Dear LiveJournal,

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Anything. No abnormal regulations for food, except you probably don't want to bring like a big meal because you'll feel like taking a shit later and the breaks aren't long enough for that.
Qballer wrote:and z02, your FOURTH try?? you must love giving your money away. i took it a second time "just to be sure" i did the best i could, and only got 10 points more than the 1st time
I should've probably stuck with three. Got my highest reading score the first time I took it, got my highest in math the second time and my best writing score was in try #3. 4th one was kind of useless. Besides my parents paid for the tests. :shifty:

Yeah, I'm bringing two bags of chips, then. If they tell me otherwise, I'm still gonna eat 'em, right in front of their face. Don't think it'll come to that though. :)

You'll be OK with that.

Ultimately, it comes down to the person proctoring your test. You could get a teacher who bitches about eating in a classroom and tells you to eat in the hall during breaks, or someone who couldn't care less if you ate during the test as long you don't make a shitload of noise or a big mess or something. Usually snacks are only during breaks though. Anyway, good luck.

Well for the crickets that are interested, took that SAT today. Don't think I did well on the reading passages, but other than that, it wasn't bad for my first time. The 3 hours, 45 minutes went by a lot faster than I thought they would. :)

Dear Livejournal,

Today I found out I have 6 weeks left at my current place of employment. After almost 4 years at the same place, I'm being moved on and I have rather mixed feelings about this. In one sense I hope I find another job soon but I'd also like to have a little time off before I begin a new one. After getting all my hair clipped off a couple of weeks ago, this is the second massive change for me within 2 months.

Oh, and I'm still pissed that I can't get onto the PSN and Clark Kellog is pissing me off with his condescending comments towards My Player.

I know what you mean. I was made redundant a few years back but had actually been thinking about moving on as I'd grown a bit fed up with the job. After finishing up at that job, I took a week off before I even started looking at vacancies elsewhere (though I had been looking somewhat casually leading up to leaving). It's a good opportunity to get over any lingering burnout from the old job.

Feel for ya badreligion, shame to see it happen.

Dear LiveJournal,

Being a 9th place soccer team with 2 games to go and the top 8 advancing isn't going to be fun. Right now, we're depending on a win against a top 5 team and the 7 or 8 seed to draw/lose. Then if we win against the last place team, we're in. Awesome...

Dear LiveJournal,

I will have my first test from my class "Soccer" in three weeks.

Players and formations from 30 iconic argentinian soccer clubs, from 1920 to 2008.

Pretty, pretty, pretty good day today.

In Austria, after your final year of school you have a certain amount of written and spoken exams to graduate and basically finish off your school career. Had my German, English and math exams on Monday, Tuesday and today respectively, which I think I have all passed.

Now, in one month I have oral exams in 4 subjects and after that I'm freed of motherfucking school for the rest of my life.

Plus the Heat put down the Celtics. So yeah, pretty good day.

Heading up to the vineyards on Saturday with a group of friends for the Lovedale Long Lunch. Basically just a day to hang out and drink, good food too.

Also changed my phone's alarm tone to this:

We survived the top 5 team, with a 1-0 win on a PK and an amazing save by our goalie. It was going in the top left corner, but he flew up and knocked it out. Now all we gotta do is win next week and we're in

Some idiot used my email address to set up a PayPal account. And the validation email didn't include a link to click if the email address was wrong. No idea what happens now.

EDIT: Just received a payment receipt from PayPal. Surely he'd need to validate his email address (and thus have access to my account) in order to do that?

that's very true. i think they're hoping you go to the "paypal site" to validate/investigate and you put in your password

a long time ago i got a phishing email using what appeared to be an email from paypal, but hovering over the link in the email showed that it didn't lead to paypal's website, so i knew it was a fake email

Hotmail marks it legit. It's from service@paypal.com.au, which is the same address I got emails from when I signed up for a PayPal account myself on that email address a month or so back (I deleted it a couple of weeks ago as it was a one-use thing, thus the address being available for this other guy to mistype).

I contacted PayPal through their 'contact us' webform, and got an email back that started out 'Dear [name of guy in Queensland who used my email address]'. It completely ignored the fact that I'd got a receipt, instead telling me that if my address was used in error I'd never get another email from them (despite the fact that I already had) and suggested that I change my email address. As though that's the best possible solution, instead of fucking with this other guy who can't type properly.
