Bledsoe's predicted to get 18 next week but you can't always trust predicted stats, he was also predicted to get 10 this week and ended up with 3.

Make me an offer for Bledsoe. Grossman is off limits.

2 fricken points. Not happy Jan.

Time for our weekly McNabb/Brown update (oh boy, AG's gonna love it now that Warner is benched.)

Season to date:
Brown 33 points
Mcnabb 111 points :!:

But of course if you really want to add Warner, a combined Kurt/Brown total is 64. McNabb is close to doubling both players.

Hey Q, why don't you veto it now? Hey AG, why don't you run that poll now with your fantasy buddies?

Time to spice things up a bit, heres some power rankings:

1. Indy: Dropping Farve for Grossman was a risky move, but hasn't it paid dividends. With Grossman being a top 5 fantasy qb so far, and a recieving core of galloway, moss (the productive moss ) and Boldin, he is a formidable opponent. But when you through in Portis and Warrick Dunn? This team is the one I fear the most at this point in time.

2. Juggs: Was trailing Indy by a couple points leading into the final game, but rod smith came up big. McNabb has been a god this season and great supporting cast of Jackson and Duce is helping him bigtime.

3. Protein Shake: I'm still comming first, but only by total points at the moment. Heading into a big matchup against Juggs with Rivers at qb, not looking good.

4. Fgrep: Unlucky not to get the win this week, Rod Smith has been a chump all season up until todays game. If Westbrook gets healthy and Jordan plays the way he's capable, this and idny's team are most capable to win.

5. Boiled Chicken and Egg: Wow, within 2 weeks a pretty big drop off. When Alexander returns and if Culpepper can get some protection, he is still a formidable opponent.

geebus Matthew, I didn't expect Donovan to absolutely shit on every team he plays :P

I'd put Donovan up there almost to Peyton status at this point

Wed Oct 11, 2006 4:41 am

I like where my team is at right now, but I would like to improve in the defense category.

I am willing to trade Big Ben (crickets) either of my defenses and one of my non top 3 recievers to pick up a backup quarterback and a defense.

Wed Oct 11, 2006 8:08 am

now you're just being silly Matthew. in hindsight you really ripped yourself off  McNabb has been the MVP of fantasy football so far...nice power rankings. total points scored is a nice indicator of how good a team is performing IMO.

lol @INDY. fantasy football is full of highs and lows. one week INDY is crying about not being able to draft his team, now he's happy where he's at :lame:

my team just has to stay above water while my top pick, Alexander, and to a lesser extent, Daunte are out with injury.

top 6 make the playoffs btw IIRC... commish?

still in the market for a QB. Bush & Gore (haha), Taylor, and even Alexander are for trade

Hey I'm still pissed I didn't draft my team, I would have taken McNabb higher then he went. I also would have drafted Baltimore's D.

However, the reason I'm in good shape is because of moves I've made on the waiver wire, therefore, you still are lucky I didn't draft my team, or else I'd be winning this league by a landslide.

O fuckin eh...lost by 1 point :(

lol whatever dude. only 3 people showed up for the draft and you don't hear anyone else making excuses. and you could have pre-ranked your players. so enough with excuse making

your team was ok to begin, it just started off slow. you pickup Grossman & 2 wins and all of a sudden you're a big dog

DONOVAN MCNABB!!!!!!!

i wish I never did that trade  J/K J/K

i shoulda put a winky guy too heh

thank goodness i played kings of NY instead of say Anthony15. i'll take whatever i can get at this point. Alexander is out for at least anothe week damnit!

congrats to cwebbiverson in getting his first win

Tue Oct 17, 2006 12:16 pm

Damn what a blowout by me, 103 points  some crazy games by bulger and LT.

Thu Oct 19, 2006 9:12 am

Wow what a crazy crazy week. The first half of the Bears/Cardinals game had me pissed off, rackers had put jugs up by 5 points thanks to the non existant bears team both on offense and defense. But after Mike Brown's td, it was good times.

Also, anyone find it funny all the spotlight is on Danny Green's postgame rather then the Cardinals offensive line? That's pretty sad.

Time for the power rankings again:

1. Protein Shake (me): This win came back to my ingenius draft. I had the forsight to draft Rivers knowing I was going to trade mcnabb and I'd need a quality qb for Mannings bye week. Also, Chicago's defense stepped up and produced big time. Beating the number 2 team when comming first is always validation for number one in my power rankings.

2.Indy's Colts (indy): By all rights he should have beaten fgrep, but grossmans -10 point performance knocked him back. That couldn't have been predicted, but it must be a newfound cause for concern heading into a showdown with me.

3. Anthony15 (anthony15): wow 103 point performance. Bulger, Whosyamamma, L.T., Parker and Casey combined for 90 points alone, which would have taken top by itself without the rest of his team. Impressive performance, and shows the volatile nature of this league.

4. Boiled Chicken and Egg (Air Gordon): Weak win, but a win nevertheless. After leading the league the first 3 weeks, he has sort of flown under the radar. If Alexander comes back productive, he is still a force to reckon with.

5. Juggernaughts Bitch (jugs): Unfortunate loss (:proud:) but he has some serious holes in his roster once you get past McNabb, Stephen and Dexter Jackson and Rackers.

Fri Oct 20, 2006 12:09 pm

that Bears game was awesome... well at least for Bears fans and owners of Bears D. thank goodness they won- otherwise Matt Leinert would have been inducted already to the Hall of Fame. i missed the postgame cuz i was going crazy with the rest of the bears fans

anywho- good stuff with the PRs. damn you for claiming VAndersnatch!

Matthew vs Indy should be a good matchup. that's assuming he puts in Big Ben. strange coincidence that both teams have a WR/RB from the same team, in the starting lineup

Fri Oct 20, 2006 12:49 pm

That game screwed me over in my league - I've got Edgerrin James and Bernard Berrian. Check out Edge's yards per rush in that game if you want to know how much I despise him.

Fri Oct 20, 2006 7:57 pm

2 losses. A damn shame. I'm 3rd. That's kewl.

Sat Oct 21, 2006 1:09 am

I'll take Edgerrin over Warrick Dunn any day. I don't care how bad Edge's season has been thus far, it's still been better then Dunn's fantasy wise, and the Cardinals have an amazingly easy season as far as run defense goes the rest of the way.

Sat Oct 21, 2006 7:32 am

same here. Dunn has more yards but James has traditionally been the better TD maker.. which i think is more important in our league. but Arizona's line is another issue.. good trade/risk taken by both sides

Mon Oct 30, 2006 7:03 pm

Oh fuck.

What are the chances that I forget to do my rosters this last week, McNabb does shit and both my QB's and K's have byes the next week.

God Damn.

I've stickied this thread, let's try to keep up the NFL talk for the rest of the year, and make this more about the actual NFL then fantasy.

Colts and Bears are the only 2 undefeated teams left, and I'm extremely excited about the Colts chances this year. We have played a lot of close games this season, and won them all. This is more of a playoff type atmosphere this year, which is exactly what we need. When it comes down to those nip and tuck playoff games, we'll be ready, and we now have the most clutch kicker in NFL history which will definitley help. If we had gotten Adam V. last year, we'd be super bowl champs right now.

Not to mention that we are now officialy a second half team. 5 weeks in a row we've trailed or been tied at halftime, and obviously won all 5. This is the best Colts team yet, and once the defense gets healthy we'll be super scary. I'm very excited. :D

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:19 am

looks like I finally ended my 5 week losing streak :P , barring any 3 TD games from Taylor & Dillon tonight.

hopefully this trend will continue

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:23 am

Jets got shafted yesteday. Bleh.

On a brighter note, I'm undefeated in my keeper FF league, and scored 199 pts yesterday, to break the league's former single game scoring record of 191 (set by me last season). (Y)

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:36 am

I was very excited for the Bengals this year, but 3 losses in the last 4 games has really cooled me off. OK, we got our asses handed to us against New England but the next week, we had the Buccaneers beat but the game came down to a ref calling unneccessary roughness when Justin Smith sacked their QB. We had a nice win against the Panthers the next week. The following week, yesterday, we lose a tough one to the Falcons, 29 to 27. It didn't help that Michael Vick had one of his best passing days of his career.

We're losing due to injuries, specifically to the offensive line. Our new line is just too inexperienced and Carson is being rushed or sacked on far too many plays. QB protection aside, Carson is still not 100% after that devastating knee injury last year. I think his mobility is fine but his mechanics are off a little. He's had some good games, but overall, he has missed some key passes. Injuries to our defense aren't helping either. Also, our best defensive player, Odel Thurman, has been suspended for the rest of the year due to his off the field issues. Another reaon we're losing is that it seems opposing defenses have found a way to cover "Ocho Cinco". Either that or Carson's just not hitting him when he's open. Thank God for Chris Henry. That pot-head has helped us win some games  .

So, I'm not sure where we're going from here. We have the toughest schedule this year and it's not getting much easier. With the exception of two teams, we could lose to any of our remaining opponents. I don't see that happening. We're getting healthy and Carson and the offense are starting to click. I see us going 10 and 6. Marvin is too great of a coach to let us collapse.

By the way, thank you Indy for stickying this and making more about NFL talk. I've been looking for a place to vent my frustations/celebrate :) .
