FIFA World Cup: South Africa 2010

A few times yeah.

Chris Wood almost stole the game on probably our only chance of 2nd half. Pretty classic that we've only created 2-3 real chances in each game & picked up a goal in each. I'm really happy with the backline. When I said to everybody that I rated it higher than the Aussies I meant it. It's a real shame our midfield is so shite, because guys like Smeltz & Killen just don't get many chances to shine. Hopefully Tim Brown, our key midfielder, is back from injury for final game against Paraguay. I think Paraguay will do us by 2 or 3 goals but that's because I rate them & Chile more than I do a team like Italy.

Ahh well, I guess I should try to get some sleep. Gotta wake up in about 4 hours for work.

Just saw a replay of Luis Fabiano's second goal against Ivory Coast and the ball hit him lower on the arm than what Kewell got sent off for.
Not to mention his handball to bring the ball down at the start of the move. Terrible inconsistent referees this tournament.

The Ivory Coast - Brazil match was up to now the most highly entertaining game. The two hands in one go thing for Brazil was kinda shocking & Kaka falling down a la Cristiano Ronaldo was hilarious to watch. They got him back good though, pretty damn good.

I felt bad for Ivory Coast, they play pretty well.

I thought Ivory Coast were Africa's best chance in this World Cup. But they have a tough group and if Portugal win tonight they may not get out of the group stage.

I'm looking forward to watching Chile play again. I was impressed with them in their first game, even if it was Honduras.
They have some good young players. Alexis Sanchez, Vidal, Isla, Mati Fernandez, Valdivia and Mark Gonalez off the bench.

Seeing as Portugal are leading 4-0 I would imagine Ivory Coast are out now. Even if they do beat North Korea and Brazil beat Portugal, their goal difference is way behind Portugal's now.

No kidding. We're pathetic right now, absolutely shameful. That's what happens when you got overpaid morons who mainly play abroad, not in their own championship, they couldn't care less to play as a real team for their country. I hope we get crushed by South Africa in the next game.

They really did. I don't think they deserved to win looking back at the game, but even though it was cool to see, Fabiano's 2nd goal should have definitely be canceled and it should only be 2-1 for Brazil.
