Just picked up Burnout Paradise. As a huge fan of the 2nd game I was really happy to see that there are different classes of cars. One that gets boost from wrecking other cars, one from doing stunts, and another "Speed" which uses the 2nd game's boost system. Basically you can't use your boost until you will the bar all the way up. While boosting if you continue driving like a tard you could especially boost forever by chaining them together...awesome

.
I wanna go fast

JaoSming, That game is pretty fun. I liked the multiple classes also. (though I ended up picking Stunt, the easiest, every time) However, if you get about 10 hours in, the open-ended-ness really ruins the game since there is no restart option and you can't jump to races on the map. First few hours are awesome though. Showtime Mode FTW!
Gamefly just send me Devil May Cry 4, so I've been playing that. I'm surprised at how much fun it is. The first one was great, but the second was pathetic, and the third was alright, but not that great.
I'm also playing The Orange Box, but for some reason I just can't get myself to beat HL2. I'll get addicted to it, then distracted. Stupid Gamefly.

Anyone excited for r6v2 as much as I am? I'm aware it will probably be just the same as the original but with a run button, but the first R6V was so fun to play I'm keen for the second. It's one of the few games where the storyline (and even graphics) can be as pathetic as they were and it's still fun to play.
Other games I'm looking forward to:
Ninja Gaiden 2
Soul Calibur 4
GTAIV
Lego Batman
MSG4
And eventually gears of war 2.

AVP2, kinda old, but still good first person shooter.
I usually play it when I start loosing some games in NBA live or FIFA

Mostly NBA 2k8 and Gears of War for me, but my 360 is going a bit unused until GTA:IV comes out. I got a free copy of the Sims 2 the other day so ive been messing around with that although it gets boring after a while so i started killing off the neighborhood

by inviting people over then locking them in a room and taking away the doors its amusing to watch as they walk into the walls confused then they perish from hunger, ive killed about 10 people thus far its the only thing that keeps this game entertaining lol.

Just taking my time with Crysis and playing STALKER for the 3rd time. Also finishing Timeshift, the last 2 episodes of Sam & Max Season 1, and about to play Half-Life 2 Episode 2 for the 2nd time.
Waiting for Assassin's Creed for PC in a couple of weeks, I wasn't too convinced at first, but it seems that the PC port looks even better.
And pretty bummed out that STALKER: Clear Sky and Far Cry 2 have been postponed til this Fall...

I also suggest you see a psychiatrist.
It's different when the gameplay mechanics dictates you to kill characters (FPS, Worms, etc.) as from creating scenarios that are very very different from the intended objective.

He's right though. The only fun part of The Sims is having your lesbians invite people over just to build walls around them until they die.
Then after three days of slaughter you never touch the game again.

I've been playing 3D Ultra Minigolf on Xbox live 360 arcade... it's really quite enjoyable.
Thu Apr 03, 2008 7:23 am
Bad donny, get Marble Blast Ultra
Thu Apr 03, 2008 8:47 am
I've mostly been playing assorted games in the GTA series as of late, mostly because IV is coming out soon. Aside from that, I picked up my NBA Live 06 Dynasty again and am playing a few games now and again.

My latest XBLA purchase was the Ninja Turtles arcade game from the 80s, a selection I'm sure you'll appreciate (though I use Leonardo). If the Simpsons arcade game from the early 90s ever comes out, I'll be getting that one too.

as for the sims games, i own sims 1 and 2 plus every xpac that goes with it. my wife just cant stop that game. everytime i pay for one of them xpacs i just think of the game i wont be able to buy now cause of it.

Yeah, I used to play the Sims as well. I worked a bit like some of my NBA Lives on PC: I only kept playing them, because I could download new patches almost every day, then the game seemed fresh or something like that.
But right now, just like 4 months ago, haven't touched any full game besides NBA 2k8. Just some demos off PS Store. And I don't mind, don't have the time anyways.
Only other game that I'm looking forward to is GTAIV. Gotta have that.

Oh yeah, I have the Turtles arcade game too. It's so insanely difficult on default settings (without unlimited lives). Great game though. I also use Leonardo in most cases.. except if playing online, gotta be Donnie.
Which Simpsons game? I remember a few from the SNES-Genesis era. Virtual Bart, something about Krusty's Fun House (or something like that), Bart's Nightmare? I have fond memories of all of them.

Heh, oops. Reading comprehension= win. Yes, the arcade one was pretty good too. I spent alot of quarters on that one at this pizza/pub place I used to go to all the time.
X-Men was also awesome, agreed. The old Spider-Man arcade game (just a beat-em-up like the others we're talking about) was great... you could play as Hawkeye.

i played the original sims and i even got into sims 2 for awhile. if i paid for them i guess i should play them some right? anyway i actually sent in a sims 2 story to the website which was about a character who was a complete whore, but also an artist. he would sleep with a woman then in the morning paint a portrait of her in her underwear and then hang the picture on the wall in his massive trophy room. my wife told me i was sick for doing that but i thought it made the game fun. after i submitted the story and everything i got bored and quit the game

With the difficulty of some of the boss battles, it's definitely better as a multiplayer game. Mind you, button mashing remains a pretty effective strategy.
