Damn, thats ridiculous. It was looking like shadowgrin was going to be papa jack v.2 (too soon?). Makes me glad to live in a place where the biggest "natural disaster" to occur in the past twenty years was an innocuous 6.8 earthquake.

Proof or ban?

Take Thailand as a quick example, we've seen more natural disasters in the past 5 years more than we've seen in the entire decade. Earthquakes, Tsunami, landslide, flood, etc. To add to the list, the season and weather here is totally messed up. There used to be a clear borderline of when is winter, rainy season and hot season. Now it rains all year long and winter had become the hot season instead. True, it's always hot here anyway but we can tell when winter has arrived. There's a significant different between winter and the rest of the season, but nowadays we cant tell the different any more. It's so obvious that global warming has played a big role in all of this. If global warming wasn't a part of it, then I dont know what is. :(

And that's just Thailand.

Well... at least Shadow's ok. You scared quite a few people here, for not being around for awhile.

Luckily, where I live, global warming doesn't seem to be that much of a factor. It snowed till March this year, and again, I'm feeling winter coming already. I don't really know how serious global warming has become an issue in other parts of the world, but hearing from you guys, it sounds pretty bad.

So, "more" natural disasters while the global temperature has been dropping is evidence of "global warming causing more natural disasters"?
Earthquakes, Tsunami

Plate tectonics.

So your perception of how things are today compared to the past is somehow proof of man-controlled climate change causing more natural disasters?
If global warming wasn't a part of it, then I dont know what is.

Bad stuff happening from nature. Happens a lot. It's just happening during your lifetime and affecting larger populations unlike all the stuff that happened in the prior 6,000,000,000 years of Earth history.
Luckily, where I live, global warming doesn't seem to be that much of a factor. It snowed till March this year, and again, I'm feeling winter coming already.

I'm not sure you understand what "climate change" theory myth is about.
I don't really know how serious global warming has become an issue in other parts of the world, but hearing from you guys, it sounds pretty bad.

Except they aren't discussing anything related to global warming/climate change. They're correlating a popular buzzword with a series of events and claiming causation.

Like the nuts who claimed the disaster of Katrina was caused by global warming causing more in number and more in power hurricanes. Except Katrina was a mid-level hurricane in power, and historically weak. Except hurricanes have reduced in number and severity over the last five years. Except global warming has nothing to do with failure of the government to maintain a levee system due to local corruption and federal incompetence. Besides, everyone knows it was caused by Dick Cheney's Black People Targeting Hurricane Machine.

Well that's depressing.

On another note, how bad do some of you guys suck at sympathy? Jing laughed at some guy for saying Rest In Piece pointing out that it's incorrect unless "he wants him to be in pieces" and Kris wanted the guys picture posted so he could tell if he was the one who was cut in half... something he repeated about four times

I had no idea Jing was such a douch grammar nazi. The correction would have been appropriate if papajack was actually cut into pieces as what Kris imagined.

This one caught my attention though:
