No, soccer is about knowing the phisicals, tatics, techinics and skills trainings.

When you domain a ball, when you shoot it, when you pass it... I mean all the basics fundamentals are more then just a cold annalisys. So, athletes aren't overrated, Messi, CR, Iniesta, Neymar, Robben, etc... Got all fundamentals and mind skills to be what they are.

Valencia (of United) can reach 35.1 Km/h on a Sprint running.
Bolt runs at the very limit of human being for just 30 meters 43.9 Km/h almost 44 Km/h.

If a normal soccer player, whom runs for more then 90 minutes can Sprint like this, you just can't say he's overrated at all. He also jumps, guard opponents, participate on the plays and also gotta maintaing his position in a big field throughout the game itself at the very highest level to be at least at the 11 players starters of a great team like Manchester United, an european giant.

Being a great professional soccer player is even more complete that i just said above, you got have the body control, balance, speed, skill and ball control, also with a great sense of creattivity to think faster then your opponent.

Soccer is the greatest sport created and the most loved and played around the globe, cause it's like life itself, with its ups and downs. A place where the weaker can beat the stronger and where all can happen suddenly from one moment to other.

The overrated Pelé: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=953rOfQ8Y0w
Or you never see a soccer game, or simply don't understand it. Hahahahah :D

Now the overrated Maradona: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ipl1mInKbY
Hahahahah, plz stop it, i wanna leave the bus! Stop it! Hahahahahah

It will be very difficult for Athletico to win without Costa. But it's not as improbable as ManU making it to the semis.

I forgot about Costa. I read that his injury isn't as bad as they first thought, but he might still miss the 2nd leg against Barca.

Rooney could miss the 2nd Bayern game with a toe injury as well. Tough time for champions league strikers at the moment.

9 wins in a row, 5 games remaining. Stress levels rising.

What's up with penalties and Liverpool, Phil?

CL matches tonight will be interesting.

I saw the MU and Newcastle match the other day. Mata played wonderful, that free-kick and assist was beautiful. Reminded me of Ian Hart of Leeds back in the days. If Mata is so great, I don't know why MU suck so hard. And things seem to be going downhill for Bayern, so it will be very interesting.

And sad news for PSG, Ibra might miss the 1st leg of semis.

Because football like all team sports requires contribution from all players in the team.

Aye, that's groundbreaking knowledge.

I meant along with RVP and Rooney, what more could a team use in the offensive side if Mata was having such a great run?

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Tue Apr 08, 2014 9:49 pm

Wow 3 out of 11 players on the pitch are enough for both offense and defense and to win matches now?

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Tue Apr 08, 2014 10:21 pm

For realz?

Show me a team which wins because 11 of their players play SO FUCKING AWESOME. All A+.

Usually, a player on high caliber is enough to pull a team to victory. Of course, that particular player needs help from his teammates, but just look at Liverpool for example. That team rode on Suarez to this far, did they need "contribution from all players" in the team for this position?

No matter how hard the MU defense sucked, they wouldn't have been in this position if Mata, RVP & Rooney-- all were hot at the same time. Which didn't happen, hence this state.

PSG doesn't need much except Ibra, Cavani, Lavezzi & Pastore or does RMad need much more than BBC? At early stages, your Arsenal was ROCKING because of only Ozil and Ramsey.

But I have a feeling that you are gonna go all literal on the word "contribution", something I didn't mean in my initial post. I meant "key role".

You answered your inquiry yourself in your post and yet you're still clueless.

I'll just stay away from your rabbit hole...

That's fine his team didn't make it to the semis. I know a 2-0 result is very attainable for a team like Chelsea especially it is in Stamford Bridge.

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Wed Apr 09, 2014 12:42 pm

Wow. Both the results last night were shockers.

Chelsea making it to Semis just makes it less interesting. And that 2-0 doesn't help the Madrid morale with their league race in such high stakes.

Who's betting on MU tonight to kick Bayern out and crush their dreams for the historical back to back CL trophies?

A team with 3 dysfunctional strikers is exciting to watch especially if they are playing together and one of them acts like a defender. Interesting that Cavani and Lavezzi tasted a Chelsea comeback twice in the Champions League.

To be fair, it hasn't just been Suarez.

In the first game Mignolet saved a late penalty that got us a win and gave everyone confidence for the season. Sturridge scored several key goals in the first 5 games of the season when Suarez was suspended and has 20 league goals himself for the season. And Gerrard is a god at taking penalties. Suarez has been immense, but we certainly aren't a one man team.

I'm actually kind of happy that Chelsea got to the semis. It means that their league game at Anfield is now between the two legs of the champions league semi finals. Surely that helps Liverpool a tiny bit. Plus Hazard is injured and could possibly miss the game as well.

Really have to focus on the Man City game this week though before any of that matters.

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Wed Apr 09, 2014 7:13 pm

I know man. I was just trying to make the point that Livpool wouldn't have come this far if Suarez wasn't that hot. And when a player is hot, the team usually does well.

That ManC matchup next week will be the EPL decider.

Ok, that's true. Hopefully he can score against City and pass the 30 goal mark for the season.

Atletico reach the CL semis without Diego Costa. I hope they win it now. (Y)

Matchups:

Real Madrid x Bayern Munchen
Atletico Madrid x Chelsea

I bet on Real or Bayern, Atletico runns outside, Chelsea will use all they can handle on Stanford Bridge to make to the Final again and then... Who knows???

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Sat Apr 12, 2014 2:22 am

Atletico won't play their main GK Courtouis...so they are pretty much done for.

Well UEFA said that Chelsea cannot stop Courtois from playing because of the clause in his contract. I want him to also play so the two teams can really use the best they have to have a good matchup. If he plays though I believe that Chelsea will never loan him to Atletico again.

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Sat Apr 12, 2014 7:49 am

Courtouis is out? Hum bad news doll... Chelsea luck, although it's important to know where the 2nd leg are going to be play. If it's in Madrid at Vicent Calderon, Atletico maybe got a chance to pressure Chelsea, most important thing at that match, avoid goals at home.

Real and Bayern, details will be defyning the finalist. Everything can happen, best two teams in the World right now.

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Sat Apr 12, 2014 7:58 am

Ronaldo's hurting, Bayern will advance to the finals.

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Sat Apr 12, 2014 8:13 am

If Real plays without Cristiano, they are in a deep hole! See what happen in Dortmund... Borussia lost many goals and should won by more then just two.

Sacrifice him would also be no good, cause Bayern midfielders will knock him out of the ball. Ronaldo got to be at his best shape to produce his best soccer.

If confirmed, that info change semis gears and Bayern got a hand at the big ears trophy, imo.

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Sat Apr 12, 2014 2:43 pm

If only they had spent 100m on a goal scoring winger so that they didn't have to worry when Ronaldo is out.

I think it will be a Bayern-Atletico final. Wouldn't mind seeing a Madrid derby though.
