How is that relevant? It's the World Cup, not the Highest Ranked Cup. North Korea earned the right to be there. Turkey did not.

North Korea narrowly losing to Brazil. NZ holding reigning World Champions Italy to a draw. Switzerland beating Spain. South Africa beating France.
Results like those are what makes the World Cup special. If the favourite always won then no one would watch it.

Australia played better than South Korea in our last 2 games. We were unlucky not to win against Ghana. And we deserved to beat Serbia.
The game against Germany killed off any real chance we had of progressing though with all those goals conceded. Plus some terrible refereeing decisions.

I bet any of the Asian teams could beat Honduras. Why not take away the 3rd CONCACAF qualifying place?
Besides Asia has 60% of the world's population. 4 billion people is a lot of potential viewing audience. Less chance they'll watch if their team isn't there.

ENG vs GER is obviously the big one so far. ARG vs MEX is a re-match of the 2006 game at the same stage. Very interesting.
Ghana the only African nation to make it through. I'd expect them to get support from the South African fans now that their team is out.

Sad to see New Zealand's World Cup come to an end, but when all is said & done, they might be the only team in the tournament not to lose a game (if either Spain or Germany win ).

Great to see Italy get knocked out. They took a dive against us Kiwis, which ended up costing us a place in the Second Round. Karma has a way of coming back. You dove against Aussies 4 years ago & got lucky to win World Cup then you dove again to 'salvage' a draw against New Zealand. I can handle Slovakia making it, they deserved it.
