We never seem to do things the easy way. Was worth staying up until 6am though. Hopefully we can do it again with the FA Cup.

Chelsea sack Andre Villas-Boas after 9 months. What a joke of a club :facepalm2:

Now they have a guy who West Brom fired taking over for the rest of the season. Congrats on 4th place Arsenal. :applaud:

Very happy for the win... but it's a shame we are still giving a lot of own goals. (N)

I think Van Persie has scored more goals this season than the entire Liverpool team combined.

We should have been 3 or 4 goals up though really. Hitting the woodwork and missing a penalty again. Story of our season. :facepalm2:

Heard a good one a few days ago:

Who has no trophies, yet carries 10 mugs?

Robin van Persie

Strange how out of all the players Dalglish has signed only Suarez and Enrique have played at acceptable levels. All the British players are rubbish. :facepalm2:
(Coates hasn't had much time to be judged yet)

Hopefully we don't sign guys like Darren Bent, Steven Fletcher or Matt Jarvis next season. I'm hoping Cavani doesn't mind playing in the Europa League.

Props to my fellow countryman, Marcelo Bielsa, for leading his Bilbao side over Man United in both games. Also Lisbon taking down Man City! :bowdown2:

What a goal by Coates.

Seven wins in a row in Premier League for the Gunners. Third place safe. After that horrible 2-8 loss, no one thought we would be in this spot. Impressive season for Alex Song.

I remember when you guys were like 10 points behind us at the start of the season. Now you're 3rd and we're losing to Wigan at home. :|

He is beyond a legend at the club and the owners would get crucified if they fired him if he wasn't doing really poorly. But of course if he feels that he isn't doing the best thing for Liverpool he may decide to walk. He puts the club first.

Re-thinking how I feel about his ability to move the club forward atm. We've lost 6 of our last 7 games. 8 points out of 36 possible in 2012. :(

Downing, Adam, Henderson & Carroll have all been disappointing. I'm still not sure what Henderson offers or why Kenny thought a midfield of Adam, Shelvey and Spearing was better than Aquilani and Meireles. We were unlucky when Lucas got injured, but should have bought a replacement in January.

In hindsight I'd have loved Torres to have stayed and watched him play alongside Suarez. Who knows if it would have worked or not, but he couldn't have been much worse than Carroll has been.

Getting beaten at home by Wigan and giving up a two goal lead at QPR is unacceptable. Staying up until 3am to watch us lose is really depressing. :(

Even though I hate blaming results on refereeing, the Newcastle game was infuriating. A clear handball by Simpson cost us 1-0 lead and a one man advantage. Then Perch goes down like a sack of potatoes after Reina moved towards him (and from the replays I saw barely touched him, if at all).
The worst part of the game though was Carroll's dive. He did really well to beat two defenders and the goalkeeper, but instead of scoring into an empty net he decided to try and get a penalty. It made me embarrassed for him and pretty much give up on supporting him.
Apparently we had a choice between Carroll and Fernando Llorente to replace Torres. :facepalm2:

All due respect to Kenny, he's a legend afterall, but I'd be happy to see Rafa come back next season and see what he could do when given the money that Kenny's had. I mean he won the Champion's League with an arguably worse team than we have now.

Guess the owners will have to think about it if we don't improve by the end of the season.

In other news it's looking like it could be a Barcelona-Real Madrid Champions League Final. Although the final is in Munich and Bayern are capable of beating Madrid if they are all fit and playing their best.

Well, when an entire team costs 15m less than one player, that's just plain bad.

Arsenal - Manchester City this Sunday. Hopefully we can win, and also (this has to be the first time of my life) I'm rooting for Manchester United to win. I prefer United winning the title over City a million times.

Newcastle are only 2 points behind 3rd spot now and Cisse is scoring for fun. Hopefully Arsenal and Newcastle beat Spurs and Chelsea for the top 4. (Y)

Those numbers are way off. It was based on the team they put out against West Brom:

(All prices were reported prices)

Cisse: 9-10m
Ba: Free
Ben Arfa: 5.7m
Perch: 2m
Williamson: 1m
Coloccini: 10.3m
Krul: Free
Gutierrez: 7m
Guthrie: 2.5m
Cabaye: 5m
Simpson: 0.5m

= 44 million

Unless they're just talking about the guys they signed this season, but that doesn't add up either. Fairly ordinary journalism lol.

Edit: Ah I see what they've done. They said the team that FINISHED, so that doesn't include Coloccini and probably Cisse/Gutierrez too since they made 3 subs

FA Cup final against Chelsea. Will be nice to see Torres' face when Gerrard is lifting his second trophy of the season. Especially because he went to Chelsea 'to win things'.

Premature burial?

One hattrick against a relegation threatened team doesn't make up for the rest of his Chelsea career.

I don't think Liverpool fans should really be saying anything given you spent the Torres money on Andy Carroll and Jordan Henderson lol

Re: General Football/Soccer Talk

Carroll & Henderson have scored the same amount of league goals for Liverpool as Torres has for Chelsea.

No help from puddles either. :cheeky:
