An icecream man doesn't surprise me, I dobut most typical KKK members are incredibly successful, sophisticated people.

Way back when a lot of high society white men were involved in the KKK or other racist organizations. Most of them were plantation owners or other kind of slave-owners and they didn't want the black people to get equal rights because they needed the slaves to make a profit.
That is just the kind of world that they lived in back then. Black people would form political groups and then the white men in the KKK would come at night and kill them and burn their houses. Or they would threaten the black people who went to go vote once they were given the right to.

Some people blame their frustrations and disappointments in life to other people, and vent that anger to them.

If you keep on aiming at people that are racist, chances are you are going nowhere. Individual racists that actually create an impact are very hard to find.
The problem is that people think that if we change our hearts and minds, if we change the individuals, racism will disappear. This is just wrong. Look at the world now. The percentage of people that would really be crazy white supremacists are pretty low, yet our society is still racist. Why? The system hasn't changed a damn bit, and if we keep on blaming the individuals and ignoring the system of race that surrounds us, we will continue to go nowhere.
That's not to say that racist jokes and slurs are completely free from blame. The root of racism are the stereotypes, the lies that people tell generalizing all the races, causing this twisted view of an entire race. They are just jokes, but where do you draw the line? And won't some people think some of it is true? You keep on accumulating stereotypes like this and people will think they're facts. Supposedly we all came from Africa, we were all one race and originated from one race. Furthermore, chances are everyone mixed themselves with other races at one point in our 2 million year history. Are the races really that different from one another? And where do you draw the line? It's too vague to be a science. Race does not exist. We created race to create racism. This probably sounds like nonsense to all of you. Oh well. I tried. AGAIN.
