Just a heads up, you can use the Spoiler tags now if you want to talk about something without potentially spoiling it for other people.

If they went back and borrowed an idea from 2000 when they had a few people claiming to be the most worthy number one contender and ended up with the fatal four way at Wrestlemania 2000 between HHH, The Rock, Big Show and Mick Foley. They could do a similar scenario now with HHH, Cena, Hardy and Orton. With Cena in the picture it's still a case of same old, same old, but it might make things interesting particularly if they build up each person to have an equal shot of walking out with the belt (and in particular, if they don't have Cena the one to do it).

Oops, let's just say that you didn't read my post
Hopefully they'll do something like that on 'Mania XXIV, to give viewers something new in the main event (well not that new for that matter).
EDIT: This past Raw had Cena chose to face Orton for the title at No Way Out. Then the winner of that match will face the winner of the Elimination Chamber. So my bet Triple H is still in the picture.

Shame on me....

You know after I posted this, I read the new features of this forum then there is the spolier tags.... Sorry...

I really hope Triple H won the ECM and then won the WWE title on wrestlemania.

I dunno about you guys but i dont wanna see some puny punk rock emo or whatever the fuck he is - kid like Jeff Hardy be WWE champ. It's like he's telling us "hey look at me..look at the crazy suicide attempting stunts I can do...like me please!" I like the champs being muscled and chiseled looking guys.
Wed Jan 30, 2008 12:03 pm
Whatever floats your boat

lol... I'd have Morrison as champ, most underrated wrestler in the entire federation.

No need to apologise, just thought I'd point it out since it's more convenient than the old method of posting in small text.
I just read that there's going to be two Elimination Chamber matches at No Way Out, one to determine the number one contender on RAW and one to determine the challenger on Smackdown. I guess that makes things a bit more interesting with Cena's shot not necessarily coming at Wrestlemania (even if he loses at No Way Out, they could make it a triple threat and I wouldn't rule it out) and two huge gimmick matches on the one card but it might be a case of overbooking, especially given both matches will be the same gimmick with basically the same stipulation (only related to a different major title in the company). That's got to be a first though, two big matches with the same unique gimmick on the one show.

Just read about it. Probably they'll only have few matches for No Way Out.
Also, I read in some site that WWE spoiled the match of Hardy and Orton on Royal Rumble because on the WWE magazine( I don't know what issue was it) that they showed a pic of Jeff with chain in his body and cage around which shows that Jeff will be included on ECM.

They did the same thing with Jericho's return. It's funny because one of their veteran writers were supposedly fired recently for leaking information, yet the WWE spoils results and surprises with their own official website and publications.

Time to use the spoiler tags.
I just read that the current plans for Wrestlemania main event is Triple H vs John Cena for the WWE Title which means John will take the belt on Orton and HHH will win the ECM. Also there is a possibility of a triple threat match between Orton ,HHH, and Cena. Underatker vs Edge is also likely take part which means Undertaker will win ECM and Edge will retain on No Way Out.
But card is subject to change but these are the current plans for Wrestlemania.

You're not that updated on wrestling, aren't you? Batista returned in mid-2006 and won the WHC from Booker T. On Wrestlemania, he was defeated by Undertaker and after 6 months, he won it again but after 3 months, he lose it to Edge. Now, he will be included on the Elimination Chamber Match and whoever wins it will have a title shot on Wrestlemania. I hope this will help you.
Edit: It's not WWF anymore, it's WWE.

Well my favorite wrestler today is Undertaker and in ECW, I started to like Kofi Kingston because of his style.
Fri Feb 01, 2008 8:56 am
I read those spoilers at Rajah's as well.
I'm hoping for another victory for the Undertaker at Wrestlemania so he can have the long reign he was supposedly meant to have last year before his injury. He deserves to have one before he calls it a day.
Agree with Andrew there about Taker having at least one title before he retires, even if he doesn't have, i want him to be in the Hall of Fame of WWE and i am gonna be happy with it.
Sat Feb 02, 2008 9:53 am
He will be in the Hall of Fame once he retires. Triple H and Shawn Michaels too would make it there once they retire (and I hope those three would stay longer).
Having two Elimination Chamber matches on No Way Out sounds unique, but the matter of execution must be different from the Raw match and the SmackDown match.
EDIT: The SmackDown Elimination Chamber matched has been announced at WWE.com with 'Taker, Batista, MVP, Finlay, Khali, and Viscera.
Sat Feb 02, 2008 5:34 pm
It'll be interesting when Taker goes into the HOF, since I assume he won't be in character. As far as inductees go this year, I'd like to see Owen Hart get the nod. It'll probably have to be Bret Hart inducting him though, since even with their ups and downs he's probably on better terms than Owen's widow. They could also get Jim Neidhart to do it seeing as though he made an appearance on RAW's 15th anniversary show, he was Owen's brother-in-law and was involved in the classic Owen/Bret feud of the mid 90s.

Alright, seen the Royal Rumble match and here's the breakdown of what happened.
Some might not have seen it so:
Michael Buffer did the ring announcing job. But before that, SmackDown's Justin Robert's introduced Buffer to the audience. Roddy Piper and Superfly were in the Rumble Match, they entered in the mid 20 numbers. Undertaker was #1, HBK was #2, Triple H was #29, and our favorite Cena goes last at #30. When HHH entered the crowd went wild, same when Cena entered. The two had a standoff like that during Wrestlemania 22. And like WM22, Cena was booed when he attacked HHH, and the crowd was behind The Game. The last three were Batista, Cena and HHH, each gave taunts: Batista's thumbs-up-thumbs-down, Cena's U Can't C Me, while Triple H gave both Cena and Batista one crotch-chop each. The crowd went nuts. HHH eliminated Batista after the latter gave both Cena and H one spinebuster each. Then Cena somehow FU'd HHH out of the ring, with JR saying "THE SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH OF CENA!!!"
As for Hornswoggle, he hid under the ring for most of the match but got caught by Big Daddy V (or Henry, I don't remember). Finlay barged his way in and hit V and Henry with his shillelagh, disqualifying him. He entered the match even though the 90-second mark wasn't over yet. He saved Hornswoggle and left the match.
Agree. Just when starting to watch RAW is interesting again, it blows..again.
Chris Jericho's return blows. HHH's face push and Hardy's push gets wasted because some guy who can't be Ceen gets Ceen too early.
Here's hoping the story leading up to the Elimination Chamber is interesting.

I also wonder about Shelton Benjamin. What the hell is WWE doing with its talent pool.

shadowgrin wrote:I also wonder about Shelton Benjamin. What the hell is WWE doing with its talent pool.
Yeah, Shelton use to be a good wrestler and IC champ but WWE just wasted his talent. Now that he's on ECW, I hope that he got the push that he deserved.
Mon Feb 04, 2008 9:50 am
Benjamin's a great talent but he's not very strong when it comes to promos. If you can't cut a good promo you better have the physique to be pushed as a monster with a manager for a mouthpiece, otherwise you're not going anywhere. It's fine for people to appreciate Benjamin's talent but he's got to give the crowd a reason to care.
As far as Cena's concerned, it's about time for him to drop the corny stuff from his gimmick and either go back to the "Doctor of Thuganomics" schtick that was at least getting a decent face pop or turn him heel a la Rocky Maivia becoming The Rock in 1997, which would make sense...
...given that rumour has it he's winning the title from Orton at No Way Out and facing HHH at Wrestlemania 24, given that HHH is currently way over as a face
Mon Feb 04, 2008 3:09 pm
Well if the WWE Belt would remain that way, seems like Cena will get it back. Hopefully not.

Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir on UFC 81.
Mon Feb 04, 2008 3:51 pm
Lesnar looked a bit out of shape.
Mon Feb 04, 2008 4:39 pm
I just read what happened in this UFC match on Yahoo and Brock submittted at 1:30 min. The ending reminds me of the Angle/Lesnar feud.
Also, now Fuck off!
