FM06 NLSC Story [ 1/2 Yearly Update Up ]

Probably 15-16 you'll get decent match time. I don't think you'll have to wait that long.

My suggestion is that besides the name in the update you should put position and team.

edit: maybe somewhere on that thin strip in fine print that is somewhat legible.

ex: 17 YRS / DM / REAL MADRID

Maybe age too.

That's all in the first post, I guess I could add it.

Anyways I'd typed 90% of another update when the fucking power cut out. It'll probably be a few days before anyone one is up because I can't be bothered doing it again.

Damn, that's harsh man.. Similar things have happened to me a few times, and it sucks just as bad every time.. (n)

I was actually also going to suggest putting position and age in the header. It'd make things a lot more convenient (y)
And oh, how about at the six month mark, have an 'All-NLSC' team? Might not be enough players for that though I suppose..

I hate that....same thing happenned to me on Thursday night....had 90% of my dynasty update & CPU crashed & I lost everything....I've lost all motivation to do it again....I'll probably do one in next couple of days if I can be bothered & will probably be half-arsed :(

Has anyone ever heard of the FM fan who applied for a job as manager of Middlesborough? Ithought it was pretty funny, check out his site. After your finished with that, click the link at top that reads "seventy seven" to find more stuff he says he wants to do before 30.

I've seen that, there was another guy who applied as manager of West Ham. I think they gave him a tour of the place and let him sit in on a few training sessions.

Few quick notes: The scout reports were done by the scouts employed by Millwall (a mid-table team in the English 1st division). Reports only came back for players who had played in the time the scouts were deployed, those of you who didn't play didn't get one. I'm dropping the money rankings also as it's just too much work, I'll replace it with something eventually. Also to Jing, I seem to have accidentely made your nationality English in the game. I can't change it, but it's not such a bad thing I guess.

Month #6

AMR | Paris Saint Germain | Cambodia

Much like the other youngsters, #12's age has so far kept him out of the Paris Saint German Under 18's team.

Games Played: 2
Goals: 0
Assists: 1
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 0
Red Cards: 0
Pass Percentage: 52%
Shooting Percentage: 42%
Fouls: 4
Average Rating: 7.00
International Caps: 2 (Cambodia Under 21's)

DC | Newcastle United | Sweden

With the year coming to an end, the Newcastle Reserves had a relatively easy run into the new year with only two games in Group 1. Against Ipswitch reserves Dahl was virtually flawless, tackling like a machine, winning every header that came his way and intercepting the ball at will. With the rest of the Newcastle Reserves side vastly underperforming, they only managed to squeeze out a 1-0 win. With only one game left in 2005, the best was saved for last as Newcaslte Reserves came up against the team running 1st in the league, Derby. With pressure mounting and the fans expecting Newcastle to pull out a victory, Derby took advantage of any nerves running through the team and opened the scoring in the 21st minute. Newcastle fought back and equalised through Lee Bowyer. Andreas was fairly anonymous throughout the match, seemingly walking through the game and not making a great deal of effort one way or another. As a result he was substituted on the 42nd minute as Derby Reserves ran over the top of the Toon in the second half, winning 2-1.

Games Played: 12
Goals: 0
Assists: 2
Man Of The Match: 1
Yellow Cards: 2
Red Cards: 0
Tackles Per Game: 7.45
Fouls: 9
Average Rating: 6.92
International Caps: 2
1 (Sweden Under 19's)
1 (Sweden Under 21's)

Scout Robert Turner has been impressed by young Newcastle central defender Andreas Dahl.

Andreas Dahl is a product of the Newcastle youth system and is recommended as a decent signing.

Turner was present as Andreas Dahl played in Newcastle Reserves' 1-0 victory over Ipswich.

SW | Sao Paulo | Korea

Quite possibly the worst month in Bang's short career, it started off on a high as he received a call-up to the Sao Paulo Reserves to face arch rivals Corinthians. Making a solid start to the game, Bang looked comfortable playing against playuers much older than him, but completely reversed all of his good work by being sent off on the 65th minute for deliberately tripping a Corinthians attacker. Since this mass disappointment, Bang was called up for one more appearance for the reserves but never made it off the bench and has spent the rest of the month riding the bench for the Under 20's.

Games Played: 17
Goals: 1
Assists: 1
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 3
Red Cards: 1
Tackles Per Game: 10.41
Fouls: 19
Average Rating: 6.85
International Caps: 2 (South Korean Under 21's)

Scout Robert Turner has been impressed by young Sao Paulo sweeper Bang.

Bang is a product of the Sao Paulo youth system, and Turner believes he would instantly compete for a place in the Millwall first team.

Unfortuantely it may prove impossible to obtain a work permit for a player this young.

Image
AMLC | AC Milan | U.S.A

No games played but is starting to look quite useful as a player.

Image
ST | Sevilla | Brazil

Dadinha struggled with an injury for most of the month and was rested in games against Xerex, Recreativo and Deportivo Under 18's. Without him in the line-up, Sevilla struggled but are still perched on top of the Under 18's Group 2 ladder in second place. With only one match remaining in the year, Dadinha was called onto the bench to face Malaga Under 18's and despite only getting limited game time (20 minutes) he was impressive and looked fairly sharp.

Games Played: 12
Goals: 6
Assists: 0
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 0
Red Cards: 0
Pass Percentage: 63%
Shooting Percentage: 68%
Fouls: 4
Average Rating: 7.33

After watching Dadinha in Sevilla Under 18's 1-1 draw with Malaga, Ronnie Boyce reveals that he doesn't believe the player would ever be good enough to play for the Millwall first team.

WB/R | Manchester United | Australia

Dean showed some signs of recovering his reputation for United, being named on the bench in matches against Brighton Under 18's and Leeds Under 18's. He didn't participate in either match.

Games Played: 1
Goals: 0
Assists: 0
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 0
Red Cards: 0
Tackles Per Game: 1.00

DL | Real Madrid | Chile

Things go from bad to worse for resident Real Madrid C headcase Drex. After serving a suspension for trying to surgically remove Giovanni Dos Santos' leg from the rest of his body against Barcelona C, Drex was named in the starting line-up to play Oyonesa. Trying to make up for his previous performance, Drex forced the issue and turnt over the ball at every opportunity. Three times his man beat him down the flank, only for Drex to go charging back at him in an attempt to win the ball back. This generally resulted in the player being knocked ten feet over the sideline, and in order to try and curve his aggression Drex was substituted after only twenty minutes. Despite his excessive nature, Drex still appears to be a strong prospect but his attitude may cause problems further down the line.

Games Played: 4
Goals: 0
Assists: 0
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 0
Red Cards: 1
Tackles Per Game: 3.21
Fouls: 11
Average Rating: 5.50

Scout Robert Turner has heard promising things regarding young Real Madrid full back Drex.

He believes Drex would be a decent signing for the team.

Unfortunately it may prove impossible to obtain a work permit for a player this young.

DM | Arsenal | England

Iron man Jing once again played more games than any other NLSC'er in the month of December. He performed strongly in a match against Fulham Under 28's, making very few mistakes and leading the Gunners youngsters to a 3-0 win. Another decent performance in a 4-1 thrashing against Millwall Under 18's saw him called up yet again to represent the Arsenal Reserves and taking him another step closer to his first team debut. He struggled in a 5-0 thrasing at the hands of Wolverhampton Under 18's, and despite beating his opponent a number of times (something fairly rare for Jing to do) he quickly ran out of steam and was substituted after 61 minutes. Backing up in a crucial top of the table clash with Tottenham Reserves, Jing once again looked to get by his opponent and did a number of times. Unfortunately he yet again became tired, but with no substitutions remaining played out the remainder of the game. As luck would have it, Jing's direct opponent Sean Davis scored the winning goal after 75 minutes to wrap up a 2-1 win and first place in the league. Despite his obvious fatigue, the Under 18 side called him into their starting line-up to play Portsmouth Under 18's, and despite a fairly decent start, Jing was sent off in the 47th minute for a wreckless tackle. Arsenal Under 18's went on to lose the game 2-1 and currently 1st in Group 4 of their league.

Games Played: 23
Goals: 0
Assists: 2
Man Of The Match: 2
Yellow Cards: 3
Red Cards: 1
Tackles Per Game: 3.80
Fouls: 12
Average Rating: 6.91

Scout Ronnie Boyce has been impressed by young Arsenal midfielder Jing.

Jing is a product of the Arsenal youth system and is recommended as a decent signing.

Boyce was present as Jing played in Arsenal Under 18's 4-1 victory over Millwall.

MR | Ajax | Croatia

Despite showing obvious signs of improvement in training, Jugs still hasn't managed to crack the Ajax Under 21's side.

Image
AMC | AS Roma | Australia

Nick didn't play any games this month for the AS Roma Under 20's, nor was he called up to play for the Roma Reserves. The reason for this? Nick has become a fully fledged starter in the AS Roma first team, playing alongside footballing superstars like Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Antonio Cassano. Nick's increasingly impressive performances in the Under 20's team bode well for him, as the Roma first team actually uses the same formation. He has slotted into his usual spot behind a lone striker and as of yet hasn't been overawed by it at all. His debut game in the biggest game of his entire life, playing against the current Serie A leaders Juventus away from home in front of 68,000 fans. Despite being confronted by the likes of Fabio Cannavaro, Robert Kovac, Gianluca Zambrotta and Gianluigi Buffon, Nick held his own and put in a solid performance before he was substituted towards the end of the game as Roma lost 1-0 to an early Emerson strike. Regaining his spot in the starting line-up, Nick made his European football debut in the UEFA Cup against Maccabi Tel-Aviv. In a game Roma easily won 4-0, Nick seemed less cautious and took the opportunity to get forward and go for goal a few times although he failed to get on the score sheet. Finally playing his first match at home for the main squad, 45 thousand supporters turnt out to see AS Roma hammer Chievo 3-1 with another typically solid performance from Nick. At 18 years of age Nick becomes the first NLSC player to be a regular member of the first team, not only that, his Roma team currently sits 2nd in the Serie A with an eye on the Champions League for next season.

Games Played: 14
Goals: 3
Assists: 3
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 0
Red Cards: 0
Pass Percentage: 82%
Shooting Percentage: 33%
Fouls: 10
Average Rating: 7.20
International Caps: 2 (Australia Under 19's)
International Goals: 1

Scout Robert Turner believes that young Roma starlet Nick would be an excellent acquisition for the club.

Turner was present as Nick played in Roma's 3-1 victory over Chievo

Unfortunately it may prove impossible to obtain a work permit for a player this young.

WB/R | Bari | Australia

Peachy spent most of the month without a club after being released by Villarreal, but with things looking bad and very few prospects in sight, Italian side Bari snapped up the wingback and inserted him straight into the Under 20's set-up.

Image
GK | Atletico Madrid | Estonia

Sdude remains the second choice goalkeeper in the Atletico Under 18's team and has yet to be required in a match.

Games Played: 4
Goals Conceded: 5
Clean Sheets: 1
Man Of The Match: 0
Average Rating: 6.50
International Caps: 3 (Estonia Under 19's)

Image
MC | Inter Milan | Serbia & Montenegro

Srbija seems disillusioned in training and has started to become edgy about his lack of playing time. At only 13 years of age this is to be expected.

Image
WB/L | Rangers | New Zealand

The month could not have possibly started better for The X. After having two disappointing games in a row, The X picked himself up against Hibernian Reserves and completely dominated from the back, constantly breaking up their play down the flanks and beating his opponent numerous times. He set up a goal for Marc Kalenga as Rangers drove their way to a 3-0 rort. The X probably should've been named man of the match if it wasn't for Steven Thompson's two goals, but his impact was definitely felt. With a great performance behind him, The X's chance of breaking into the Rangers first team took a dramatic turn for the best in the space of 1 week, with current wing back Mikele Leighertwood requesting a transfer away from Ibrox, and central defender Julien Rodriguez suffering an injury that will keep him out for a month. With very few players to fill the gaps, The X was tipped as the most likely man to be called up and was even rested against Falkirk Reserves and began training with the first team. Three days before his first team debut, The X fell awkwardly in training and twisted his knee. The injury has kept him out of action and his replacement in the Rangers first team has been solid in his first two appearances. Despite his bad luck, The X will still have a chance in the new year after he recovers from his injury.

Games Played: 15
Goals: 1
Assists: 3
Man Of The Match: 1
Yellow Cards: 1
Red Cards: 0
Tackles Per Game: 3.05
Passing Percentage: 85%
Fouls: 10
Average Rating: 7.07

ST | Arsenal | France

Thierry only played one game in December, coming off the bench in the disaster against Wolverhampton Reserves. He made very little difference in the game and has gone unused in the subsequent game afterwards.

Games Played: 12

Assists: 0
Man Of The Match: 0
Yellow Cards: 0
Red Cards: 0
Passing Percentage: 57%
Shooting Percentage: 73%

After watching Thierry2 during Arsenal Reserves 5-0 loss to Wolves, Robert Turner advises you that the striker is way below the standard he would expect of a Millwall player.

Thierry2 has recently revealed that he was disappointed to find himself transfer-listed at Highbury, and is determined to prove himself.

Excellent update. (y)

Very sad to hear I was struggling with an injury and even worse that Millwall of all teams doesnt think I'll ever be good enough to break into the first team. Oh well.

Being the best and most promising forward makes up for all that for the time being. 8-)

In one of mine I think you meant 18’s instead of 28’s. be cool if you could patch that up…
And I was wondering when I was gonna get a red card. It was only a matter of time… as for the stamina thing and me beating my opponent, that is so true. During this past ultimate season we played several tournaments, and I always played well in the first 4 or 5 games, but on the second day or whatnot my body would just doesn’t want to run anymore… this is brilliant Jae.

Oh and congrats to Nick. (Y)
lol jae, no problem. Just wondering.. english.. does that mean I am british? Oh gawd  guess this just means it will be harder for me to get some international caps with England having such a deep number of players
