So, yes, last week was a sick week, and this week was the end of the open gym. My body healed up nicely, but man, I am still feeling the fatigue. Got the off-the-glass done, even if it was light. Hell, even did it twice, with a cradle, and some proper right-left dunking in the extras.

The plan is to work on my joint muscles, lose weight, boost cardio, and get my strength & quickness up to par. Basically, nothing to do with basketball for a little while. When I find a good 10' outdoor hoop, or figure out a way to regularly share my progress, this will all return. But for now, thanks for the support and I hope you've gotten some enjoyment out of the last 5+ months.

he was a farmer as a child, he does not wear down, I'm serious. He's got stamina that is unbelievable. He regularly played the entire game in college, although he would get breaks during the game due to his sweat dripping making the refs think there was a leak in the roof, lol.

Sunglasses were to be BA but notice how the sun shines in our faces near the rim, that was why, the sun was opposite the rim, so right in the defender's face. No court btw, just a rim on the side of the parking lot of the high school, which is why I got screwed by my 3s,

He was a starter though at PF, all-time leading scorer in high school (which has since been bested), and the starting center in college was an all-Vermont player.

I was a role player at best, in high school and college. Jump in, grab boards/shut down big guys, give the starters a break.

I am 6'1, I weighed in at 230 in January. I am down to 215 now. I used to have some good hops (36 in vert measured in 2003) but I weighed 180.

I am slowly increasing my workouts but I am 32 years old now and I am sore for days after running a few full court games. And I am now awful....like DWade in the Pacer series awful.

Anyways this posts have given me some motivation to get off my ass and see if I can dunk again.

I was hoping to do a "hometown" edition from this weekend's trip to my parents house....but I was met with the utter shock of seeing my home court replaced by a mound of dirt as they are renovating the entire park. It will be great to have a new court, and the new playground was great for my daughter, but it sucked that I didn't get to record any basketball while down there (golfed though).
