I went to a concert Sat night (McGinty concert, Celtic music, good stuff (Y) ). It was a smaller type concert in what was basically a naval training center's gym with a small stage and a bunch of tables, kind of like a bar. Fucking right, oh man, it was awesome! Me and my friend, John, both of us 16, his dad and older brother Steve. His brother brought friends from college (college girls, fuck yeah! :P ). Me and my friend had to be the youngest two there. It was basically navy people, college kids, and old people. Now, Celtic music is most definately better live, especially if you get up and dance, which I did. Think Irish fiddle music; it's just so energetic that you get right into it and of course have to sing along.

Right, now on with the rest of the story. The doors opened at 7:30, the opening act went on from 8 to 9 (they were okay), then McGinty played from 9:30 to 1:00 in the morning. After 5 hours of drinking (yes, they had a bar in the gym, and of course you have to drink beer at a Celtic concert), pretty much everyone was hammered. The bartender even asked if I wanted beer when I went over (all I wanted was Sprite), and I don't even look that old. I would have taking him (and one of Steve's friend's) up on it

- damn, detour here for a quick story: one of Steve's friends brought his dad, who also brought a friend. This dad's friend got completely hammered, so when the 3 (Steve's friend, his dad, and his dad's friend) left, Steve's friend gave me 3 drink tickets that the dad's friend had bought but obviously didn't need. I gave them to one of the girls, whose first offer was did I want a beer. I love college girls. :P -

if I didn't have to drive home later. So, college kids, beer, Celtic music (including a guy who must have been in his 40's going up on stage and singing with the band  ) = fun. And the best part was that everyone acted like they knew each other, like it was a party at someone's house, but a Celtic kitchen party with beer and music. It was absofuckinlutely awesome! And I love collge girls!

Edit: Forgot the  (Y)

Got tickets today for Noel Gallagher solo show in Melbourne at the Forum. This show is meant to be superb and the concerts are real limited. Very, very excited. It's only 11 days away. Mad-fer-it

Oh yeah, I also passed all my semester 2 subjects. Got a 50/100 in criminal law, so I just scraped through a pass. Fuck Yeah! (So glad I don't have to do it again)

I have very good news right now. Tonight on NBC (it has actually already started) they are having a great "comedy night" line-up from 7-9 central time. Right now My Name is Earl is finishing up but after that you got a brand new The Office, Scrubs and then 30 Rock. It's looking like it will be a very good Thursday night for NBC.

I didn't do that badly on the final exam of the class I was worried about, but my grade in another class is questionable. I don't want to worry about it right now. PLus, I like playing on my new computer :o

Hmm, good news thread...

I don't have any specific good news to tell, but my life is absolutely cruising right now. Absolutely nothing going wrong, and everything (most things) going right.

- I applied for a Music Composition uni course, and have recently taken a bunch of tests/interviews/workshops. I don't know whether i've gotten in yet or not. But i feel like i've done really well in the tests/interviews/workshops and that there's a high to very high chance of me getting in. And it's my dream to do this!!

- I've met a great girl. We're so similar it's actually freaky. Same interests, beliefs, habits, humour and just everything other little thing. A great person who suits me perfectly, with unique and alternative good looks to boot. My kind of girl. We get along great, feel comfortable and happy with eachother etc. Anyway, the best part is she likes me just as much, and wouldn't be suprised if she's my girlfriend soon enough.

- I quit my job about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and am currently unemployed. This is a good thing cos i'm currently living of the $2,000 which i saved up from work (though i'm down to about 1400 - 1500), and life is great. No stress or chores. Just relaxing and having a good time on weekends. Though it will suck in another month or 2 when i run out of money. I should probably plan ahead, or i'll be posting in the Letting off steam thread soon enough)

That's pretty much it. Yay for nick!

Funny stuff man.

More good news today. Of the condos my wife and I were looking at we finally got an actual adress and its in the building we wanted. They have various colours and I like either orange or brown and we got the orange. Has a lake view and all. We'll be moving in on the 29th and I'm so excited I get erections in public maybe 6 times an hour.

Oh yea, we'll also have two places for the next month so I can probably switch between them whenever I like which will be cool. Have some parties and stuff.

currently downloading (legally) the Windows Vista Business Release :D Pretty excited for this. I messed around with the BETAs back at Vermont Tech and I liked what I saw.

And if it doesnt work, this computer needed a reformat anyway. :P

I am so glad the Holidays are over. Working in retail really sucks during that two month period leading up to Christmas. Now that it's over that means all the crappy seasonal people will be out the door soon and my hours will be reduced! I'm already seeing the effects as I am not scheduled to work next Saturday. That is the first time in a few months that I don't have to work a weekend day. Also, the stores are a lot more empty now. In fact, hardly anyone goes shopping at Toys R Us during January. It's a lot of fun. (Y)
