I don't think that'd be much better. Cena had a lot of momentum going into Wrestlemania 21, he had the crowd behind him and remained popular after winning the belt. Unfortunately they had him drop one of the key elements of his character, pushed The Marine down the audience's throat and booked him like Hulk Hogan in the 80s. Now it's become stale even when he's dropped the title a couple of times because they can't seem to book him out of the title picture. He's either holding it for months at a time or briefly chasing it (and recapturing it) when he's without it.

Watched a re-run of RAW yesterday. The episode before Judgment Day. I just noticed that HBK went back on his "Sexy Boy" entrance but is still doing that raised cross-forearms after he enter the ring. I'd like to know if DX would be dead, HBK is currently out right?

And I've read somewhere that 'Taker would be out for 6-8 months. :(

^ Talk about living under a rock.

I'm messing with the molds under the rock

I haven't read anything about DX reforming after HHH (and now HBK) return from injury/surgery. I remember reading that HHH would likely be involved in a feud with Orton upon his return so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Given the fact the angle couldn't really run its course due to HHH's injury and the huge reaction it garnered, maybe there will be another run when they're both healthy.

On RAW, Shane McMahon announced a tri-branded draft in two weeks.

Now I wonder how the rosters are gonna look after this one.

Wed May 30, 2007 4:40 pm

That draft might move Benoit back to RAW.

Thu May 31, 2007 10:30 am

I wouldn't be surprised, they could use another main event calibre wrestler and for some reason Michael Hayes reportedly doesn't see Benoit as being at that level, which would explain his midcard status on Smackdown. With all the injuries, the draft sounds like a good idea.

Fri Jun 01, 2007 9:40 am

I'm excited - I wonder if the injured wrestlers will be drafted or they'll make some sort of dramatic return upon healing.

Fri Jun 01, 2007 6:34 pm

I've been wondering about that too. My guess is that they'll be considered exempt from the draft and come back to their current brands when they're cleared to return.

Return Batista to RAW :D

One Night Stand... no surprise there. I knew it all along. Khali feuding with Cena is purely meant for Cena to get over in order to make Cena more believable as a "Superman". Cena's title reign is ridiculous, boring, and stale. The Draft shakeup needs to have a superstar moved over to Raw to take the title from Cena.

Mon Jun 04, 2007 5:53 pm

Agreed. The eagle belt must return.

PS: Did Cena STFU'd Khali?

He probably won't take the title, but given the current plan seems to be to have Cena take on all these "monsters", it wouldn't surprise me if Mark Henry went to RAW.

Rajah says Benoit is going to Raw in the draft - thank God. I'd love to see him take the title at Summerslam perhaps. You have to give Cena credit for FU'ing Khali off of whatever construction vehicle they had there. Quite a feat, I must say.

Tue Jun 05, 2007 11:36 pm

Benoit absolutely deserves a decent run with the title but I'm not too optimistic about it happening with the current plan of pushing Cena as the Hogan of the 21st Century, beating the odds and being fed a string of big wrestlers that he ultimately overcomes time after time.

Fri Jun 08, 2007 5:50 pm

Benoit to Cena could be a Ultimate Warrior to Hogan.
Still hoping for a Benoit push.

Tue Jun 12, 2007 11:11 am

Benoit just got drafted to ECW.... :(

Hopefully they trade him after the show.

EDIT: And Mr. McMahon got blown up. :boohoo:

Tue Jun 12, 2007 6:25 pm

 Well it wasn't close to Eddie Guerrero's Death Breaking News.

Wed Jun 13, 2007 12:41 am

Benoit to ECW? Fuck.
At least Lashley got to Raw.
The only other 'draft' worth noting for me is Torrie and Flair to Smackdown.

Hope HHH returns.

Wed Jun 13, 2007 5:21 am

gotdamn, Torrie is hot. my question is, where did all the other hot divas go? *ahem Stacy Kiebler

Wed Jun 13, 2007 5:26 am

Became famous.
There are only two things WWE Divas aim for
- Playboy covergirl
- being famous outside WWE, with the exception of being affiliated with Playboy.

Torrie is hot indeed, but ironically, most of the wrestling fans on the wrestling boards think Mickie James is the hottest Diva in the WWE right now... which is very, very wrong.

Victoria, Torrie, and Melina are the top Diva's lookwise imo. :P

word. i agree with you there. i don't like any of the newer divas they all look like they got ripped from the pages of FHM or something.

there was always something about torrie (perhaps her nice body with the combonation of a decent face) that i can't forget.

So much for Benoit's push. He'll bring star power to the brand but as awesome as the Rabid Wolverine may be, the new ECW is still doomed in my opinion. The spirit and overall appeal just isn't there; Benoit doesn't deserve to be on the show that's essentially become a glorified minor league.

As far as the whole "Vince McMahon is presumed dead" angle is concerned, I don't see it going down as one of wrestling's classic storylines. I guess it will get him off TV for a while but I don't think it will be compelling television.
