Same here. I'm 187cm and 95kgr. Used to be 185cm and 64 kgr at 17. Talk about lanky... Thank god for barbells

Sat Apr 23, 2005 4:03 am

My best friend's about 191cm and 61kg... he's like a stick insect. I get worried sometimes that the piercings he has will weigh him down too much and he wont be able to walk.

Sat Apr 23, 2005 4:07 am

191cm and 61kg

Undersized Manute Bol... not the healthiest of analogies... try to talk him into eating more or at least stay indoors when it's gusty

Sat Apr 23, 2005 4:10 am

 the guy's a pig. I remember one night we were up drinking and he got hungry, so he microwaved this gigantic pudding thing he found in the freezer. I didn't want any, so he ate the entire thing on his own... he can hold more food than most people, but never actually put on any weight. It's something alot of people would want, but not when you're 61kg.

Sat Apr 23, 2005 4:12 am

Well then the only plausible solution would be working out. He'll never get bulky, but at least he'll be more presentable to look at...

Sat Apr 23, 2005 4:14 am

He's got to snap out of this stupid nu-punk stage first. Tattoo's and piercings everywhere (N)

Sat Apr 23, 2005 5:49 am

Damn, i'm 6'1/186cm and about 165lbs/74kg and I think i'm skinny.
I wouldn't mind being 10kg heavier.

My team won the state championship this season and it was about a month ago when it happened. Just wanted to share that with everyone and we won regional and city championships. I wasn't able to play as much and contribute to the team due to my inexperience for being a sophmore. Hopefully next year, I'll become a starter and help lead the team to another title.

Weight: 160 lbs / 72 kg
Age: 16
Location: Netherlands

Preferred Position: PG/SG
Playing Position: PG

Most satisfying moment: making opponents cry.

Most shameful moment: injuring myself while trying to foul someone on a layup late in the game.

Most regretted moment: going right at a big guy the first possesion of the game, resulting in a hard "block" (refs didn't see the foul so many people thought it was a block).

Fri Apr 29, 2005 5:58 am

Name: Ivan
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 125lbs/56kg
Age: 13
Location: Denver,Colorado

Preferred Position: I mostly play as SG, sometimes SF
Playing Position: SG
Experience: 4 Years
Favourite NBA Player:Carmelo Anthony
Realistic NBA Comparison (And Why): Voshon Lenard, I like to shoot more from outside. I'm not very good at inside scoring.

Strengths: shooting 3's, mid range shot, free throws.
Weaknesses: not really good dribbler in the game, inside scoring.

Favourite move you can do: I can shoot 3's from NBA's 3 point line.

Favourite move you've done once: half court shot for a pop

Favourite place to shoot: left side of a three ponit line and left side of mid range

Biggest shot you've made: 3 pointer at the end of the game. the score was 25-25 and ball was ours. There was 10 seconds on the clock. Our PG got the ball and passed it to our PF who is the best player on our team. They started double teaming him and the guy that was covering me was doublteaming. He passed the ball to me and i nailed the 3 with 3 seconds left. The other team didnt score and we won 28-25.

Basketball Goals for the future: go to college and play for a basketball team

Re: NLSC Basketball Profiles

Sat Apr 30, 2005 4:53 am

Name: Geez I wonder...
Height: 6'5 or 6'6
Weight: 93kg
Age: 19
Location: Adelaide

Preferred Position: SF/PF
Playing Position: SF (until I get forced to play PF due to short people on team)
Experience: 8 or 9 years
Favourite NBA Player: Dirk Nowitzki, Oscar Robertson, Kevin Garnett
Realistic NBA Comparison (and why): Raef LaFrentz mixed with Danny Fortson. I'm a pretty good shooter and I prefer to stay outside despite usually being the tallest on the team, but I can also rebound and play really physical defense if I have to.

Strengths: Defensive strategy (i.e playing the passing lanes without making it obvious, knowing where to be) outside shooting, blocking shots (if i bother trying) running the court, passing (read weaknesses also)

Weaknesses: Shooting confidence. If I miss a couple of times I'm likely to stop shooting alltogether. Frustration with teammates, I get annoyed at things like being forced to play completely out of position because everyone else is useless and then being told off for not doing it well enough. Passing too, because sometimes I see the play too well and my teammates dont which can result in alot of passes thrown to no one.

Favourite move you can do: For some reason my body refuses to take open shots so I seem to wait until someone jumps at me like some sort of spider monkey before I shoot. Which is cool, because I hit the shot most the time. That, and outrunning people to block shots (Y)

Favourite move you've done once:
I was playing for a new team who hadn't seen me play, once again I was the tallest on the team but they wouldn't pass me the ball because I was standing outside the 3pt line. This went on for about 10 minutes before I managed to pick up a loose ball and hit a fadeaway 3 from about 2 meters outside the 3pt line on the buzzer. The first thing I heard was the team captain saying "Whoa, where have you been hiding?"

Favourite place to shoot: Three point line on an angle.

Biggest shot you've made: I hit a 3 once and got fouled, missed the free throw, grabbed the rebound and scored from in close while getting fouled again and making the freethrow for a 6 point play. I had 6 points in that game.

Best game you've played: I had to fill in once on a All-Girls under 14's team because they were missing 3 players against the Under 16's Mens team that was leading the comp and said I wasn't good enough for their team. This was a domestic competition and coaches put their Representative teams in to get ready for the big matches on the weekends. Anyways, 3 13 year old girls and me (14 years old) against a bunch of 16 year old rep players and I scored 38 points, we lost by 2.

Most satisfying moment: Winning every game in our Rep Under 16's season by 20 points + and the grand final by 25, also beating the worst team in the comp 178-11.

Most shameful moment: I shot 1-18 once, that was pretty bad. I was missing things from like 3 feet out.

Most regretted moment: Not getting the most out of playing with the Under 18's representative team when I was 12. That could've been a great learning experience but instead I spent most of my time hating the fact that training was so hard.

Most painful moment: Playing a high school game, the other team had a player who at 14 years old was playing under 19's for Australia. He scored 78 points in that game and despite the fact that I wasn't guarding him, one of his only misses came to my "physical defense"... i.e, his knee hitting me in the face when he went up for a layup :?

Basketball goals for the future: No idea, just to try and find a playing style I can stick with and a team that I like playing with.

I stole this from ONYX's list...

Single game ('career') highs: These are all estimates (apart from points, rebounds and blocks)

38 points (In that domestic game, 32 of those points were from offensive rebounds))
29 rebounds (In a rep game, that was a bit surreal really)
22 blocks ( when I was 17 against an under 13's girls team)
13 assists (In a rep game, I was guarded too heavily to shoot. I didn't score in that game)
8 steals (In my first game back after 2 years, I did nothing else decent in the game)

I think that's about it... I figured I should clarify those career highs considering they look fake. I have a bad habit of excelling in one area and not doing too great in all the others randomly.

Holy crap!I think thats impossible. Our team never scored more than 60!The only time we've been beaten really bad is 69-22!

Sat Apr 30, 2005 6:11 am

Actually on the old NLSC forums I think I posted a link to the score, they put it up on the NSW Basketball website. They scored 1 point in the entire 2nd half of the game and we had to use 2 score sheets lol.

Sat Apr 30, 2005 7:32 am

It's possible, me and my team once beat these retards 164-2. it was at home but still everyone was cheering when they scored that 1 basket.

Sat Apr 30, 2005 9:08 am

u mean retards, like idiots? or mentally retarded ppl?

Sat Apr 30, 2005 9:41 am

What do you think? Really...
We've held teams to 8 points. We played a team once that didn't score until they made one free-throw with 15 minutes left in the half. And we didn't break at all in the second half, and we put up 80-something.

My biggest win was 122-12 against these little kids

Sun May 01, 2005 4:56 am

Well we did beat mentally retatrded like 90-4. It was our home game, and some people that came to our game cheered when they scored thouse 2 baskets, and we scored they almost didn't cheer at all...although i don't count it as a win, it ws more of a practice!
