PiksS, that's kind a nice. Is there any possibility to join the league your playing in when I get older ? I mean, how did you get in there ? Shined in camps and stuff ?

For me:

Height: 5'6"~
Weight: 110 or something.
Position: PG/SG
Averages: Not sure, but around: 17 ppg, 11 apg, 4 rpg, 3 spg, 1 bpg
Age: turned 13 few weeks ago
Gameplay: Well.. I'm usually bringing the ball up and down the court, I set plays for my team, if they don't understand (lol) then I get myself a lane and go for the easy 2, if my teammates are open I pass them the ball and I like to dribble a lot, I have a nice crossover. Defensibly I try to get as many steals as possible, sometimes I gamble ( I know it's bad ), I mostly am the first man to get back to the D and if it's fast break coming, there's where I get my 1 block mostly, I just put my hand on the ball when the player is coming, unless he's much taller and bigger than me, like a PF or something.

I don't play in a league yet, but this is how I play with my friends. We're playing really good, and you can ask everything about us if you think our defense is weak or stuff like that. ;P We play 4 on 4 mostly. I play everyday, so I'm really looking for future, that's why I would like to get some information about the league and how did you get your way there.

Thanks.

Me ? It's nothing wrong with my stats, is it ? I don't do some sick street moves, I can't shoot over 40% from the field, probably I shoot around 35% if you count layups because I mostly score on layups. Don't compare me to him :p. I am not excellent, I don't have a god's gift to average 50 points, so no, I wouldn't compare myself to him. :P My main point was to ask how did he make it there, camps, showed himself in games or how ?

don't know, could be, because the team was establish only last year!....it's a team under a great coach with great oppurtunities!....teams like ASK Riga, Ventspils....and all the other big teams wouldn't take me on the roster, if they did, than i would be the BEST BENCH WARMER, or the guy who best can give fives to his teammates, of course, if they only would give me their five.
and Oskar, you actually need to play in a official junior basketball league to even be noticed! i don't know how to get in these camps, the coaches offer me to play, i have never actually cared....because i have been fucked in basketball so many times, that i don't even care about it....i guess licking the coaches ass can really get you somewhere!

Emiliano, in the beginning I did write them down. Right now, I said around. Is that really a problem how my stats look like ? ;/ I didn't really overrate myself or so. I also have my weaknesses, sometimes I take the wrong move, I get turnovers and so on, so well.. I'm not going to say I'm a good player here, yet. :P

and PiksS, I'll try to get myself into somewhere as soon as possible. :P

you really should, because playing with your friends is more for fun, but playing in the league you really can see how good you are against player who do also practice!....

Sad that so many people here are like.. trying to 'own' everyone who tells something about his real life. Most likely the person who starts to do this, doesn't show any difference with a geek in real life. On some situations, they do.. Really, it's weird to see so many people not believe anything they see over internet, even though the stuff might be normal, if it's better than the other one, they still need to complain about it.

How does everyone keep all there averages and stats? When I played in a local league down here in Australia, the only stat that was recorded was points.

But you know everyone on the internet is 6"10, a 100% field goal shooter and has a 50 inch vertical

Their own memory, I assume. That's what I did when I played competitively in the junior leagues, points were the only officially recorded statistic in my local league as well. I believe they kept track of other stats in the rep leagues though as I'd also see field goal percentage leaders posted on the bulletin boards at the stadium.

Well...i do not memorize my stats.....cuz i really never care, but like 2 yaers ago, when we didn't have the full protocol like right now, we had one dude off the court who was counting our teams stats!....so, the coach could see our effort on the court, but now we have like 5people sitting at the team table, and each half time they print out the games protocol!

Yeah, here in Italy most teams have one or two guys that keep track of the team's stats. They're part of the team staff, just like the coach and the assistant coach, so they usually sit on the bench during the game. I think they're called scorers.

I'm called a scorer...for other reasons. Atleast I am according to my right hand.

I would have preferred to do it that way but in the competition I played in, two people (usually someone's parents) manned the scorer's table, operating the scoreboard and filling out the points register. As I said I'm pretty sure the rep leagues tracked other stats though.
