I really don't want a sig, but I would like to request an avator.

I would like a 76ers diamond cut avator, it can be either type of logo like the current one or the old school one. I would really appreciate it.

I'm doing ...something now, dunno know if you'll like it. But I don't know what you mean by diamond cut.

EDIT:
If you want it it's yours.

It looks pretty good, but what I meant by diamond cut was just making the logo in diamonds or you can make it silver-ish like the way it is in my sig.

That's an awesome idea with the logo in diamonds! I can't help with that, I am no good with photoshop

Like that?

Mon May 23, 2005 8:20 am

Is there a reason that the logo is so far cut off? I'd show a little more of the 6 even if part of the 7 gets cut off.

Thanks and your not the only one that suck at photoshop

Joeb, that looks real good and it matches my sig perfectly. If you could show a little more of the 6 then it would be fine like FendeR pointed out. But I like it (Y) Thanks

Here's one with a bit of a diamond effect.

If you want the gold bg gone just ask, I thought the silver and gold would be cool.

edit: I realized that may look alright, but not with your blue sig. Here you go.

I like that avatar but I don't think it would go to well with his Sig :?

Mon May 23, 2005 9:24 am

I think Joeb's is better because it's clearer, and it does match his sig a little better.

Mon May 23, 2005 9:55 am

I like his betterm but if he wants more 'diamond' then....

Mon May 23, 2005 11:42 am

I think the diamond one with the blue background would match good with the sig if it was like a darker blue or just put the diamonds on the same background the joeb made.

Mon May 23, 2005 8:54 pm

i want in the sig, Tony parker (on the left) manu (on the right) duncan in the middle
silver and black background. San Antonio Spurs across the bottom. and maybe some other random crap cos i cant think of any other stuff at the moment toooooo ooo TIREd

Good-Tutorials tuts
Pixel2Life Tut's
Dafont fonts
DeviantArt brushes

That just about covers it.

What Colin said. Don't know if I could replicate it even if I wanted to.

New Celtic one though.

Thanks Colin. I am starting to get photoshop but I need to learn a lot more.

Here is my first sig that I made today:

Not too bad, I suggest changing the colour of the outer glow there.

Tip for effects on players. Duplicate the layer of your photo, desaturate (ctrl-shirt-u) the top pic and change the hue (ctrl-u) to a colour like your background. Make sure colorize is checked, and make the saturation about 25-30. Then set that layer to overlay. In the sig I made for you I did that with a blue overlay layer.

Oh, thanks for tip (Y) I would edit it but I forgot to save the PSD and I just saved it as a JPEG. Next sig that I make I will try this!

BTW, What color do you suggest to use for the outer glow?

You might want to work on your cutting a little bit...

Tue May 24, 2005 9:40 am

I don't know if you meant to have the city background blurry, but it'd look better with better quality (if that's all you could find or whatever, it's still ok). For effects on the players, duplicating the layer and setting different blending options changes the picture a little, as well as what Colin said. You can also experiment with things like brightness and contrast, and other styles like thresholding (under Image>Adjustments). It's a hell of a lot better than my first sig though.

Yeah, the cropping could use some work as well. But with time you'll get better, it just takes some experience cutting (even though it can become a real pain). Just in case you don't know this, you can use the polygonal lasso tool (right click on the regular lasso tool) or the pen tool (with the "Paths" option on) to make cropping easier by outlining your picture. I use the pen tool @ 300% then touch up with the eraser @ 400%.

You can get plenty advice here, as you see. (Y)
