Jesus also called Peter "the rock" and said "this is the rock I will build my church on." But here Jesus was likening "rock" to "faith." That was cool to learn about the rock that water came out of for the Israelites.

I agree with SO that there is a difference between the physical and spiritual forms of Jesus (how else could He be everywhere at once?), so then the second coming would mean that it would be the second time Jesus's physical form came to earth since the resurrection...

COOLmac, do you think that the end of time/earth will happen a different way? How so?

i agree whole heartedly with what the bible predicts. with fire everything will perish.actually cyanide not 95% of the population will go to hell.......think about those that lived before us. there were so many good men around. so let's say that many will still experience the new earth and the new heavens

I was thinking about the time when God flooded the earth and spared Noah and a few others. That was probably 95% of the population, and I'm sure that with your God, only the ones that are going to heaven are the ones that went to confessions before committing another sin

ok. i'll explain right now.

we all know that whe we die we return to dust. but our spirit leaves our earthly bodies. so where do we go then? to heaven? to hell? to purgatory?
actually we go right about here....

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. ECLESIASTES 12:7

our spirit will return to God.
so when will we go to hell or to heaven?

i forgot the verse. i don't have my bible with me now.

basically the dead will be risen at the same time with us the living all at once. and there and there God will judge us all. all through out history the dead and the living will all be together judge wether we go to hell or in the new earth and new heavens.


so if someone say i saw your dead grandma walking in the atic. its not your dead grandama that gave him the apparation. since all spirits laid rest back to God and will only be awaken at the judgement. so who was the spirit then? that's another new lecture soon.

cyanide you have a point there with noah but times has changed.like i said you can't fool God by telling to your self...."man i can't quit to be a murderer. maybe at the brink of death i'll ask God's forgiveness i'll still be able to make it to heaven......but for now on to the killing." God knows when you are sincere and when you are worthy to be called as a son of God......you can't just basically fool him with your own opinion and knowledge, remember He's wisdom is far more greater than we can imagine

Let's talk about Ghosts, evil spirits n demons.. Coolmac..
It's the other way to proof that non-seeable things also exist..
how many types are there.. etc.. and have you had any experience bout casting ghosts away..

+ i'm sure.. the wooden cross in the Exorcist.. had nothing to do with castin away demons.. cuz.. it's the Faith that saves.. not that.. man-made wooden thingee..

well i don't know about ghost but there's a description about "other creatures" in the bible that cannot be seen. and remember satan and his minions can take any shape and any form too.
i dont have any experience at exorcism. because when i'm in a place where there's an exorcist happening or an evil spirit is lurking i feel very uneasy(not that i'm scared) but i just dont like the evil atmosphere.

i don't use cross or any man made things which many poeple believe will make them holy......remember what Jesus said when you worship God you worship him with all your heart and all your soul and all your body....never was stated there with all the saints and with all the replica's of Mary and other stuff. i know God doesn't approve of those.

in terms of ghost/demon hunting i have been into ecounters with these unclean spirits in the past when i was a punk ass boy.........but lately i haven't seen one. guess i became to busy to be adventurous.

there are two worlds, one that can't be seen and the one that can be seen. if you are gifted you can be in both of these worlds.....guess what satan is gifted

EDIT: to make things straight SO. i ain't a pastor/priest/exorcist or any other religion minister out there. i'm just a plain old guy who works as a database admin. with a few business establishment. i just know a lot of things in the bible which shocks most poeple including me.

i dont have any experience on those as well.
but i heard .. after you become a christian and then worship somethingelse, say buddhist.. there's a big chance that your Spirit will be unclean and be possess..by demons.. that time.. that evil spirit within that guy.. declared himself as.. King..
so the brothers thought he was King Nero.. (that evil king..can't spell his name)..
and they had to pray hard.. putting hand on top of that person's head..
basically that possessed person.. kept makin evil ugly faces which human couldn't do.. and also kept givin excuses sayin he wanna go out etc etc...
but in fact he couldn't stay any longer.. cuz of the power of Prayer..
and this is true from a testimony i heard from someone i know..

other than that.. i havent seen one.. but u know.. ghosts n demons exist..
can just read it from the bible..
it started when.. the angels came to "dilute" with human and were punished .. by God..at Noah's age..
and then.. God only punished heaven n earth.. but not the sea....
so.. i believe alot of demons n evil spirits n ghosts are in the sea....
i suppose more than on the earth..(land etc)

that's a possibilty.

actually i saw many demons when i was a kid and a teener. i often travel to our farms and i end up going to places where there are almost no humans around. i also felt evil presences at places where there were bad events or a chaotic place.....

that answers why the bible says that satan always take advantage of human weaknesses. i'll cite an example.

on the street next to my farm there was a story there that during the Japanese invasion many filipinos were beheaded rght just there. and for decades poeple has been confessing that they saw headless men walking at the dead of night....for the devil this is a good opurtunity....he will take a form of a headless man and scared the shit out of those poeple. then those poeple will start offering chicken and doves to that place to take away the evil spirits. sometimes they often seek help from a spiritist. all these practices is what the bible said very gruesome to the Lord. instead of offering your best crops to the Lord these poeple end up making sacrifices to please these evil spirits..thus making satan more happier. i hope you get what i mean.

as Jesus used to say " the dead cannot remember or will have no recollection of anything when he returns to dust,he cannot return to his own house, but unto his Father in heaven."

so these spirits and ghost ain't the poeple that lived long ago but something else.....minions of satan perhaps

also one more fact. seems like satan enjoys places that are either noisy/chaotic/unpeaceful/sorrowful all the opposite of happiness. these places are very appealing to the lord of lies..so be wary of these places. always remember a happy place is always evil free

i doubt it but hey look here........why did God just nuke satan into pieces and blow his dust to kingdom come? because He is still leaning towards satan good(if there's any left).... and God is God of justice. He will judge satan for his actions soon....besides as the creator He loves all His works...so even if some were rotten apples in a basket He still have the patience to wait and hope even in the slimmest of hope

next time i'll bring my bible to work so i can open up more topics for you guys.......
