hahaha. that's awesome. the stupidity of mankind knows no limits.
jericho is one of the more entertaining things going in the wwe.

I am enjoying melina as the champ. I always liked her ass. and her wrestling action sequences are pretty nice as well.
it's a shame they are making her wear pants. I miss the skirts.

can anyone remember a worse story line than shawn "please punch my wife in the face" micheals being justin "I got knocked down by a midget" lakefield's employee? when they started it, they still had micheals doing the infomercials for dx gear. lol. I can't wait for this one to end.

on a different note: wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

That failure of hitting the mat 3 feet before he kicked was pretty funny to me.

God, I remember the first time he did that, I almost shit myself.

He did it at Mania 23 too, it didn't look as bad back then as it did this time though.

Re: WWE Thread

Shane's not a bad worker for an occasional performer though that ending to RAW a couple of weeks back where he clearly wasn't connecting on his punches - moreso than the averaged worked punch - looked pretty sloppy. I'm just waiting for someone in the McMahon family to turn, again.

Christian is back and is on ECW, challenged Swagger for the ECW Title.

And a must-read for those who of you who, like me, hates the toy we call the WWE Championship.

Re: WWE Thread

Wed Feb 11, 2009 3:35 pm

Yup, just for that I'm gonna download ECW too.

Re: WWE Thread

Wed Feb 11, 2009 6:03 pm

Yay! He's back! I think he'll just chase the ECW championship and not get involved on Hardy's storyline.

Re: WWE Thread

Wed Feb 11, 2009 8:34 pm

I guess this is one way to re-establish Christian in the WWE without having him immediately in the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship pictures and possibly give him a "world title" reign in WWE with the ECW belt, where they can continue to build him and have him in the upper midcard and main event scene. After all, they're not likely to acknowledge him as a former TNA champion, only his former midcard and tag success in his first WWE run.

Great article, thanks for the link. Unfortunately he was wrong about reverting to the old design when Cena lost the belt though. :(

Re: WWE Thread

Interesting. I'm gonna get that ECW show. Guess he'll land at SD or RAW sooner or later.

edit:
his return was quite unspectacular, probably because Striker & Grisham were pretty emotionless.
Striker also added that "this moment has just become instantly classic". Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't The Instant Classic his TNA nickname? I guess they messed this one up. At least Grisham called him Captain Charisma later on.

I kinda liked the older belts compared to the current one. The Big Eagle, Winged Eagle, and Undisputed belts were the best ones for me.

EDIT:

I mean these are championship belts.

I also thought that Christian would be on SmackDown rather than ECW. Though plans may have changed when news of his return were spread throughout the internets.

Re: WWE Thread

christian on ecw? hahaha.

that new kid from the heart dungeon had the gayest haircut I've seen on a wrestler in a while.
he was entertaining though. crisp execution on his moves.

glad to see nattie on tv again, even if it's ecw. I don't get it though. she can talk, work and looks hot.
why do we have to put up with someone like michelle mccool instead? ok, she has a nice ass, that I get.
http://nl.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=343sltt&s=5
but she has the personality of a shoe and her in ring skills are plainly dangerous.
I'm waiting for her to kill someone with the styles clash. being the undertakers piece sure is handy I guess.

something else. isn't this thread supposed to be in entertainment instead of sports?

Re: WWE Thread

Thu Feb 12, 2009 7:22 pm

His haircut looked silly but he had some cool moves, that kick was spot on. His finisher looked sloppy though.
Natalya looked awesome on ECW. Since she wasn't a factor on Smackdown I hoped they'd put her on RAW but let's see what she does with her boyfriend on ECW now ..
I guess they turned her a face too?!

Same here.

Christian could well end up on Smackdown at some point and I'm sure he'll appear on the other shows as they're not so restrictive with the brand split these days but with the way they're doing the double tapings of Smackdown at the moment, a surprise return would've been more difficult. I think it's fine to begin with, it doesn't hurt to have established talent on ECW to give the brand some more credibility which in turn helps build the up and coming wrestlers.

Edge got the upper hand in the end of SmackDown, I'm smelling another Title change ...

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Feb 15, 2009 3:58 am

anyone else miss kerwin white? I like chavo and what he does now too. just thought it was an awesome gimic. with the golfcar and all.

am I the only one who couldn't care less about mvp's face turn? they just had him lose too much.

I wish they would call shelton's finisher something else. paydirt sounds like... I don't know what it sounds like. but I don't like it.

why don't they unify the tag team belts? I really don't see the point of having 2 pairs of them.
primo is an excellent bumper.

I wish they hadn't broken up the hardies.

I miss ditzy maria. is eve the diva with the nicest body on smackdown? I mean I like maryse a lot, but damn eve was looking good. and maria smacked her in the titty after the match. lol.

I don't care who wins the chamber as long as tripple h loses.

the raw chamber match lineup looks fucking weak.

I think I would like kozlov better if he didn't wrestle in tighty whities. he is getting more entertaining though.

why does the undertaker wear eyeliner?

That was my first thought too, but it could just be a swerve. If Edge loses, I'm guessing Taker or HHH will be the most likely to win it.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Feb 15, 2009 11:09 am

Oh boy, Taker would look extremely sill with the Cena WWE Belt around his waist.

But serioulsy, I hope he Edge won't lose it.
HHH -> Edge -> Hardy -> Edge -> ?? All since Survovor Series, it's getting rediculous.

Random question: Has there every been a Taker-HHH one-on-one matchup at a PPV?

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Feb 15, 2009 11:55 am

The amount of short reigns is ridiculous, but I'm getting a bit bored of Edge as the champion. Jeff Hardy's run was ended way too soon.

Taker and HHH squared off at Wrestlemania 17, funnily enough in Houston.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Feb 15, 2009 7:50 pm

Indeed, so that's why Vince should dispose of that gay toy belt and bring back the Undisputed one. Luckily for JBL who wore it for 10 months. :|

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:14 am

The spinner belt sells though, so whatever it loses in integrity and prestige in the eyes of older fans it balances out with dollars. But like I said in an earlier post if you bring in one of the old designs or a new design that is more traditional, that'll sell well too being a "new" belt. I think we're probably just going to have to put up with it for a while yet; the way the belts are booked bother me more than the design at the moment.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:18 am

Yeah, agreed on that too. So if they'll push for a great SmackDown WrestleMania main event, would Edge lose it to someone else at No Way Out?

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:29 am

Possibly. I'm in two minds in picking winners for No Way Out, on one hand all signs point to Edge dropping the belt to someone and with both belts on the line in the two Elimination Chamber matches I figure that one of them will be changing hands. They'll probably want to do Orton/Cena which would mean that Cena retains (unless they want to do another quick title change before Wrestlemania) so that would leave the WWE Championship as the one dropped by the reigning champ. But I could just as easily see them booking Edge to keep the belt until Wrestlemania then doing a rematch with Taker or giving HHH the shot somehow.

With Edge getting the "last word" on Smackdown, it seems to point to the first scenario but I can't shake the feeling that might be a swerve. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:34 am

I really hoping for an Undertaker-Triple H match. For the title.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Feb 16, 2009 12:40 am

I'd prefer that too but wrestling tradition favours Heel vs Face for all the marbles, especially at a flagship PPV like Wrestlemania which is why I can see them leaving the title on Edge. They have done Face vs Face before, of course.

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Feb 16, 2009 1:22 am

Yeah really tough to predict that PPV. Both titles on the line in the Chambers means one title will change hands, no doubt about it. I also thought they'll do Cena/Orton at Wrestlemania plus the Heavyweight Title Chamber looks pretty weak. The only one who I would think they'd give a one-month run is Mysterio, he hasn't have a title for some time now, he even lost the IC final bout to CM Punk.

With the lineup in the WWE Title Chamber I guess everything's possible, I doubt they'd give it to Hardy or Kozlov though.
I'm having a gut feeling that Big Show might be a WWE Champion in the near future, but I don't think they gonna make him headline Wrestlemania.

My picks are on Cena and HHH winning.
