I was matching that match too. I knew it was broken the second I saw the tackle close up, his was was just dangling. Thank God I never had anything broken before.

I misjudged the time and woke up too early, another two hours more. :x

Fri Jun 09, 2006 10:43 pm

I'd sleep for 2 hours and wake up, but I'm tired as hell so I'm just going to stay up all night. Sleep through the day.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!!

5 Mins into the first match and the first goal has been scored. But it was a nice strike, right into the opposite top corner.

Edit: 2-1 in 17 minutes, fast tempo stuff, excellent.

I'll have to watch this match later. Gotta go back to work really soon. 2-1 at halftime to the Germans. I am rooting for Costa Rica.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 3:29 am

3-1 now. All I have to do now is wait for this to end and get points for predicting the result :P

EDIT: There goes my prediction. 3-2 now.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 4:04 am

there was some beautiful goals 8-) Lahm and Frings (Y)

Sat Jun 10, 2006 4:30 am

Yeah Germany won :hbang:.Amazing goal,by Lahm  right into the top corner.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 4:51 am

Very nice game; great for a tournament opener. Costa Rica played better than I expected and got Germany real anxious after the 2-3 goal. But, Germany played a good game as well, though not great in any way. But what a great goal by Lahm, the ball just seemed to float in mid-air before it went straight into the top corner. The young Schweinsteiger was awesome also, he'll be a potential candidate for the 'Best Young Player' in the tournament for sure. (y) Their defence though, which is the area that they have had large problems with recently, was doing a really poor job, and they really need to improve that part if they are to have any chance against the top teams.

Drex: I thought the same thing.. Oh well, we still get 0.5 pts for their win.. (y)

Germany can lick my chocolate salty balls. Oh well. I also get 0.5 points.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 5:34 am

God dang it, Poland is pressuring but they can't get the ball into the penalty box. :(

1-0 Ecuador at 35th min right now.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 6:08 am

Poland is suckier than I thought.

yes they r. Damn...and i predicted they'll be runner up in group A :(

Sat Jun 10, 2006 6:42 am

Well Poland is loosing the game 2-0.And the game is almost finished.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 6:56 am

Ecuador deserved the victory. Poland is just a sucky team

Sat Jun 10, 2006 7:03 am

Good win for Ecuador (y) I only started watching the game, but I didn't think it was good, so I just tuned in and out.. Too bad for Poland though, now they'll have a real hard time moving on to the next round (which they should be in, they're not nearly as bad as they played)..

Sat Jun 10, 2006 7:18 am

Italy and Argentina have good chances to win it. But as always (FUCK YOU MR. BLATTER!) Argentina has the hardest round.
Anyways, if Totti and Inzaghi get fully healed then I think Italy passes the round as first, so goes against the second of group F (probably Croatia), against Croatia will be hard but I think we'll win (sorry Jugs) and then we go to the quarter finals.
For Argentina I think that if we qualify as first then we go against the second of group D (probably Mexico) and there we win and qualify for the quarter finals.
If we qualify as second then we go against Portugal, and I think we're pretty much fucked up, but we have chances to win it.
I don't want/have time to make predictions over the quarter finals but I think that it will go as I said.

Pray for him and may his god have mercy on his soul.

Obviously what I meant is he is no longer in NLSC rather than he has literally passed away. Sorry if I misled you.

I think the goofy smiley is there because he was aware of that.

Anyways, Ecuador was surprising to say the least. I heard some mention of them beating both Brazil and Argentina during qualifying but I guess it is good they dont get the recognition. They can fly under the radar and surprise teams many expected to beat them

I watched the Germany/Costa Rica match but not the Poland/Ecuador, it was on at like 5am. The goal from Frings was amazing, it was like some Pro Evo shit. I thought Borowski looked really good, I'd try and keep him in the XI when Ballack comes back if possible. I also got the feeling that Bastian Bastian Schweinsteiger is going to just rip some team apart in this tournament. He created alot of good things for himself but the last pass/shot was always blocked or off course. Podolski wasn't great but he'll score at least one of those long range goals, and I wish I picked Klose for top scorer :(

Some good games on tonight, England vs Paraguay which I will watch... Sweden vs Trinidad and Tobago which I won't, and Argentina vs Ivory Coast which I will also watch.

Poland lost 2-0 to Ecuador. A surprise to me, but then again Ecuador are a strong side that dosen't get alot of attention drawn to them.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 1:24 pm

Ecuador is a good team and are a little underrated. They looked really good today against Poland.

Sat Jun 10, 2006 2:13 pm

Ecuador is really strong in their home field, but not too much outside of it. Poland is right next to Germany, so I thought that that would be an advantage...but it wasn't. Good win for Ecuador (Y)
