I'd be estatic with the system if I didn't have these problems, so I would suggest that people watch out for their systems scratching their games....I think I just got a lemon, but will swap it & should be fine, hopefully....

Sorry to dig back to the first page and all, but i thought i remembered The X talking about this, and i think im having the same problem, so if you can offer a hand The X, please!!..
My brand new 2k7 game which i got 2 days after Christmas after about 2 hours total of my playing the game (not straight, but coming back to it -turning it off inbetween of course) it came up with a "Disc cannot be read message". Not only did this shit me because it was my first association on the 360 and i was yet to save it, but i'd only had the box for 2 days. So anyways, i took out the game, gave it a clean with a wet cloth as the pop up suggested, no dice. Upon closer inspection, i noticed that there was a scratch-ring around the edge of the disc, i then asked the mother to pick me up one of those scratch repair kits from Sanity (it was the last copy at EB, so even though i had the game guarentee, i knew id have to wait a few days, and i cant do that.. fucking addicting 2k7), and that seemed to solve the disc not able to read problem.. then its been doing it every now and then, the game will play, but the commentary will be extremely delayed (eg. talking about a foul that happened 2 min ago, with extended periods of silence in between), before the same message comes up - "disc cant be read". These recent ones i had resolved by just turning the 360 off and on again.. But this afternoon, it did it again, now i can play 30 seconds into a game before the dreaded message pops up.. It hasnt happened with any other games, but ive hardley played anything other than 2k7. Nows probably a good time to mention that i also borrowed my mates copy the day before i got mine, and the same message popped up, but we thought it might have been because i had it standing up, instead of lying down..
Now i have got the extended 3 year (i think, might be 2, but its extended nonetheless) warranty on my 360, so i can swap it, but i was just going to ask a bit more about your 'scratchbox 360' X. So if you dont mind, a few questions..
1. Did you also get these messages, and the disc was scratched despite it not being bumped once with a game in the tray?
2. Where did you buy your Xbox 360?
3. What questions were asked when you told them it was scratching the disc?
4. Did you have any problem obtaining a new one, or did they just send yours for repair?
5. How long did it take for your new one?
Sorry for all the questions man, but i just wanna get to the bottom of this, so i can continue my otherwise excellent 360 experience.

First of all, i was asking The X, second, see above as to why it matters to me, and third, what do you think im going to come to brazil, find the store and steal customer info or something? I probably took what you said in the wrong context, and if i did, ignore this haha.
