looking at it closely....probably won't be spending money on the car anytime soon as I will be pumping a lot of funds into my mortgage to cut the term of it by 4 or 5 times, and will probably (almost definitely) headed to Hawaii, LA, Tijuana and Las Vegas in December so have to save that....will be good to catch a Lakers/Clippers game....might watch the Runnin' Rebels in Vegas as well....who knows....but all is good....

I'm currently riding in a 15 year old Toyota Celica... I've grown so fond of it that he now answers to the name of "Marc"...

That's not him, it's just a pic of th eexact model.

I've already saved up enough moolah to buy a new car sometime between September and November, and it's going to be a red Porsche Boxster S.

Marc will then be passed on to the wife, who is currently riding an old Harley davidson but has gotten fed up with a motorbike lately...

Tue Jul 12, 2005 11:00 pm

Porche Boxster, for those who can't afford the 911s

I could wait for another half a year or so and go for the Carrera, but I like two-seaters more... Ofcourse, with the baby coming up in a few months, I might have to settle for an SUV instead... We'll see.
