Kurt Angle is a great wrestler but putting everything around him does make it look unrealistic from any point of view.

Funny how J.R. commented on Cena and Orton's match at SummerSlam. When Cena kicked out of Orton's pin some time in the match, J.R. said "...and Cena must have searched the depths of his soul to kick out from that one. The resiliency! The heart of a champion!", while when it's Orton's turn to kick out of Cena's pin J.R. just said "...and Orton kicked out."

I know they're doing this to continue the push on Cena's character. :shake:

Exactly what I've been doing for the last couple of years

Stiff, actually professional wrestling, no retarded gimmicks whatsoever involved

Wow.. watching Wrestling for the first time in a long while, since I was over at my friend's dorm. I usually don't like it, but the bastard son thing was pretty damn funny. Its all faked, but the idea of McMann or something having that midget as his son was something. Though kind of figured it couldn't be HHH, so having someone appear from under the canvas was pretty much a possibility. I ain't a fan, but today's was fairly entertaining.

It's not uncommon for a face play-by-play commentator to talk up a face wrestler while showing less enthusiasm for the heel, so that approach isn't necessarily Cena-specific.

Hornswoggle was a lacklustre payoff to an angle I didn't much care for anyway, but in a way I'm kind of glad since there's better ways to push Kennedy than revealing him to be McMahon's illegitimate son. He certainly blew a big opportunity though.

It could just be my frustration, Andrew. :D

I stick strictly to NOAH, and occasionally some NJWP. But mostly the retro matches, stuff back in the 90's. Good stuff.

I love NOAH - just got my GHC Title History DVD set the other day.

Apparently the illegitimate son angle is likely continue once Kennedy's suspension is lifted. Personally I'd prefer it to be forgotten and if they're keen on pushing Kennedy, find another way to do it.

Just read from WWE.com that Sandman was also released by the WWE. Any details regarding this?

Thu Sep 13, 2007 4:45 pm

I guess he hurt his leg in the match against Santino on Monday, and other than that they had no use for him. No concrete details yet.

I like that ''DAMN''!!!
I am angry because that Punk winned ECW title! Morrison was good! I liked him!

Fri Sep 14, 2007 12:09 am

Morrison is indeed good, and he got some push since he entered Smackdown under MNM. And Punk is being pushed to the main event since this year's Royal Rumble. We all know the rule: faces win titles nowadays. Though I'm still wondering why Khali is still the champ, but it'll be no surprise to me if Rey Mysterio wins the World Heavyweight Championship again at Unforgiven.

Personally, I think Punk's title win was a longtime coming. Punk is much better in the ring, on the mic, a better wrestler overall. Here's to Burke and Punk  which I'm sure will be infinitely more entertaining than the feud with Nitro.

Huh? Khali, MVP, Cade/Murdoch, Hornswoggle (supposed to be a heel) - what are you talking about?

1. I guess that Khali will lose HWH tittle at Unforgiven.
2. MVP's feud with Matt Hardy isn't finished, so I think at the Unforgiven, Matt will make a Twist Of Fate to MVP and they will loose their WWE Tag Team Tittles and in the next PPV Matt will became the U.S. champ.
3. Cade & Murdoch aren't heels. They are twinners - their gimmicks are neutral.
4. Horwnswoggle is a face. Now he's feuding with Jamie Nooble. Nooble isvery heel, and Hornswoggle makes fun of Nooble sometimes :) And now he's a McMahon's bastard son. This have made people laugh, so it's a face role. He was a heel before, when he was helping to Finlay, but now he's a Cruiseweight champion, and he's a face :D

1. I don't think he'll lose.
2. That's probably correct.
3. They're definitely heels - they cheated to win the belts and are now feuding with London and Kendrick (huge faces).
4. He's a face purely because people seem to like the vertically challenged.

I'm just saying that WWE is not guilty of having all faces as champions all the time - take Triple H's endless WHC run for instance.

Glen found this somewhere:
