I feel like a traitor

Postby SFSports on Sat Sep 30, 2006 8:55 am

After seeing the negative reaction to 07, I decided to get 2k7. I'd never bought an non-EA sports game before, so I felt kind of awkward.

I was not dissapointed.

The graphics are great, the gameplay smoothe, and all in all I like it. The halftime show is awesome. I love the game.

So, am I a traitor? :D

By the way, I have PS2.

you are not a traitor, you just have enough self esteem to not buy a inferior product and be taken for granted.

Not only did you not say intuitive, but he's wrong about what intuitive means.

I think he might mean that the CAP is not only deep, but user-friendly....maybe that's what he was getting at :?

EDIT: New review at 1up....I want this game even more now....

I played 2k7 for PS2 today and it is almost the same as 2k6 with slight adjustments.

Its not even close to the 360 version.

So you already know this, but get 2k7 for nextgen

Postby tongefactor40 on Sat Sep 30, 2006 2:02 pm

not only did Live get a very average review, but 2k7 is ridiculously awesome. the player movements are amazing including really nice looking signature jump shots: having watched ray allen play for many years I know what his shot looks like, and the game matches it PERFECTLY. The controls are a little tricky, but once you get used to them they will be a lot of fun

I got the game today and have been just messing around on it non stop. Thus far I have been playing 21 with 3 and 4 players and some 3 on 3 half court. I feel like there are many extra little things you can do in the game other than the classic 5 on 5.

Anyways, I will add to this as I play more and discover new things.

I really wanted EA to do good this year, oh well, at least madden is a pretty solid game

SFSports you are one of the smart people here. 2k7 on ps2 is way better than current gen on PC or ps2 or xbox

Sounds like a Dr. Phil advice.

What Fitzy said. (Y)
It's good that you've finally seen the light and never let yourself be abused by EA anymore. Damn Live 07.

why is it, that when people attempt to write "2kX", they always attempt to capitalise at least on number and end up with a symbol instead?

I'm so glad I gave Live the screwgee this year and got 2k7 for 360, especially after seeing the crap reviews coming in for Live. I've just been playing quick games, playing as/against a lot of teams, and it is the best basketball game ever made. It has it's flaws, but they're really minor when it comes to the overall feel of the game.

I just rented this game and I must say i'm not really impressed. It's the exact same game as 2K6.

Anyways, I started a Association with the Bobcats and I'm right now am 2-1. Just defeated Magic & Warriors. I lost to Utah, and I got Cleveland next. Adam Morrison had 26 & 5 (assists). The Association mode is pretty much the same, but always fun to play.

I give 2K7 8.7/10.

you can play half or full court 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5.

21 with 3 or 4 players, and of course 1v1 half court.
Opinions are my own.
