Welcome to the most common response to our name.

No, we don't hate ghey people.
Or gay people.
We love them.
Sexually.
We're actually all gay.
We're all gay and we want to murder everyone that isn't.
RAINBOW MASSACRE BITCHAZ! :fruity: :pirate:

(but seriously i'm quite sick of at interpretation lol.)

Too late, you're already reported to the authorities for your insensitive hate crime.

And any website you post on will be blocked by Aussieland's fancy list.

^This one's on the EP, but we have an extended live version that has a sweet solo part in the middle transition. (Y)

You guys still getting comfortable performing? That guy to the right of the singer is a robot.

Considering how much absolute shit music there is in the mainstream nowadays, it's good to see some quality compositions out there. (Y)

You know, it's funny - we used to be known for our energetic live shows. Our bass player is usually the one jumping around the most. But the past 2 gigs (which happen to be the only gigs we have on film) he's been pulling this stupid attention seeking bullshit where he just stands there and and stares into distance. He says it's social experiment stuff but we can all tell it's an attention seeking thing. Needless to say the rest of the guys in the band have been talking about replacing him - he's not really a team player. It's hard though because he's been a close friend since 2007.

Anyway that aside, here's some more vids. They're from last wednesday night. These ones are our more upbeat ones in the set list, aswell as our two newest...

^ My personal fav (probably cos it's our newest song... this is the very first time we played it live)

what you could do is have the other standing band members go up to him while performing and rock out in his face. if you are usually lively like the pics on the site show, it seems to be affecting the other musicians, at least in those videos at that particular gig. you could also troll him by having the other two players do the exact same thing, and get right in front of him as well to block any attention.

Re: Band Name O'Clock

At this point, I'd just be direct with him and issue an ultimatum if you have to. Tell him that everyone needs to be a team player; everyone is entitled to make suggestions (assuming that is the case, of course) but a majority/everyone else in the band has agreed to do X, so that's what's going to be done. If he's not willing to go along with that, then it's probably time to part ways.

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Or you could be encouraging and make a song around it with everybody still until the song transitions to a more lively part and everybody goes nuts. he would have to stop doing that on other songs, though.

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Mon Jul 16, 2012 7:56 pm

Or come to a compromise like that, sure. Either way, he's got to on board with the rest of the band.

Good luck on the band success Nick! Gonna try listening on the E.P if I have the time.

Social experiment? What a douche

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Bloody hell, even the comments in here are all about him. He's gotta go.

It's about the only thing to offer advice on, you've got the musical side of things covered. ;) Speaking of which, good stuff!

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Unplug his instrument during a gig. Play backing track. Put him behind the drummer.

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Thu Jul 19, 2012 12:30 am

I wouldn't boot him out until you have a sure replacement. A good bassist is hard to come by and even though he seems to have an ego, by the sounds of it, he's pretty good. I'd offer to be your bass player, but I'm neither in Melbourne or any good :P

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Thu Jul 19, 2012 3:34 am

He is so still that if you used a backing track in place of him, nobody would notice.

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Thu Jul 19, 2012 9:31 am

Every time i load this thread and see yet another comment about him i just think "bloody hell his experiment as worked, everybody's focused on him". Even though it's negative attention, he still got it. :wall:

How often do you guys play? Have you ever played interstate?

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Thu Jul 19, 2012 11:20 pm

Depends. Sometimes we'll play 2 or 3 times in one month and sometimes we'll play 0 times in one month. Nah never played interstate. Would love to go on a tour like that though.

Re: Band Name O'Clock

Thu Jul 19, 2012 11:31 pm

Is it something you envision doing full time, or is it more of a side project/second job to your career? I have a friend of who has been playing a long time including some interstate gigs, has released a couple of EPs and had some songs on iTunes for a while, but he went to uni where he studied Communications and is currently doing some production work for the ABC, playing a few gigs every now and again and ultimately just doing it on the side.

It's an interesting question because we're right on that borderline between hobbyist band and pro band. We have the tools/talent to be pro, but the members in the band just have so many other commitments that it makes it hard. And the music business is as such that you really have to commit before you can succeed. To answer your question though, if we had the choice to do it full time and make money out of it then i'd definitely do that. Although i make my own solo tracks too (as you can see in my sig), and that is what i'm going to be relying on to make a living ($$$) out of making music, not the band.
