You'll change your mind when the Rapture actually comes!

Are you referring to the Cat Lords?

No, the hierarchy of ascended animals.

Today had my first exam to finish out the high school (we have 5 exams here, 1 is obligatory (essay type of thing), 4 is up to choose), first up was the essay kind of thing. Usually haven't had any problem with it, but today had some difficulties with it.
All 5 exams now done. They ended up being easier than I thought.
That is all.

That has to be a relief. Congrats!

Spent all afternoon watching the 1986 NBL Grand Final. Earliest NBL game I've got on DVD other than that is 2006, and I've only been following the league since 2000, so it's awesome to see Sengstock, Loggins, etc.

Dear LiveJournal,
Just a week of school until some ridiculously easy final exams.
Then summer break BEGINS.
Thu May 26, 2011 6:27 am
Summer break has already begun for me!
Thu May 26, 2011 6:36 am
Mentally, it started a few months ago for me, but...
That reminds me of a questionnaire my senior English class answered last week: When did senioritis kick in? I answered with "Halfway through sophomore year."

Yeah I got a lot of dislikes on that my My Player buzzer-beating video. While I recorded it using Fraps and in 2K Reelmaker (which was the wrong choice considering how details disappear in that mode), a lot of people keep on trolling on how is that the PC version when it looks a lot like the Wii version.

One comment on an NBA Live 10 video on the NLSC's channel described the graphics as looking like it was the SNES version. Now, say what you will about the graphics in NBA Live 10 but they're obviously far in advance of anything the SNES could ever handle. Snarky hyperbole is a poor substitute for intelligent thought and critique, but sadly it's the bread and butter of YouTube.

HUGE storm rolling through Vermont right now, its about to hit us. The clouds are rotating and evidently there are trees and powerlines down already. Baseball size hail, etc etc, crazy abnormal weather for Vermont.
Using the "Latest Results" from Google has been really useful for tracking this storm. Just searched for "VT" and evidently there are a couple storms now capable of producing tornadoes.
Fri May 27, 2011 10:35 am
Sounds pretty nasty, stay safe.
Fri May 27, 2011 11:07 am
worst is over (i think). worst of it missed to the North of us and we only got a few minutes of severe weather
still not plugging in my stuff tonight though, just to be safe
Fri May 27, 2011 11:25 am
Down here, we recently beat our record of days without a single drop of rain, which was 109 consecutive days. We're now at 113 days, and still no rain in sight. It's dry y'all...
Fri May 27, 2011 11:31 am
Evidently those few minutes of severe weather was a confirmed tornado going through the state forest. wow

Has Vermont ever seen stuff like that? A couple pics look like an earthquake hit.
My street just flooded in like ten minutes about an hour and a half ago. It was raining so hard I couldn't see out of a few upstairs windows and I couldn't hear the music playing about twenty feet away, because of the rain beating on the roof. Thought it was hail.

We are no stranger to flooding because of the snow melt each spring, but the severity of the storm is pretty much unheard of. Instead of water going through the "normal" channels like it does with snow melting, this storm overwhelmed the drainage systems.
all of this stuff

is just from water washing out the roads and parking lots from underneath.
This is my old roommate's family farm

usually the spring flood is maybe half as big

It seems that once again, I've been mistaken for David Stern. Received this email towards the end of Game 1:
it’s the same old BS. NBA wants James to make them some cash so lets screw the Mavs. Rigged to the max

Stop rigging games Andrew!

Did you rig the East finals too? Money over Bulls loyalty?
I lost a hero today, Andrew.

Since I do get emails like that from time to time, I do wonder whether people think I have some influence in these matters and can pull some strings, or they just want to let off steam and the fact we've got contact info for team members on the website gives them an outlet. In most cases it's probably the latter, though at least a couple of them seemed as though they believed the former.
