They seem to be almost trying to force Mittrione to quit so Kimbo can come back.
Fri Nov 20, 2009 7:59 am
That's a good one.
Mat is what I like to call a dumb smartass. He thinks he knows everything, but is too stupid to realise that he is the one who is holding himself down.

http://www.globaltvbc.com/sports/Hender ... story.htmlDana White might lose Dan Henderson to StrikeForce, and I do think that could be a wise move for Dan's own sake. Dana White is talking like it's all about contract money game but I've heard it's more of Dana choosing not to sponsor Dan Henderson's company anymore.
Fri Nov 20, 2009 9:24 pm
That's a bit old. The Clinch Gear banning I think came on or after UFC 105 because of the contract stuff with Hendo. RVCA was also banned for sponsoring Fedor. At least that's the rumor. I haven't read any official confirmation just MMA news reports that I don't really trust completely.

Matt is a dumbass but they are really pressuring him. I can't stand the way the guy talks, his voice creeps me out.
Henderson can piss off. He knocked out Bisping and everyone seemed to forget he's nearly 40 years old. From what Dana said he's not worth the money he was asking anyway.
Sat Nov 21, 2009 5:07 am
Maybe I am watching a different show, but how are they pressuring him? Rashad has said, we are not going to make you fight if you don't want to. What Mat is doing, is using every excuse to get attention. It's like he doesn't even want to be on the show.
And I'm with Hendo on this one. Ufc has the money. And he is not going to keep fighting forever. So get it while you can you now. He's also a draw. Who would he fight with in strikeforce? Mussasi?

Dana saying that he hopes one of the eliminated guys gets another shot (when everyone, including Matt himself knew the whole speech was directed at him) is as good as saying he wants Matt to drop out of the competition. That is pressure considering Matt has already won a fight and earned his spot in the quarter finals. He is a tool and a drama queen but I've watched every season and never seen anyone be pushed towards quitting as hard as he is. They always try to talk them into staying, with Matt you've got Rashad saying do what you want and Dana saying leave so someone else gets a chance.
Just look at the year where Matt Serra's friend lost his first fight and wanted to leave to be with his girlfriend, he spent days crying and saying he wanted to leave, skipping practice etc, Matt tried like 4 times to talk him into staying, Dana tried to talk him into staying and that guy had already lost his fight. Yet a guy who has won a fight and is still active in the competition is being essentially told by Dana to leave so someone else can have a shot.
And I'm with Hendo on this one. Ufc has the money
That sets a bad precedent. You give Henderson the money he wants then suddenly every other guy wants a pay-rise, especially the ones who are more successful than Henderson. Then you get into a situation where the fighters are being paid stupid amounts of money and the company will begin to struggle financially. He's an upper-tier guy in his weight division who's already lost to the current champion with probably a handful of fights left in him, we're not talking about Machida or Lesnar, someone the company is being marketed around.

Credit runs out after a while. I think they don't feel like taking care of people who don't want to seize their chances anymore. How many seasons has this thing been on already?
It's the fighters that matter. Without the ufc there would still be fighters. But without the fighters, there wouldn't be mma at all. And I rather see fighters providing for their families, then hearing White talk about he's flying here and there. Can't stand that guy.

I love post-fight interviews when two guys have been punching the shit out of each other for 15 minutes. Tito has a cracked skull, a bulging disc and is pissed off at the fans, Forrest has a broken foot and disrespects Mark Coleman

Sotiropoulos and Koscheck are awesome btw. Koscheck would take Dan Hardy's head off.
Also Koscheck on his twitter account referred to the decision to have Hardy v GSP as "gay"
Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:18 pm
This is what Hardy has to say about Kos:
“The thing about Josh Koscheck is that he’s got a lot of potential but he’s inconsistent. He’s kind of like a (expletive) that won’t flush away. He’ll lose a fight and then come back. I guess I don’t mind, I never get sick of seeing that guy get punched in the face.”
Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:56 pm
Those guys need to be TUF coaches together at one point or another. It'd be like Ken vs Tito only they are both smart ass pricks.
Mon Nov 23, 2009 4:22 pm
Rofl... That sounds so true about Koscheck. Null
As for, Tits and Griffin, a good guy won I guess.
Mon Nov 23, 2009 5:08 pm
Hardy and Koscheck on TUF would be funny as hell. Hell, I'd watch it even without the reality contest part. Just the two of them talking trash. Hardy's pretty smart in general and seems to really love the sport. I've read some of his interviews where he really smart (and smartass) replies against his detractors. And he even posted a comment on a news article bashing MMA. Pretty nice read.

I heard from a buddy that Brock was at like 60% of health when fought against Mir, Herring, and Cutuor. If that is true, he truly is a fucking monster! Well... he is a monster still, but...
Yeah, I really like to see Hardy and Kos fighting. But more than that, I WANT GSP!!! I think Kos would pose more threats to GSP than Hardy. Just for some reasons, I just can't like Hardy... I hope Kos or GSP shut him up good.
Fri Nov 27, 2009 11:03 am
I think I said earlier that just by lack of overall quality in the division I thought Kos had the best chance of beating GSP. GSP already beat him but that was a while ago. Look out for Paul Daley though, providing he's not a Houston Alexander he will probably wind up better than all of them (Kos, Hardy, Swick). He's fighting Carlos Condit at UFC 108.
Fri Nov 27, 2009 5:18 pm
Yeah, you mentioned about it and I agree that Koscheck probably is the one that stands good chance against GSP, though I think GSP is likely to win again.
As for Paul Daley, I think his wrestling skill is bit weak, but we'll see how he developed in fights to come. What do you guys think aboug stun gun Kim. I sort of wanted to see Hardy vs him, but due to an injury of Kim, he got to fight another guy in last UFC event. I think Kim is a solid fighter who possesses skills to compete against top rankers. His fight against TJ Grant was impressive.
Fri Nov 27, 2009 11:02 pm
He's a big ass 170 with a cool nickname. I like his attitude, alot of Asian fighters seem quite reserved/relaxed most of the time of the time but Kim seems pretty cocky to a degree. He beat Matt Brown as well which is impressive.

Did you guys hear about War Machine? Went apeshit at a porn party and beat up a bunch of people, men and women (apparently). His twitter just makes things worse
http://twitter.com/warmachinexxxhttp://www.bloodyelbow.com/2009/11/29/1 ... rk-at-porn
Fri Dec 04, 2009 2:49 pm
Yeah. Heard that. He went off on his own porn agent.
Sat Dec 05, 2009 6:02 am
Whoa. He beat up anyone who got in the way. His agent must've said/done something that pissed War Machine off.
Sun Dec 06, 2009 10:41 am
That is fucking crazy. Whatever the reason he went berserk, that's just stupid and immature. Really classless.
Did anyone watch K-1? Semmi won again. People say he's boring but no doubt he deserves to be the champ. Well... honestly I do find him boring too though.
Sun Dec 06, 2009 3:02 pm
Just watched the TUF 10 finale. Holy shit Jon Jones is insane, he tore Hamill apart. Bullshit decision to DQ him but jesus. Also Roy Nelson looked good (figuratively) and knocked Schaub out. Weird to see Mitrione of all people KO Marcus Jones too, I guess he wasn't lying when he said he was playing a lot of mind games in the house.
Sun Dec 06, 2009 4:25 pm
Ha! I knew Roy would win this thing. The experience gap between him and the other guys on the show is just too big. Dana looked kinda sad when he was announcing Chuck and Tito as the next TUF coaches. It was like he didn't even like who he got.
Tue Dec 08, 2009 1:10 pm
It seems like Hendo to Strikeforce is official. He probably has like 2 or 3 decent matchups at LHW then it's a bunch of catchweight fights again.
Tue Dec 08, 2009 3:21 pm
Is he going to fight at 205? There's so many better opponents in Strikeforce at 185.
