The turn of the millenium FOX prime-time cartoons...currently I see one episode of each a day...so I have to say:
1. Futurama...the best executed of all of them...it's humor target is higher than the rest...
2. King of the Hill...the best written of all of them...Khan is the best character on any of these shows...Mike Judge's anti-B&B...
3. The Simpsons...classic...if it wasn't for that five-six year lull where the show was pretty weak I'd put it higher...
4. Family Guy...it's target is pretty low which is why it would be funnier but less entertaining...it's a good show but does every episode have to drag from the 15-20 minute mark especially since the first five minutes are generally super-strong...it's like the entire Simpsons run in every single episode...

I completely forgot about Futurama. That's second behind Family Guy on my list. I can only watch it on weekdays at 10:30 now since it's syndicated on teletoon (our Canadian cartoon network.) Ironically it comes on right after Family Guy.
King of the Hill does have the best writing, but it isn't as funny. I remember an episode where Hank says "He's like Bobby, except without those things Bobby does." Or when there's a flashback and he's talking to the kid versions of Dale, Boomhauer, (or however you spell that) and Bill (Bill right, I'm doubting myself) about what they wanna be when they grow up. Hank says to sell propane and propane accessories.

Agree
However the funniest comedi series that has ever been showed on TV is in my opinion without the slightest little doubt:
RED DWARF.

I like both shows, Stewie and Homer are absolute legends...
Stewie: There's always been a lot of tension between Lois and me, and it's not so much that I want to kill her, it's just, I want her not to be alive anymore.
Lois: Oh, I haven't been on a college campus in years. Everything seems so different.
Stewie: Really? Perhaps if you laid on your back with your ankels behind your ears that would ring a few bells.
Stewie: I was under the impression the name of the show was "Kids Say the Darndest Things," not "Old Black Comedians Never Shut the Hell Up."
Stewie: Yes, but no sprinkles. For every sprinkle i find, i shall KILL you
Stewie: Well, I'd love to stay and chat, but you're a total bitch.
Peter: I don't say this often enough, but, uh, I'm gonna die.
Lois: Oh my God.
Stewie: High five! Anyone? Anyone?
Lois: What's going on down here?
Stewie: Oh, we're playing house.
Lois: That boy's all tied up.
Stewie: Roman Polanski's house
Stewie: What the hell is this?
Lois: Sweetie, that's tuna salad.
Stewie: Oh, is that what it is? Really? Because I could have sworn it was mayonnaise and cat food.
Stewie (picking his nose): Does this not disgust you?
Brian: Kid, you're talkin' to a guy who uses his tongue for toilet paper.
Stewie: "Damn you, vile woman! You've impeded my work since the day I escaped from your wretched womb."
Meg: Can I be in the play, Mom?
Stewie: Oh yes, you can be the dumpy teenage girl who cries backstage because no one finds her attractive.
Stewie: HA! That's so funny I forgot to laugh... excluding that first Ha.
Mrs. Pewterschmidt: Would you like a piece of candy?
Stewie: I smell death on you

*Imitates Rimmer's salute*
It's unfortunate how the series ended, though. I know they want to provide a conclusion in the movie, but that keeps getting pushed back mainly due to a lack of cash. I'm starting to think it will never be made.

Andrew: I'm not sure but was the last show when Death is there to Get Rimmer and he hit's him and run away?
If that was the last show I think it was a good end actually: "The End.."
"The smeg it is!"

That's the one. I heard that originally the series was going to end in a ninth episode that season called "Earth", where they made it back to Earth only to land in the ocean and flood all of the future inhabitants of the planet. Instead they decided to conclude the series through the movie, though as I said it keeps getting pushed back.
