I like the text, but that's not blending the pic. That's just colorizing it.

Yeah, I just duplicated the pic's layer and placed it under the color balance.. Then desaturated the original layer (the one above the color balance), duplicated it and set the duplicated layer to Overlay.

I think you should make the background really darker, and the logo doesnt look too good, the effect on the players are pretty good though.
