Is anyone else over the whole King Booker gimmick? I know it's a throwback and we're supposed to appreciate that but it seems to have run its course. He's certainly being wasted in this feud with Jerry Lawler when he could be a heel champ on Smackdown.

I'd rather have Booker back on his old Can you dig it sucka? days, and have him as Smackdown's champ instead of Khali.

the "sucka" days of Booker T were probably his best. Especially with Golddust. man, Golddust could've been a really good character quoting movies and the like, but they fucked him up and made him all gay and shit with Razor Ramon. Golddust was always one of my favorite wrestlers.

Booker's feud with Jerry Lawler looks alot like the Orton-Dusty Rhodes feud.

About Razor, I also liked his finisher Razor's Edge, but got screwed up during his feud with Jeff Jarett.

I read that with the declining ratings, the suggestion was made at one of the production meetings to possibly end the brand split. If it's at all a possibility, I hope the WWE continues to find the ratings unsatisfactory. :)

I think they should, since their PPV's aren't that brand-specific anymore. They must get use to it now. And some their main-event level superstars are out.

Absolutely, I was hoping that would be the first step towards ending the split.

Khali with a new "move", so much power, devastation and destruction. :|

EDIT: Any news on 'Taker's return?

A return at Unforgiven is rumoured, though given the initial prognosis on his injury that seems a little early. Of course, his return to television and actual in-ring return need not occur at the same time.

The Claw is definitely believable for me. If one of the Von Erich's can pass up a believable Claw finisher, than a Giant like Khali can definitely use it as a legitimate finisher. If only Khali can act like he's using all his power and adding alot of force into it, it'd be better... because he shows no effort when he does it. Maybe trash his opponent around in the Claw would make it look pretty decent as well.

He should swing around and act like he's actually pressing on pressure points of the opponent's head. Looking at the Khali vs. Flair on WWE.com, he's just standing up and gripping Flair's head like he's holding a melon or something.

Caught a little of ECW again yesterday when I got home from work. I'm not sure who has the most disturbing costume in the history of the company: Viscera or Bastion Booger back in the day.

My insanity is leaning towards Viscera. That costume is just wrong.

Supposedly he's going to get a monster push in ECW before being sent to Smackdown, much like Snitsky's push before heading to RAW a couple of months back.

For anyone who watched Smackdown this week, what did you think of JBL's potshots at NBA referees during the MVP/Matt Hardy segment? The comments were not without basis obviously but I couldn't help thinking that a company that's desperately trying to seperate themselves from one of their biggest names after he murdered his wife and son before killing himself and whose chairman could be facing his own congressional hearing over steroids perhaps shouldn't be mocking someone else's scandal.

Actually, I'm not all that keen on Orton winning. I know, there's plenty of good reasons for Cena to drop the belt and drop it to Orton but there's something about Orton getting a title run that just doesn't seem right. Say what you will about Cena, but he carries himself well and behaves like a professional. The same can't be said of Orton, who probably wouldn't be getting this push (and would probably be deep in the doghouse) if the WWE wasn't ravaged by injuries at the moment.

Anyway, Summerslam is upon us so it's prediction time.

WWE Championship Match
John Cena vs. Randy Orton

It looked like it would be Orton but then he beat down Cena at SNME and got the upper hand again on RAW, which is usually an indication that he'll be doing the job at the PPV. I pick Cena to retain, though Orton's probably going to get the belt at some point.

King of Kings Match
Triple H vs. King Booker

Triple H, since it's his triumphant return. Enough said.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
The Great Khali vs. Batista

The fact that Batista beat down Khali on Smackdown makes me think that's Khali's horrid reign as a major champion in the company could go on, but supposedly Batista is winning the belt back. I hope so, because the longer Khali is champion the more unwatchable Smackdown becomes. Just an awful decision, even with the brand suffering from injury.

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero

Like Triple H, Rey is the returning face seeking revenge on Chavo. Perhaps Chavo picks up the win to further the feud but I think he'll be doing the job.

ECW Championship Match
John Morrison vs. CM Punk

CM Punk will probably win the ECW title at some point but I don't think it's going to be at Summerslam. John Morrison will likely retain and the feud will continue.

Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship Match
Umaga vs. Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy

With Kennedy likely to be getting a big push as part of the McMahon's Long Lost Son angle, it wouldn't surprise me if he picked up the IC title to reinforce the idea of him being a winner (and therefore McMahon's son) owing to the fact he's got some gold around his waist. Umaga doesn't need the belt to get over and Carlito doesn't seem likely to get the push.

Kane vs. Finlay

I'll say Kane in a match that puts him over as a monster and involves some shenanigans from Hornswoggle.

Divas Battle Royal
Winner gets Women's Championship opportunity

It'll probably be a heel, most likely Melina or Jillian with Victoria having an outside chance.
