Anybody who is offended at being called a white needs too take a look in the mirror. There's nothing bad about being a white boy and somebody pointing it out. People shouldn't even attemp to act offended about things like that.

I also think that certain people, if they are going to have some input on a topic like this, need to put some effort into making a little sense. I've never ever been hassled for being white, and there are many blacks around my area. I guess it depends on the background of the instigator. The "Apu" lookalikes that live around here don't generally have the courage to confront you to your face. Nor would I want them to regardless of colour. Besides, that damn curry breath! j/k.

I have gotten the occassional "wog" remark or whatever but that's pretty amusing, I'm the first to recognise the annoying/funny qualities of "wogs".

For those who don't know, the term "Wog" is supposed to be a derrogatory term towards Europeans in Australia. But like the term "Nigger" it has sort of become culturally trendy among "Wogs" to let everyone know that that's what they are. Wogs are generally no longer offended by the term, some like to let it be known that they're big "Wogs" by acting a certain way. There have also been people who have really cashed in by pointing out the humorous side to wogs. (Greeks, Italians, Yugo's, Dutch, Polish, Turkish etc) I don't know if people use that term in America or England or wherever.

It's not a derrogatory term for white people in general, just Europeans and some other migrants. But like I said it's not really offensive anymore.

Got curious, so I checked dictionary.com for the specific meaning of the word:

Used as a disparaging term for a person of color, especially a person from northern Africa or western or southern Asia.

Judging by that, I guess the term wog is more socially implicated rather than physically or by skin colour since it's been used for whites/blacks/slightly tanned people
