Oh wait, those bands are starting to merge together in my mind. Fuck, I can't tell the difference anymore.

lol at that gif
Speaking of Bloc Party. I used to listen to their songs, until almost everyone trying to be "hip" started dickriding them. Can't stand it anymore.

It's been out for a while... Sold like half million copies in the UK alone. It's not Definitely Maybe good, but it's a quite solid record. Better than Don't Believe the Truth imo, I'm really liking The Nature of Reality and I'm Outta Time.

Yehp, I'm buying this cd as soon as I get some cash... I actually met Tip a few times at my job, he is what you expect him to be. Laid back, humble, real. One of the realest dudes I ever met.

Great first half, poor second half better than their last effort though
Chinese Democracy (Guns N' Roses) will be (or it already) released at last...

If you're into Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, you gonna love this band. Chris Cornell's voice is the dog's.

Second to The Vines, they're one of my favourite Aussie bands unfortunately they got disbanded just recently

For reasons unkown by the Killers, like them or not you folks should check out this song and NOT bash me for once.

I listened to the new Killers album and was underwhelmed. What happened to them rocking? I like them; i Really do, but the new album is worse than Sam's Town (which was nowhere near the caliber of Hot Fuss). They need to back up and realize their biggest song was Somebody Told Me and get back to more songs like that

I bought the new album, I like it but not as much as Sam's Town or Hot Fuss, with Sam's town being my favorite. There are some songs I really don't like on the new cd, but I agree they need to get back to Somebody Told Me, and All These Things That I've Done.

"Somebody told me" was the first song I liked by them. Not really feeling the new album.
A you can see by my sig, I am digging Porcupine Tree. Anybody know of more bands like this?

http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=_hd-uklv-5gEverybody who like John Legend and especially Andre 3000 of Outkast should like this song.
Beat is a bit like "Millionaire" by Kelis and Andre. John Legends voice rocks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ4aUGGJBiwTrack of the new Common album coming out December 9th. Sweet Neptunes beat with some nice lyrical common style.
Sat Dec 13, 2008 11:23 pm
Anybody checked that Common album yet? I was pretty disappointed by that one. It's like lyrically he took a giant leap backwards and the production is kinda annoying and there's way too many tracks about hos.
BUT it's all good because I found this album:

I recommend this album to anyone who likes that classic conscious rap. This is the 2nd best hip-hop album of 08 in my opinion.

Well, Im a fan. So I guess I am a bit more tolerant. I did not like the album when I first listened to it. But after two or three days there are a couple of tracks that I really like.
Inhale (just like I wrote above)
What A World
Changes
Everywhere
Its a strange style. His lyrics are not regressing though imho. The production of some tracks is really annoying, I agree.
All in all I like it.

The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I (1999)Phenomenal album. Got it yesterday and already listened a dozen times. Sounds like the best of Pavement, Built To Spill and Weezer. Just brilliant. Its really a shame these guy have broken up. Nonetheless,
Emergency & I is an underrated masterpiece, and I would recommend anyone who likes great indie rock to check this out.
Favorite Tracks: What Do You Want Me To Say?, You Are Invited, The City

The-Dream. Love/Hate.
Great album all around. it's R&B enough for you slow jam/R&B fans and still manly/hip-hop enough for the thugs out there.
