NBA Street V3, anyone getting it?

I got it. Its a fun game, of course more arcade style. My biggest problem with the game is they ranked Lebron 99 in dunks and J-Rich only 90. Other than that, fun game.

Theres alot of customization. I made my own court, made myself (many options to get the look right), can purchase clothing. Many moves, you now use the right analog to do the trick moves.

the best thing this game has imo is the new "career" mode. you play through 10 weeks worth of game, 1 per day, to build up your baller and rep. each day you have different games to pick from. 1 might be a game to 21 or maybe a game to 11 with no trick points. sometimes they have a game to 12 where only dunks count for points. i kinda like the games where you play to 250k trick points, or 500k, or whatever they got it going to. the games where first gamebreaker wins are good if you want a fast game. the best part imo is you get to pick from these games types, not all are always an option but you have atleast 3 games to choose. also some games will have a pro in them and others will not, so if you want that pro you gotta play that game. overall i recomend it.

are the throwback jerseys back?
(like in V2 you could wear Birds jersey, or Magics jersey, or Pistol Petes jersey, etc)

Yea, I purchased the old "the City" warriors jersey for my guy. Plus when you play the old legends they're wearing their old jerseys...short shorts and all.

I agree with the career mode comment. It keeps the game from getting old because some games are all trick moves while others are just 3v3 points battles. The new gamebreakers are pretty fun too.

What's the difference between v3's dunk contest and Live 2005's dunk contest?

And yes LeBron should be rated 99 in dunking

The difference in the Dunk Contest's is that Live is more realistic (believe it or not.). In V3 your player can take off from behind the 3 point line, get mad air, and do all kinds of tricks in mid air. In Live you already have a set trick you can do in the air, but in V3, your player can do a windmill+pass to self+behind the back pass to self+between the legs+roll the ball over the shoulder from one arm to another+one handed jam while doing a 720 and jumping over a table in the process.

And as dsigns said, LBJ has tied for the highest dunk rating in the game. J-Rich is 90, D-Mase is 90, and wade is only 75. And guess which Josh from A-town we got? Josh Childress and no J-Smoove. :x Other than that, its illllll.

Press circle to dunk it home(on PS2). I didn't know how to do it at first, but I practiced in the DC mode before I did the street challenge.

They did not have it in to rent once again so I took the chance and went ahead and bought it. So far it is alright, but I need to not play it so much or I will get tired of it quick. I got it at 8 p.m. and played until 3:15 a.m. (7 1/2 hrs.) lol I had nothing to do. I remember when I bought Fight Night I thought it was gonna be real cool but it sucked ass just like all boxing games, so I wasted $50, thats why I am so uptight about buying certain games before I test them out for myself, except Live & GTA.

You can jump over a ball rack, dumpster, ladder, table, speakers, and a huge trophy (I mean it is seriously huge  ) I dont find it near as fun as Live's Dunk Contest, its just not as much to do, and you dont know what you are doing, just moving the trick stick around and adding up combos. It is alot easier to get gamebreakers I found this year. You can rename tricks, and there are alot of them too. No user profiles (N) and no All-Time stats either, just Single-game records. The Street Challenge is alot better (Career Mode) I didnt play Vol. 2 so I dont know how it was. But like others have already said, you can choose between which games you play in that day or night.

There are 70 days and you play 2 games everday. One in the day & one in the night. Each win adds up your Rep (reputation) and losing does just the opposite. If you release a player and then play against them they consider it a Rival Game. If you win one of these your Rep goes up more than in a regular game. There are regular games to 21, No Gamebreaker games to 21, No Trick Point games, Only Dunks count games, 1st Gamebreaker wins, Trick Point Games (first to 250,000 or 500,000) and a few others also.

There are tournaments that you can register for or decline. There is a registration fee which is usually from 50-250 SP's (Style Points I think) So far they are only 4 team tournaments, and they are single elimination so far. The manual says something about an NBA League after you get so far into the game and get your Rep up so far. I havent gotten to that point yet. I am 27-0 right now in all of the games, it is pretty easy to win, I play on the Medium level. Easy-Got Game, Medium-Mad Game, Hard-Legendary Game.

I have most of the courts unlocked. You can create your own court as well. From the color of the pavement, to the condition of the pavement. Whether it is fresh looking or old and worn out. You choose what type of lines, like the color and how they are painted on. Playground lines, NBA Official lines, or International lines. You choose the thing the holds the goal up (Stachion I think?) You choose the backboard and the net. There are alot of different backboards. You can get 2 different chain nets, the cloth net, plastic net, worn out or torn net, and the Red White & Blue net. You can put a variety of logos on your court. The Center logo, and alot more. You can choose your surroundings as well. Whether it is a schoolyard, the west coast, east coast, south side, facotry, park. You choose the banners on the walls, and can even put up banner spots that werent originally there. You also choose the seating of your court. Low-a few chairs, Medium-a few more chairs and steps, High- chairs steps and bleachers.

There are alot more clothing items and jewelry to add to your Baller that you create if you chose so. Alot of chains, watches, earrings. Hats, beanies, skull caps, headbands. Sweatbands, armbands, braces. Tatoos, jerseys, T-shirts, tank tops, or no shirt. There are NBA jerseys, hardwood classics, legend jerseys, plain jerseys etc. NBA shorts, hardwood classics, legend shorts, plain shorts etc. Lots of shoes and you can create your own shoes as well. I have yet to create my own shoe so far. You also add stats to your Baller, after each win you get so many SP's and you can use them to add on to your Baller's stats, court additions, or tricks.

Anymore questions I will add here

the nba league is pretty fun actually. you dont get to join it at the start, you have to wait for a team to throw you an invite. so far only 2 teams have invited me and i rejected them both. first was the nets, who i hate, and the second was the cavs. i had a hard time rejecting the cavs as i wanted to use lebron but i am holding out to see if the celtics throw me an invite. you dont leave your team when you join a nba team either. you keep playing your regular games and now and then you get a notice that you have a league game and if you miss it you risk being kicked off the team.

wormy touched quickly on the dif levels. easy is just that, easy. its rather boreing actually. no chance of loseing. i started on that just to get the hang of the game and even then it was easy. i have since moved up to medium dif level. still mostly win but i have actually lost here, though not for along time. i think my next run will be on hard.

just thought i would toss out my current team. my created player is 6'6" and 3 main stats are handles, quicks, shots in that order. i have 3 pro ballers currently(i skip most pros i beat) and they are desmond mason, spreewell, and camby. i got them in that order, infact i got camby for free cause he asked me if he could join. i had to pay for spree and mason. i mostly use camby and spree but i rotate mason in every few games to keep him happy.

oh and 1 more thing about rival games. if you reject these you take a big hit in rep. if you accept them your rival comes stacked. first rival game i played was vs ron mercer in a first gamebreaker wins game. he brought shaq and yao with him. second time i did a rival game was also vs ron(i dont know why he hates me i never had him on my team) and this was a first to 500k points wins. this time he brought steve nash and jason kidd. the thing is when you win a rival match you cant pick a player from loseing team. when i won the first time i thought i had shaq on my team but was quickly let down.

Haha, the first invite I got was to the celtics. :D And I declined their invite. I would have taken any of the invites you got offered.

My team is my created baller who got the nickname "No Mountain High Enough" , Paul Pierce, Dajuan Wagner, Takashi (7'8 beast) and Biggie Littles. I'm amazed at how good Gerald Wallace is in the game. His ratings are better than most swingmen. I almost passed PP to keep him.

I got the message about the NBA League getting ready to start.
Can you keep declining invitations or to be in the league do you have to accept one before a deadline?
Or do you keep declining until you get the team you want?

I dont know if your NBA team actually boots you if you dont play for them. I took the nets offer cuz I didnt know other teams would offer too. So then I tried to get booted by missing all their games but they never got rid of me so I stayed.

Just one more tournament and I guess I beat the game. Ill finish it when I get off work.
