Muscles on your knees? You mean ligaments? You can't build ligaments.

And as for building muscle, it's a myth that you'll become slower. Look at some of the world's fastest people. Sprinters are muscular and they have huge legs.

I think maybe Matt was referring to the muscles slightly above the knees....

yeah, if you extend your leg you'll see that it's still a part of your thigh, but when you sit down it looks like your knee has bulked up

"suicide" practice is a good way to improve ur ...sudden stops..
ie, dribble n stop...

we call it suicide.. maybe u call the practice sth else

its like
run one a quarter of the court.. then back..
then run to the center then back..
then 3 quarters .. then full court..n back..
something like that..
improve ur speed... n improve ur calf.. i guess..

They call it suicides here too. I think it's a well known sprinting term :)

Maybe you've gotten good results from that, but everything I've heard says you need to overload your muscles as far as weights go (not ridiculous amounts but decent amounts). If you can do something like 3 sets of 30 bicep curls a day 3 days a week (of course mixed in with other things but I'm making an example) + eating right, I garuntee you will see results.

Well.. i have played before obviously, havent played in three years so prob make Div 2 or Div 3 team for school. It will be fun since the Div 3 team came second in their comp last year and all the guys were just having fun...

Div 2 should be a bit more serious with an actual team.. i guess both could be good. Cause I really aint much of a runner, the soccer ball will be my inspirtation to run!
