The last couple of days I've been doing a lot of B-Spec events. I finished the Extreme events and am up to Endurance events.
My B-Spec level is higher than my A-Spec now. (A-25, B-26)

Got a 4 hour race going atm. Mazda MX-5's on Tsubuka track. You only get like 30,000 for winning it too.

i never got into endurance races in previous versions. i could never get the best licenses or i would not have the patience for it. the only endurance races ive done in the 4 games combined was super speedway 100 laps in GT2 (& 3?) and i probably b-speced 1 or 2 in GT4.
you are really going hard at B-spec for that Red Bull car eh?
right now i'm stuck at ~45% level 23. i had $2 million but i had to waste 1 mil for that lame touring car race. i couldn't even sell that POS after the race. i buckled down and finished out the advanced karting, the last nascar event, and silvered all of the advanced AMGs. all i have left in a-spec are the historic race (which i still haven't figured out yet. let me know if you ever get it), nascar series, formula GT (i got like 1.2 mil right now, gotta save up 5 mil right?), and dream car (im not at lvl 24 yet).
can't figure out the sebastian loeb events. i got a bronze on toscana by a margin of 0.051 seconds

and the chamonix one is doable if i can stay away from crashing. not sure about eiger yet.

Actually I'm only really doing B-Spec because I've come to a halt in A-Spec and it's easier letting someone else drive for you.
I finished another endurance event before. 4 hours on Tsubuka. Over 200 laps. Good thing there was some NBA games on today.
Now just a couple more times doing the first one again and I'll be able to do the level 27 event.
I forgot to mention, I finished the Historic event the other night. I used a Toyota 7 Race car that I won from LTW in B-Spec.

The Formula GT is totally worth all the effort it takes to save up for it. It's the reason my B-Spec is level 26 now.
The only things I have left to do in A-Spec Extreme events are Nascar and Formula GT.

Once you get a Formula GT it won't take long to get your own.
Finished the level 27 endurance race this morning. Actually put it on then went back to sleep for a couple of hours while it raced. B-Spec ftw!

actually, it will. that requires a lot of b-specing and waiting. i don't have the patience for that. i feel like i'm getting to the point where i stop playing. once i get to endurance races, i'm not sure if i'd want to play the game anymore. hwat i do like is that the races towards the end here are still pretty short. only 5 laps still in expert races.

Up to level 30 B-Spec now. Unlocked the Red Bull X1 Challenge. Had a go at it and missed bronze by 45 seconds.
Currently doing the Suzuka 1000km endurance race. You get an X1 as a gift when you reach level 35 B-Spec. That's my goal.

so i picked up the game again after a couple days off. i finally reached level 24 and beat the dream car series and advanced amg academy so i'm stuck saving up for the formula gt again. i've been buying cars on the side, stuff i'd like to have just to have. still looking for the RUF RGT though. nascar series is impossible except for the 1st race (indy). what did you do to beat it? and what did oyu do after beating dream car? what level do oyu need for endurance?
Mon Dec 20, 2010 8:37 pm
Endurance events start at level 25.
I haven't been able to beat the Nascar races in A-Spec. Bastards keep spinning me out.
After beating everything in A-Spec, (apart from the Nascar and Formula FT series), I did the first endurance race.
Since then I've been doing B-Spec. I'm almost level 35 and I've only got the two 24 hour races left to do now.
Should have an X-1 by the morning.

WTF 3:49 lap in nurburgring???
yeah my problem in nascar is that the car loses control when i accelerate while cornering.
i got about 2.9 million dollars now, and i still need about 5 mil total for the formula GT?
Mon Dec 20, 2010 9:32 pm
Mine was roughly 4.8 mil. Totally worth it.

5 hours into the Le Mans 24 hour race and wow. It's been raining the whole time, but it's just started to get dark.
I'm glad my B-Spec guys are driving because from cockpit view it's impossible to see anything through the rain drops and darkness.
This game is awesome.
Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:03 pm
how do you get them to push the pace and br aggressive? i tried the pick up truck one and he keeps getting beat on the daytona "corners" even though he has way more power than everyone else.
Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:24 pm
They get faster the higher their level is. Also if you choose your driver's personality closer to 'hot', then they'll be more aggressive.
Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:32 pm
dammit i didnt know the consequences of hot or cold so i deliberately picked a cool one
Wed Dec 22, 2010 6:01 am
I remember in GT4, it always made the most sense to have the driver's aggression at 1 or 2 out of 5. Anything higher, and he'll pull way ahead, but go out of bounds on most corners.
Wed Dec 22, 2010 8:16 am
yeah thats why i picked the cool guy. but im at level 8 with him i dont wanna have to build up another guy
Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:31 am
Finished the Le Mans 24 hour.
The final race is at level 40 though. Going to take a while to get there.
Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:47 am
i just got the new patch. i like the online dealership and i was able to buy the formula gt after selling a few cars. it wouldve helped for that damn pick up truck race a long time ago. i like the gt academy contest but i am nowhere near good enough to win. in the rome circuit my time was ranked 1000th
i like the other events though. looks like new ways to keep the game fresh for those late in the game who are stuck. i havent tried the drift events but im looking forward to it.
Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:33 pm
Driving the X1 is crazy. The speed and grip are too much for my reactions so far.
Need more practice.
Thu Dec 23, 2010 6:38 am
My friend told me he souped up a Toyota Yaris and beat a Ferrari with it.
Likely at all?
Thu Dec 23, 2010 10:26 am
Depends on which Ferrari it was and who was driving it.
Thu Dec 23, 2010 4:29 pm
did you win forumla gt series? its hard since like the nascar series all cars are on an even playing field. i did the first endurance with my roommate. what a waste of time lol

Someone certainly isn't a fan of realism in videogames.
