you guys have very overpriced PC's.....here in the philippines you can get a decent 2.4 ghz duron and stuff for about 150 US$

I downloaded Half Life 2 yesterday, from Steam. It takes too long to even start up. So i guess thats the Video Cards fault. So should i overclock my vid card or something??? And also i have 256DDR Ram, should i jus get 1GB sdram??

Yeah, it's definitely the video card, overclocking won't help I wouldn't imagine. As for ram, 512 is generally good for windows XP and gaming, and the more the better. 256 should do but its a bit low I think.
LOL, if you want to get a decent gaming card it could possibly cost as much as you paid for the computer itself!!

The problem is that i cant get any video card for my computer. I can buy an PCI card, but for the AGP it has to be a low profile card. I have a Compaq SSF. Its soo small, even my monitor is bigger than it.

PCI card = better than AGP card from what I've heard off. So no loss there.

You have probably heard that PCI Express Cards are better than AGP. I dont see lots of PCI cards these days, they are all AGP or PCI E.

No, you're thinking of PCI Express. Normal PCI doesn't help nearly as much. Anyway wisdom, my experience with Valve (the company with Steam, CS, Half-Life) is that they are a group of retards. AGP is muchchhhhh better than normal PCI, because it's pretty much specifically designed for graphics cards (Accelerated Graphics Port!)

get the latest AGP 8x CARDS and you'll be in shock that it'll cost more than your whole machine
