For me the only titles at launch that matter are: Fifa, NBA, and Madden. Most other triple A titles will be out on PC. And the random exclusives in general for both consoles haven't really been a must buy lately (Titanfall seems like a must buy but that's going to be out on PC).

Yea, basically I'm going to be using the PS4 to play next gen sports games.

PM sent.

I think timing is somewhat great. I was thinking of getting PSN because I heard you might get extra stuff for GTA V if you're a PSN+.

BF4 to run at 720p on next gen. I truly hope the next gen sports games will make it worth getting a next gen console. But honestly I have been having 2nd thoughts on my PS4 pre order. Consoles just suck.

Never been to this sight before. A lot of pc fanboys sniffing their own farts around here. "My MEGA MACHINE. HIGHER RESOLUTION. HIGHER FRAMERATE!!!" And I should give a fuck.... why? I have zero fucks to give about that when i can grab my controller, sit on my couch, press a button, and it just fucking plays. And i never have to worry about a game not working right because it wasn't optimized for my system. Oh and it's only gonna cost me 400 bucks and i don't have to worry about researching parts or upgrading. Fucking sold.

Ehh, NovU, that quote can be picked apart every which way, don't think we need a PC vs console discussion here.

But basically in regards to the whole BF4 at 720p. I get that consoles will always be weaker if comparing them to PCs. But let's just compare them to where we are technologically. It's 2013 and a next gen system will be running a game in 720p (Didn't they say they want these consoles to have a 10 year life span?). I'm not trying rain on the next gen parade or be a PC fanboy, cause I did preorder a PS4 and was a console gamer my whole life. But it is kinda disappointing. In a time where the latest models of gadgets have the latest tech, next gen consoles are equivalent to mid range at best hardware.

But yeah, thought the news on BF4 was important, especially for the future of the consoles.

Yup it's kinda disappointing but it shouldn't be because of 720p imo, lol. If then blame the devs not consoles.

While I completely understand and respect the merits of a console (easier online, no setup, troubleshooting), I really would have thought they'd at least be able to play effortless 1080p.

Not to sound like a PC elitist, but my mid-range rig that I built 2+ years ago will probably still out perform these next gen consoles. And I'm not talking some $2000 behemoth either.

I understand not everyone wants to pay more than $400 dollars for a past time like gaming, but if you're in the market for a new PC anyway, why not do a little research, spend an extra $200 and get a good gaming PC out of it. If you're smart about it the pricing is very much in favor of PC vs. consoles. Plus you can upgrade it at anytime when the funds are available, mods are amazing for games like Skryim and Fallout, you'll save even more money on games, and much more.

That said I hope it's just the fact that the consoles are so new, and games haven't been able to optimize fully yet. While resolution isn't king in terms of visuals, I'd expect in this age of retina-4k-3D-Stereococaine monitors that the mainstream gaming would at least try to keep up.

I'm still on the fence about picking up a next gen console.

It's just a moot point to argue which one's better because technical aspect isn't everything. It all depends on needs and wants.

I've gone from a huge PC gamer to more of a console guy in recent years. My desktop is still very capable and I enjoy games on both, but there're couple reasons I prefer to play on console these days. Simlicity, big 120' screen over 27' monitor, controller over mouse/keyboard, couch over desk, multiplayer with house guest. And not to mention some great console exclusives. I will probably go back to being a huge PC gamer when I get a new comp though.

720p should be a minor issue(can anyone really tell dif between 1080p anyway? Maybe on a big big ass tv... even then PC minitors aren't that big either). Give console game devs time to properly adjust. I mean next gen isn't even out yet. And NO, I am not a console elitist. I just find this entire PC is definite better argument silly.

All of which can be done on a PC.

Q: Will the PS4 be able to play your music off the hard drive while you are playing a game like the 360??

controller will never EVER EVER EVER be better than mouse/keyboard.

Re: PS4 Thread - NA Launch November 15th, World 29th

I could agree especially for RTS and FPS. But rest debatable. Hated playing NBA 2K10/11 on a keyboard.

Not the PC's fault if you can't buy a controller.

Also, scripting for keybinds. I've read/seen people do it.
Press one keyboard button BAM 360 dunk.
Press one keyboard button BAM spin move.

Ofc PC offers more flexibility as u can invest time and money infinitely

As I said debate comes really down to personal needs and wants. All this silly pc vs con talk again for somethin lil as EA goin 760p on one game. And ppl have to prove how pc is superior and consoles suck. Thx but no thx.
