you know what's funny is that I asked myself "Do they know Shane killed Lem?" during the first scene. I honestly forgot if they found out and attempted to watch the recap to see if it showed them finding out. could you refresh my memory on that? other than that, my only confusion was distinguishing between the Armenian factions.
i would agree it was a very good episode, kind of all over the place (as expected to reintroduce everyone) and glad to see Tina (Paula Garces) back
the Billings bit where he went in and interrogated that chick was hilarious, despite me not liking Billings too much. was it me or does the guy that Vic hired to watch his wife look like Hyatt from last season? and lastly, it looks like Ronnie will be getting a lot of face time this season after being in the background for most of the series.
Fri Sep 05, 2008 2:08 pm
Yeah, they know Shane killed Lem. In this episode, there was a part where Shane said he'd never harm Macky's family. Macky replied with "Lem was family". That's where that came from.
I've always found the Armenian bits a little hard to follow.
Yeah, I was happy to see Tina back, she's so hot.
Agreed about Billings.
Agreed about Hyatt.
Agreed about Ronnie.
Pretty much on the same page with you, dude.

I figured Ronnie would be prominant this season, although I thought he'd be the only one from the group to go further as "clean"...the first episode sort of squashed that theory.
Shane is trying very hard to be Vic's friend again, I really hope that doesn't happen, even if he takes a bullet for Cassidy or some shit like that. I don't want to see it happen. Damn man, I can never forget Lem's face when he realised what Shane did.
I wish Shane a horrible, horrible death at the hands of Vic...and if not Vic, hopefully he sets the plan in motion.
Ronnie will walk some how...he's the cleanest of them all. I expect Shane to die, Vic to either die or be behind bars for a long time and Ronnie to continue doing his job...with shades of Mackey (going off the first episode? He almost seemed to enjoy the aftermath despite being a bit shocked.)

hmm i still can't seem to remember specifically what scene from last season that Vic and Ronnie found out that Shane killed Lem. it's starting to bug me.
and who was that hooker? she was pretty hot haha
I can see Pezuela becoming the new Aceveda trying to control everything and everyone around him. I thought Vic was gonna go through with taking him down but i guess he's ditching Aceveda to further his career with the help of Pezuela.
Sat Sep 06, 2008 9:41 am
As Pezuela said, Aceveda is a eunuch.
By the way, the part when they find out about Shane is in season 6 episode 06 (Chasing Ghosts) from the 40 minute mark onwards. I tried capturing it for you to no avail.
It goes a bit like they torture Guardo and Shane doesn't come clean...slowly and steadily they find out it wasn't Guardo. So they start suspecting Shane. Vic asks Ronnie to tell Shane that they will meet up at Lem's scene of death to "look for clues", Shane shows up with Vic waiting.
Shane asks if they should wait for Ronnie, Vic says no, we can start.
Guardo didnt do it says Vic, the Salvatorians didn't even kill Amolia when they found out she snitched about them to the cops. Shane counters with "maybe some salvatorian rogue banger". Vic says so he grenades Lem and disappears in to the night like a ghost? I don't think so.
Wasn't one niners looking to avenge Antwon, I found that out the hard way (he went to Antwon and Antwon laughed at him saying he didnt do shit to Lem and was happy he was dead). So I asked Ronnie to check if you logged in all the grenades that night from the bust. You counted 73 at the scene...there are 73 in the evidence room right now. Which means...you pocketed a grenade before Aceveda lied to us about Lem ratting us out? You lied to us at the bust? About the count? Before I even started to question Lem, you were thinking of ways to get rid of him?
Shane goes on to say he took the blame on himself for the sake of the team blah blah sort of like Vic + Terry and it all ends with Vic telling Shane he'll kill him. Just get the episode, I got tired of typing.

it's cool dude, I remember now. thanks for the refresher.
Looks like the Salvadorians and the One-Niners who had a lot of face time before won't be much of a play this season with the Mexicans under Pezuela and the Armenians in the mix. Man I was hoping for another Anthony Anderson (Antwon) cameo.
Sat Sep 06, 2008 11:59 am
Imagine Shane becoming Antwon's bitch.
(Yes, I am still plotting on how Shane will suffer most.)
Sun Sep 21, 2008 9:09 pm
Episode 3 was amazing.
Mon Sep 22, 2008 4:41 am
yeah definitely liked the plot twists but the preview for episode 4 looks like it will top episode 3.
Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:12 am
I never get to see the previews because I watch the episodes online. I don't think I'd want to see them to be honest, it could ruin the next episode for me.
But man, that last scene with the three of them. Epic.

Season: 07
Episode: 06
One word: Wow.
Thu Oct 09, 2008 11:36 am
it's about freaking time! lol
dang, we're already up to episode 6?
assuming you've seen it,
I thought Shane was really gonna go down that episode and have Ronnie & Vic looking over their shoulders for the rest of the season. now i can see Vic & shane in a gun battle at the end of the season and they both die, but who knows maybe someone else from the past will come back and change the plot up like Tavon did.
Sat Oct 11, 2008 3:59 am
I really disliked Vic for changing his mind at the end there, but it shows consistancy. He's never been able to kill people he's had history with. See Gilroy.
I really hope it doesn't happen that Ronnie kills Shane, I want Vic to do it. Perhaps this was a good move, he thought twice about tricking to kill Shane...but now that Shane knows and will be gunning for Vic, perhaps he'll have more a of a clear view and mindset to kill him.
I'm going to miss this show.

Just finished catching a pre-aired episode 7.
One emoticon to describe this episode:
Details will follow when you guys have caught up.
Thu Oct 16, 2008 4:22 am
well i watched it last night and was obviously excited from last week's episode. I thought it was so-so- but given the events and the preview of next week, it did a pretty good job of setting up an explosive episode next week.
Wed Oct 22, 2008 1:18 pm
WOW. JUST WOW. Jackal respond when you have seen this week's episode.
i can't wait for next Tuesday.
Wed Oct 22, 2008 7:51 pm
Oh. My. God.
The best line I've heard in a couple of seasons: "It's kiss my ass time." to Claudette.
Jesus H. Christ, this shit is getting waaaaay better than I could've imagined it. Awesome. Too awesome.
Edit: Currently this is the best show on television. With The Sopranos and The Wire having ended, this is it hands down. Dexter is amusing, but no where near this sort of adrenaline season after season. Dex has a lot of filler stuff in it.
This is one show I'll be getting on DVD, the only others I've done that for is Sopranos and Six Feet Under.
Thu Oct 23, 2008 4:47 am
yeah, i still have yet to get the seasons on DVD, probably becuase they are a little pricey. but when the shows over, i will need my fix and will wait for the damn things to go on sale so i can buy em all
Wed Oct 29, 2008 8:07 pm
Less explosive episode compared to the last episode, but that was to be expected. What I didn't like was the fact such little time was spent on finding Shane/Mara.
I think the plot of Billings with his problem and Dutch pursuing the kid was too much of a filler.
Did I mention Julien is a bitch?
Fri Oct 31, 2008 7:58 am
yup agreed on all points. didnt catch it on TV this week so i didn't get the previews for next week but it should be good. looks like they're backing Vic into a corner he doesn't want to be in, which will mostlikely set it up for a crazy ending.
Fri Oct 31, 2008 8:05 am
I read somewhere that Shaw Ryan was blown away by Vic in the last two episodes. He screened it for some LA reporters and they were blown away too.
Says he hasn't seen so many facets of a character portrayed ever, which he saw Chiklis do in those last two episodes.
Build up, build up!!
Wed Nov 05, 2008 9:27 pm
I feel suffocated and drained.
Thu Nov 06, 2008 6:20 am
ditto.
Wed Nov 19, 2008 2:16 pm
second to last episode. it has one of the most defining moments of the series
you sonofabitch....
is there any more?
how much tape you got in that thing?
Wed Nov 19, 2008 7:50 pm
She was trying to be all smart by getting him to stop for the Beltran bust...yeah, fuck that.
This is how you end a series...Sopranos writers should take notes for any future work. Next weeks ep is an hour and a half, I can't wait.
Man oh man this is some good storytelling, I hiked my 8 out of 10 to a 9 out of 10 on IMDB.
Edit: Fuck Corinne.
