Seriously? I couldn't be less enthused. I've never bought him as a main eventer or his heel character anything but annoying...and not in a good way such as "I want to see this heel character get beaten up", more like "I don't want to see this character, ever". I suppose it means Tazz is paired up with Michael Cole again which I prefer to the Cole/JBL pairing but the last thing the WWE needs to do is have JBL mixing it up in the main event.
Your right, Tazz will be moved again to Smackdown.
I just read in wrestlezone that JBL and Vince are closed friends so this is the reason why JBL got back to the main event feud.

Anyone know Kofi Kingston? I think this new guy is interesting and I want to see what he can do in the ring. He'll be wrestling on ECW.

Personally I like listening to the Cole/JBL commentary tandem. So does this mean that Tazz will be the color commentator on both SmackDown and ECW?

Edit: Tazz will stay on ECW and Jonathan Coachman will take the place for JBL on the Smackdown Annoucing Team. I wonder if this new team will work out.

Coachman's definitely better as the heel colour commentator. The experiment with him being the voice of RAW as the heel play-by-play guy a couple of years ago was...interesting, I guess, but the face play-by-play and heel colour guy is a tried and true formula and there was no way he was ready to replace JR either. I guess we'll see how it goes.
I read that about JBL as well. I'm interested to see how he'll fare in the main event scene of the A show. After all, the same criticisms that are lobbed at Cena - limited moveset, repetitive promos, a title reign that went on too long - are criticisms that could be made of JBL as well. Then again, JBL has the advantage of being a heel so if he's booed and everyone hates him, it works in his favour.

I guess this is the first time that Coach will be paired with Cole.
Anyway, what do you think of Triple H's chances of being in the WWE Title picture at Wrestlemania? The storyline could be shifted to his side after the Rumble since he is kayfabe removed by Regal in the Rumble Match after putting him in DQ. Probably this year's Rumble winner will be from SmackDown again and Raw will hold another No.1 Contender's match on the way to Wrestlemania.

I read that the Elimination Chamber will make a return before Wrestlemania to determine a number one contender for the title on whichever show does not boast the Rumble winner. Traditionally that's been a RAW gimmick match and with the brand extension they haven't always had the title match with the Rumble winner featured as the main event, which I assume will be the RAW main event once again seeing as though it's the A show. So maybe that does mean someone on Smackdown will win the Rumble again.
Having said that, I would have picked HHH to win the Rumble this year. We probably haven't seen the last of that storyline, I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow wins back a spot in the Rumble and then goes on to win it, since an HHH/Orton feud has been rumoured for a while and makes sense given what happened last year when Cena forfeited the title.
The Smackdown title situation is interesting as well, as I think they might be building up to giving Taker another title run so that he can have the lengthy reign that he supposedly meant to have last year. Maybe that means another title victory at Wrestlemania. I have mixed feelings about the current angle with Edge and Vickie Guerrero. I'm not offended by it because if she's comfortable with it then the rest of us shouldn't really complain, but they're already doing the heel general manager schtick over on RAW. Having Teddy Long as a face GM balanced things out.

A probable main event for No Way Out, since they took NYR out (why did they do that, anyway?). I hope 'Taker and Triple H would have another title run, beginning at Wrestlemania.

Perhaps they figure they've got enough Pay Per Views to book now as it is, especially since the buyrates for some of the recent shows have been down.

Cool, WWE needs to have Show's chop/slap back. And I also thought RVD is still signed with the WWE, apparently not.

RVD was released in mid-2007. But WWE is interested to have him back after the 15th anniversary of Raw.
Edit: The Raw ending this Monday night was sick!
Here's the vid:

It's been a long time that I've seen Jeff to jump from a high place.

Great stunt, but hopefully he won't end up like what happened to Owen Hart.
And Triple H may eventually win back a spot at the Rumble next week.
Wed Jan 16, 2008 11:55 am
Probably Triple H will be included to RR.
Also, I heard that the reason why Triple H destroyed the titantron is because next week, all three brands will change their titantron. Maybe Triple H did that as a goodbye to the titantron.
Wed Jan 16, 2008 2:30 pm
- The reason why Triple H destroyed the titantron on last night’s edition of RAW is because this week was the final week for that particular RAW set. As we reported several days ago and WWE confirmed today, all three brands will be debuting new sets in preparation for their new High Definition programming next week.

Given there's one more RAW before the Rumble, I can't see HHH losing that match. My guess is that he'll win the Rumble to face Orton and Edge will somehow end up facing Undertaker with the world title on the line.

I've picked up a couple of the recent DVD releases including the HBK and Stone Cold sets. I like the current approach of mixing a kayfabe recap of their careers (along with some entire matches) along with the inside story. I suppose we're not going to get the whole truth because some matters are going to be glossed over and told from a WWE-friendly perspective but mixing the behind-the-scenes stuff with the on-screen story makes for a better production than the old videos that were completely in character. That's not to say the old approach was bad, just that the new one is more interesting.
I've been watching the current product a bit though it's hard with my current timetable at work. I'm still thinking of ordering the Rumble though, I've done that each of the past three years along with Wrestlemania.

He also did a Batista Bomb on mini-Kane, classic.

That Rumble was pretty darn entertaining, though I think that mini-Mankind is a kid and not a midget. When Khali's music played I expected the real one to come out, usual WWE stuff I guess. But this "Tough Love" angle for Hornswoggle may lead to a Finlay-McMahon feud.
Mon Jan 21, 2008 9:25 am
I wonder if they'd backtrack to the (supposed) original idea of revealing Kennedy to be McMahon's son, somehow revealing that he is indeed his son and Hornswoggle is not. It'd be pretty sloppy though and even though the Hornswoggle stuff is far from the best angle they've done, it's probably better that any push Kennedy receives comes from somewhere else. If they were to reveal him as McMahon's on-screen illegitimate son, it's something they'd always have to acknowledge unless they went for a cop-out and later revealed it to be a hoax on Kennedy's part to gain McMahon's favour (and subsequently title shots and the like). I suppose such a scenario wouldn't be too much of a stretch in the world of professional wrestling though.

I was busy laughing to have noticed that. I'll watch it again.
How about Chris Jerciho, his return sure blows. After his PPV match it's back to the midcard for him.

The mini Rumble match just made my day!
I read in wrestlezone that Big Show already signed a contract and probably will join the WWE roster at the end of the month. He's not included on RR, and it was said that when he return, he may have a feud with Triple H.
