cole and king are my 2 least favorite. if they wanted to get raw the best team, I would say go for jr and striker. but I like how they put a young guy with jr. maybe that way he can learn from the best you know.

I prefer JR and King myself but in any case if RAW is back to being the definite/"official" A brand then I'd prefer JR to be doing the play-by-play.

good raw. I'm jealous of santina. he got to kiss rosa. is it just me or does she look better every time? if this goes on she might replace maryse as my fav piece of eyecandy.

"We have a hand job for you."
Probably more entertaining than the movie itself from what I've read.

I haven't been watching WWE as much lately, but I noticed that MVP finally got the fans on his side. Did he get a push or something? Well he deserves it, but I really think Shelton Benjamin or even Kofi Kingston deserves one before MVP. Benjamin seriously has to be one of the most underrated guys ever in the WWE. Anyway, what's happened to HBK?
Wed May 13, 2009 12:30 pm
MVP had some backstage heat and went on a huge losing streak which apparently got through to him and he's over with the right people backstage once again. Through it all he gradually turned face, so it might turn out to be the best thing that could've happened for his career.
HBK is taking some time off, same as The Undertaker.

Old school pupils needs to rest. Anyways, I'm a bit too late about knowing that Sim Snuka was the stunt camera man in the HBK-Taker match.
Wed May 13, 2009 3:34 pm
I don't know about that either.
EDIT: Is that why he keeps his cap on when 'Taker crashed on him?
Wed May 13, 2009 4:16 pm
Not quite sure of it though.
Maybe, so that no one would recognise him. I just read it in some wrestling news site.

Neither do I.
According to his Wiki page:
Prior to getting in the wrestling business, he worked as a youth counselor and a TV cameraman in Utah
Either way, inside or outside the ring, he does know what he's doing.

tried watching ECW again last night
turned it off after I realized there would be no hardcore matches
Wed May 13, 2009 10:01 pm
Haven't watched the WWE backed ECW for a long time huh Jao?
Wed May 13, 2009 10:10 pm
When the WWE brought back the ECW as a "brand" I thought it would pit the old skool hardcore matches with Sabu, RVD, Sandman, Dreamer and the other Originals around. But yeah, it's now like the OVW in cable.
So much for the WWE being kid-friendly, I say. Did they changed Christian's "Unprettier" to the "Killswitch?"
Wed May 13, 2009 10:13 pm
At least ECW is still hardcore is some way.
Wed May 13, 2009 10:47 pm
And what is with this Dreamer storyline
"I want a championship or else I retire"
well, just stick him out there for 8 weeks in a row and have him lose.
I turned it off after the fat chick went to the ugly chick demanding why (s)he wasn't on the show again for the 2nd week in a row

After I read that I watched it again, I think he sported a goatee as well as the cap, so I believe nobody really recognised him.

Nice disguised.
How about CM Punk? He's one of the "mafia" in Cena's entrance (WM22) right?
Thu May 14, 2009 2:11 am
That was before he was introduced to the WWE audience though. Only the fans who followed the indy/ROH scene recognize him then.
Thu May 14, 2009 2:26 am
hey man. tiffany is hot and the british girl looks like she enjoys spankies. so no complaints from me.

They did. Not a bad idea really, "Unprettier" is a bit of an awkward name for a finisher and is a few gimmicks out of date. So is "The Pedigree" for that matter but that name's become too ingrained with the move to change it now.
Thu May 14, 2009 11:47 pm
Hey Andrew, you're back.
First, it was Impaler, then it became Unprettier, now its Killswitch. What's next? "Merry go round reverse DDT"
Thu May 14, 2009 11:50 pm
I don't leave for very long, only when it's been a long day and other things are keeping me busy when I'd normally lurk a bit and post.

Unprettier stuck for a while so they probably won't get too silly with the changes. As I said I don't mind the change, Impaler and Unprettier were more suited to earlier versions of his gimmick. Killswitch is a fresh name for a new start in WWE.
Fri May 15, 2009 1:54 am
I kinda lke the Unprettier name. Killswitch sounds more of an Orton move. The Impaler name is something I'd associate more with Gangrel.

I picked up a couple of older DVD sets, including the Rise and Fall of ECW and Jake "The Snake" Roberts: Pick Your Poison. Certainly good viewing, obviously the includes matches and other bonus features make for some excellent content but the lengthy shoot documentaries were both quite interesting. Pick Your Poison definitely puts some of Roberts' personal demons in perspective given his childhood and the story of ECW is quite compelling. I was always a WWF fan back in the day so while I was aware of the ECW product I hadn't followed it all that closely and if you haven't seen it, the different perspectives on why it ultimately went bankrupt are certainly interesting.
