I use my 360 on my 20" crt monitor and it looks pretty decent. I think HD also works everytime I use my CRT monitor, because the HD logo comes out when I first start the game. I also bought a vga switch which is awesome! i t was like 30 bucks? from ebay.. I bought it so i dont need to keep switching whenever i use my pc or my 360. I just switch it off within a press of a button.

go to ebay and search VGA switch. it should be a blue one. it cost around 30 bucks...

Yea I have a 17" LCD Monitor. But right next to it I have like a 36 inch regular TV. Should I sacrifice a big screen for an LCD screen? Also Is GTA San Andreas compatible on Xbox 360? I have that for regular xbox and i'm not getting my 360 til september.

had lunch at pub with mate who works at EB last Friday & we briefly covered topic of XBox 360....over a pint of Guiness, I found myself surprised to hear a self-professed Nintendo & Sony boy (mainly Nintendo, he's had a Wii pre-ordered for a while now) ask whether he should get an XBox 360....I didn't tell him yes or no as he already knows the positives & negatives, but it did surprise me....he said Sony PS3 has been all over the place....I don't know what he meant by this, whether it was release dates or prices, or lack of information or lack of game titles or a combination of all of these factors, but who knows....he said the 360 has some marquee games coming out really soon....one is Saints Row I think....he said it's suppose to be the 360's version of GTA....Prey is another big one....and the huge one obviously is Halo 3 early next year....sounds like the 360 is starting to get its marquee titles....perhaps Sony has really dropped the ball here, much like Sega & Nintendo has in the past....we'll have to wait & see I guess....in the meantime, I'll be happily enjoying my 360, not having to worry about which system will be better....if PS3 is really all it's cracked up to be, then I can always get one down the line....but then again, gaming systems tend to succeed based on their game titles & marquee titles....sounds like the 360 is headed in the right way (Y)

From that, sounds like the PS3 won't be as good as it was hyped up to be. Hopefully that is not the case.

Hey thanks Big-D, another question though. I see all screenshots for XBOX 360s are wide-screen... Will image distort if I have a standard monitor?

no, as I've run it on both....in the display settings, you choose what your monitor displays, standard, widescreen, etc

I have been looking through a few adds, and I found this JB Hi-Fi add. It's advertising it's XBoX 360 games (only some though) for $79. Some of the games that I saw are Ghost Recon, Quake 4, COD2, Far Cry, Dead or Alive 4 and it looks like some of the more expensive games have dropped aswell. The most expensive game that I saw was Madden NFL 06, that was $104, considering it was something like $110 and still is in some stores.

I saw Live 06 and 2K6 for $120 at release at Gamesrush. Just shows the cost of gaming nowadays...

it's a new console, what do you expect?!? PSX games were that much when they were released when the console was new....same with Sega Mega Drive & other older systems....

you should try looking around....I got NBA2k6 at Target, Call of Duty 2, and Oblivion Collectors Edition for $79 each....go to Target & K Mart & you get games cheaper....just wait for specials, that's what I do....

Srbija, $104 for Madden 06 is expensive, especially when you consider that Madden 07 will be out in a couple of months....

Yeah I know, but I'm just basing it on how much it was. Even though it wasn't a big drop in price, it still dropped.

Like I said in my previous post, JB Hi-Fi has alot of bargains.
It's also got the XBoX 360 priced at $543 when you trade in your normal XBoX console.

The normal XBoX is priced at $99

Hmmm, anybody got the red lights of death yet? I know my friend got them when i was at his house, but we assumed it was cuz the video cables weren't hooked up so we restarted the console and it was all good. But still, I've heard bad things about the infamous red lights of death.

Ima still get a PS3 lol.

Black Death, I gladly haven't seen the red lights yet, but I took a 2 year extended warranty with the store I got it from just in case....I think it's worth the $80 ($60US) that I spent for the piece of mind....

I have a question, I just bought an Xbox game to play on my Xbox 360 because it's not out for 360 and when I put it in it doesn't work it says to check xbox.com/games for an update for the game and I don't see it. I thought you were able to play xbox games on 360 but I guess not?
