Addicted af to Luigi's Balloon World in Mario Odyssey... any Switch owners on here? I even got 2K18 to play Playground games on the pot. It was worth finding out that it wasn't worth it, if that makes any sense.

Okay, so Trackmania Turbo is my new favorite game. It's one of this month's free PS+ games, and it might just be the best one yet. It's basically Trials with cars.. There's an awesome campaign mode with 200 tracks (I'm on level 50), an extensive map editor I haven't tried yet and some other cool features I haven't completely perused.
The tracks are a rush to drive on, and I love the way the game looks. While the courses haven't been too crazy thus far, getting gold can be a real challenge sometimes. With how short they are (usually about 30 seconds), it's easy to find yourself attempting a level like 50 times before you beat it. I also love how the game's leaderboards show where you rank worldwide, nationwide, and even within your state/province! I'm gunning for that #1 in Washington state crown.
So yeah, I'd highly recommend this game. I mean, it's free if you have PS+. Definitely seems like something that would be up Jao's alley

Spending all my free time on Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Far Cry 5 right now (PC), both are fun as hell, but in completely different ways.

Downloaded it, haven't had the chance to play it yet. Watching the trailer gave me anxiety when I found out there are different parts of the track that you have to make it to.

Question on FarCry 5, because I can't seem to find this information.
Have you attempted the Co-op Mode? Is the second player limited on what he can do? I read something (and watched a video) that said something about Co-op not being all its cracked up to be because the second player has to start over every time you reboot up the game (Like they are just a casual tag along for the main character). I also read that the co-op player couldn't have his own armor upgrades, etc.
Right now my brother and I are deep into Elder Scrolls Online, are above level 100 champion and are going to keep playing. But, we are looking for a first person shooter RPG-esque game, as we have beat all of the Borderlands games together already. Right now, NBA 2K17 and Elder Scrolls basically take up all of my time.

I can't say that I have, sorry man, I only play singleplayer campaigns regardless of the game.

Played the single player and it's kind of weird not racing against other cars but racing for time. I guess it's still a bit challenging. The weird stunts reminds me of a PC game I played as a kid called Whiplash. I loved that game.

I got caught up in the hype and bought the new God of War. Loved the old ones, and with the rave reviews this game was getting, I had to check it out.
Fantastic game so far. Playing it on hard to get the most out of it, a decision I may come to regret. So far so good though! The graphics are beautiful, and it's cool to see a modern take on the series. It's like a cross between the old GoW games and Horizon: Zero Dawn. The new mechanics are well thought-out and I love the decision to take on a new mythology. Can't wait to play more

God of War has been great so far. My favourite scene is the one where he says "boy".

His son is a little twerp. Don't like the father son stories in video games. Same as in Fallout 4. Fuck both Areutus and Shaun.

Been playing Yakuza 6 since the release. Waiting for Street fighter 30th anniversary and Detroit: Becoming Human next month

Origin Vault has gotten really cool games added to it last couple months. Pillars of eternity, Mad Max and more added recently.

Finished God of War yesterday. Wonderful game. Probably my second favorite of this generation behind Horizon: Zero Dawn. I loved the old God of War games for the tight controls, fantastic premise, high production values, epic set-pieces and superb design. But with Ascension the series was stale and needed a revamp. While I have a few gripes, this game is everything I hoped it would be.
The story here is fantastic. In past games I didn't care too much about the story, but here it was maybe my favorite part of the experience. The developers were clearly big fans of The Last Of Us. In the past, child partner characters were a nuisance because their AI sucked and you had to worry about them being killed. Not the case here, as Atreus is an asset in combat and a very likable character. There were a couple boss fights were he did almost all of the heavy lifting! Seeing the evolution of his character and his relationship with Kratos really made the experience feel special. And also I love that they didn't show the Blades of Chaos in any of the previews. The reveal that they were indeed in the game, and had their own skill tree was awesome. The game also did a good job of encouraging the use of both weapons. In past GoW games, I'd just use the blades other than the one particular boss that you obviously need to use the new weapon on and... I'm rambling
It is a bit slower paced than previous games, and I expect some GoW fans won't like the changes to the tone and formula. But I enjoyed God of War a lot.

Had my first free Saturday in about three weeks, so I decided to finish Detroit: Become Human. There were some awkward moments - and some of unintended hilarity - but overall I found myself fairly immersed.
This particular scene made me LOL (spoiler free):

I blew through Detroit the week it was released. Love all the stuff from Quantic Dream. Heavy Rain is free next month on PSN after Beyond was free in May

Contemplating on getting the Definitive Edition of MGSV on Steam while it's on sale. Any of you guys played it? Was it any good?

I got the SNES classic so I'm about done with Super Mario RPG, a game I didn't play back in the day. Will get a refresher on Star Fox before trying the unreleased starfox 2

Aside NBA2K, my favorite games are indie games, specially Spelunky and Nuclear Throne.
Both are roguelike with permadeath. But gameplay is totally different.
Spelunky is IMO one of the best game ever. ; everything seems so perfect. I spent about 230 hours, unlock all achievements.
Nuclear Throne is pure adrenalin.
These days, i play Dead Cells. It's pretty cool but I dont really like "rogue lite", permadeath with unlocking stuff.

Currently, I am playing the following:
- NBA 2K17 (MyLeague)
- AO International Tennis (Career)
- Elder Scrolls Online
Those are the 3 games taking up the majority of my time. I dabble in some of the other NBA classic games (Older Lives, older 2K's) but mainly it's just those three. However, we picked up Shadow of War: Middle Earth on a Steam sale last night. That game looks amazing with a ton of play time, so I am going to try that.

As someone who loved MGS 1-4, I couldn't get into V. It has really good gameplay and production values, but I prefer Metal Gear games to be linear. The graphics are great, but I don't enjoy the setting. The wacky storyline has been pared back considerably, for better or for worse. (I loved the overlong cutscenes in the older games, personally)
So it's a very good game, but I personally didn't care for it much. It's more MGS: Peace Walker 2, than it is a sequel to the main series.

Good save, Lamrock! I ended up not getting it, and may just continue MGS3 on the 3DS.

Bad timing. I have Monday off (Labor Day), and there's not really a whole lot I have to do, and then 2K and Spider-Man are both gonna drop on Friday... could've used those now. Otherwise, all my gaming dreams are coming true:
October - Mario Party
November - Pokémon Eevee/Pikachu (a game that should've come out on N64)
December - Smash Ultimate (have wanted Ridley and K. Rool for ages, and everything else is just icing on the cake)
January - Kingdom Hearts 3
The buildup is perfect, and then there's awesome little stuff like Tunic coming to Windows and Xbox:
The ambience/visual appeal is awesome. Kinda would've been best suited on Switch imo, but will be getting it on Xbox regardless.

Luckily I have been playing Yakuza Kiwami 2 which just dropped last week and also the Live 19 demo. That should keep me busy throughout the holiday weekend and the short week before Live 19 comes out for real on Friday!

Been playing Arma mostly and some Forza Horizon 2.
In Arma I've been spending most of my time in specialist roles like armoured asset driver or commander or infantry CLS and squad lead.
