We're 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss now... Babel is completely dominating, but fresh off his debut hat-trick, Kone got injured 6 minutes into the next match... along with Yildrim, Farnerud, McCarthy and Kisliy :x :x

Wow, Kone is a beast!

In my restarted game with Liverpool ive picked up a few transfers, mostly just the guys i had before though (Kisily, Everton etc). But i came accross this guy i want, but his club refuses to accept my transfer offer. His names Giovanny Hernandez. Hes got real solid ratings, plus hes young 20's.

Ill post an in-depth update either tonight, or tomorrow after noon.

Off topic, cant wait to see the Socceroo's take on Japan tonight! Cahill for MVP (Y)

With all of these injuries, I decided to pick up some re-enforcements:

Denilson (Free)
Christian Vieri (150k)
Rodrigo Defendi (625k)

Vieri's a fuckwit  he says he should be treated like the best player in the squad, and will be unhappy otherwise.

Finally got some players back... well, Kone and that's it. Huge game against Lyon... I think we'll get smashed but who knows.

Ugh.. Babel scored but had it disallowed, although he's just scored for real so that's ok. He's ripping it up, looks like an entirely different player this season. Boka just missed a penalty... fucking useless. Kone's been playing pretty average so I'm putting Vieri on, hopefully it'll work. Fucking hell they got one back, this'll be another draw. 1 win, 3 draws, 1 loss. Annoying

Babel (inc. pre-season): 6 games, 6 goals, 7 assists

Well, I started a Sydney FC game on my laptop and I haven't done many transfers because i only have 510K$AUD. I tried getting Everton but the club he's with rejects 500k plus some youngen worth 8k. I tried getting a young guy (Connoly) from Arsenal because they asked me for a friendly and I accepted.

Anyways, I versed Arsenal in the Friendly and it was a scoreless first half, my keeper (Craig Bolton) was awesome. In the second half, some guy I loaned (he was loaned by default) named Buonavoglia scored a goal. I was like I SCORED AGAINST ARSENAL!! Then 30 seconds later Bergkamp scored.. lol then Thierry Henry scored 4 minutes later. Then on the 92nd minute, Dwight Yorke (a.k.a. God) scored a goal and I drew with Arsenal. The game was televised and in Sydney too. So I was proud.
Now I'm playing in the A-League Cup, first game against Adelaide United. Adelaide are 3-1 to win the match and I'm 4-6 to win it. (stupid odds system). In the 12th minute, Dwight Yorke scored :headbang: and I nearly got another goal again if that loaned guy didn't miss from in fucking front. Garh, Bolton just saved a shot from Veart, I was certain he was fucked!. For about 20 minutes, Adelaide have dominated like bitches but not being able to score. Luckily. Oh shit, I've got 2 yellow cards. ARRH fucking idiot scored a goal :x :x Keeper went to save the ball and guy came across and kicked it. 1-1 at half time. Hopefully the team will do better in the 2nd half...made one sub for one of my yellow card dude, he was the tireder one..

Ugh another yellow card...63rd minute and i make sub. Hopefully these fuckers will do something decent...GOALLLLLL!!!!!!!!! Yorke cleared the bal from half way and Buonavogila ran onto to and scored. Fuck, my AM/FC Salazar got injured... Fuck I can't make anymore subs so I'll have to play 10 men :x . OH YOU FUCKING KEEPER YOU DICKWANK!!!!!! OH shit, it was offside... good good. The keeper went to the ball and there was somone on the left side and kicked it in but it was offside. Phew. 10 minutes left, and 10 men. Oh fuck, adelaide crossed but luckily everyone missed it lol. Ugh for the last few mins, I'm gonna play a 5-2-2 line-up. Buanovilaga was all alone!! and he missed! OMG TOOL!. 1 minute left out of 4 minutes injury time... cross by adelaied but cleared... cross again but adelaide fouled!!. lol kicked it and another Adelaide foul but fuck it, full time an I win 2-1 8-) 8-)

I'll give everyone a Did well except Yorke, Bunoavoglia and Bolton, they get Delighteds lol. Salazar is out for 4 days - 2 weeks. I'll play Middleby at AM and have 2 FC's.

Yorke, Rudan and Talay's "Inf" is PR, what does that mean?

Yes, some how I drew with them. Yorke is in superb form :headbang: and my 3 injured guys are recovering well..

Now I play Perth Glory and I'm the favourites to win. I'm versing a 4-1-3-1-1 line-up  lol 2 mins in and I've got a yellow card. OH WHAT THE HELL!!! GOAL FOR PERTH :x from a corner kick, some fucker got it in. Grrr. So much for Godlike status. Garh catch it keeper you tool, punches it straight to the oppositon, luckily it's a corner and cleared. YORKE!!! IS GOD!!! It was crossed in and everyone missed it and Yorke on the left side got it and scored. 20 mins left in half. Oh yorke again! ah keeper saves and corner kick. OH WHAT THE HELL I LOOK A WAY AND SOME FUCKER SCORES FOR PERTH. The same guy as before, 8 mins left, dribbles to the keeper and scores.

Ugh some random added me on MSN and is like "i'm nicole... risole*" and i'm like "FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING SLUT" and yes I continue this.

Half time and I have to grade the players or whatever, meh. Everyone's played shit except Yorke :headbang: .

Alright, now, let's see if i can get a goal back, ugh Perth kicked it and hit the crossbar, lucky... Oh and another miss by Perth, fucking retards, defend! :x . Lol Perth just got 2 yellow cards, and then i got a yellow card :x . I'll make a sub ASAP. 70th minute, i'll sub 2 tired players off. one of them happens to be a yellow card holder... hopefully Yorke can unleash his shyness of the scoring ability

Oh Dwight Yorke! magical kick from the left, cleared on the line by the defender. Oh another attempt by us! Oh we're pressuring like a pressure cooker! Corner, OH YOU FRUITCAKE, infront of goal and whips it way above the crossbar.

OH FUCK A DUCK I LOST!! A GAME I "SHOULD'VE WON EASILY"

Ah well. That's it for now, Aussie celebration now!

First match is against Le Havre, who my scout says has a slow defense. Since I've got guys like Babel, Kone and Yildrim who are all fast as hell I'm hoping we'll get somewhere. Back from injuries are Yildrim and McCarthy, which is huge. Hmm Michael Owen wants to move to a bigger club... I think I'll leave that alone for now.

It's half time, we're up 2-1 with goals to Everton and Christian Vieri (penalty). Babel got injured really early on which blows because he's been awesome lately. They scored the first goal but things have settled down now, and their best defender has been sent off.

Second half and the flood gates have completely exploded. Just as I was thinking Kone's injury must have had some lasting effects on his form, he scores a goal. Christian Vieri wound back the clock and scored his second goal of the game, and Arouna Kone finished it all off with his second. When this team is healthy I really think we're one of the top 3 in the league.

Strasbourg 5
Everton (17)
Christian Vieri (pen 28, 82)
Arouna Kone (56, 90)

Le Havre 1
Piero Alva (12)

Everton picked up man of the match, he tore the defense apart everytime he touched the ball. I guess the scout was right. This is a bit dodgy, Paris are flogging everyone and coming 2nd in the league... the same Paris we smashed in the first round. I hate injuries.

It gets no easier, we have Monaco next :( the scout says they are "exceptional" so good news for us. I'm not sure whether Denilson or Farnerud will start in the midfield when he comes back. They've both been pretty average to be honest.

Wow what a half... if it wasn't for their goalkeeper saving everything we'd be up by 4. Everyone from Kone and Vieri to Carlos Martins has come close to scoring, but they did fight back towards the end. Either way, 0-0 so far.

I'm taking Vieri and Denilson off for the second half, replacing them with Kisliy and Elvis. Younger and more inexperienced but the older two are tired and not doing well. They've compeltely taken over in the second, 2-0 loss.

That'll do for the night, time to go watch Italy and Ghana.

I've noticed that guys seem less likely to get injured during friendlies and stuff if you let the assistant manager handle it. Just felt like putting it out there since Jae's guys were falling like dead flies.

A first up win over Grenoble was nice. Noe Pamarot picked up man of the match but really it could've gone to Everton, Kone, Carlos Martins or debutant Rodrigo Defendi who managed to score a goal from a penalty.I noticed in all of the away matches I'd lost or drawn, we'd been heavily beaten in the headers category. Usually losing them 20% to 70%. I put Defendi into the line-up, he's 6'2 and has good jumping/heading stats. He won 10 headers and we won the overall header count 57%-51%... don't ask me how that works.

Strasbourg 2
Arouna Kone (60)
Rodrigo Defendi (69)

Grenoble 0

We're playing Nice next, who are in 5th place and doing really well. It's not good but we've won against these kind of teams before, and we're at home. Actually we're coming 6th, so there's only one place difference

Wow Kone and Babel are killing them up front but not finishing off. Henao has been amazing, he's blocked about 3 shots that definitely should've been goals. They like to counter attack so I might move my defenders back a little bit.

Fuck they just scored, 60 minutes into the second half. That blows. I was just about to make a substitution, but Yildrim has pegged one back! What a champion. Awell, I can take a draw. Especially with this team playing as well as they have been. With that draw both of us go up the ladder, they are currently 4th and we're 5th.

Ugh, St Ettiene. They're currently in the Champions League and I HATE playing them because their entire team is stacked.

They're ripping us apart  they've had like 8 shots on goal in the first 20 minutes, but we're holding our own... sort of. Holy shit one of their guys just got sent off! Not changing anything, their goalie is great. I'm definitely putting Vieri on at half time, we're not connecting on enough headers. 0-0 at half time.

Wow Vieri's having an impact, three shots on goal in 10 minutes but converted none. Their goalkeeper is seriously amazing, he's stopping everything. FUCK they just scored one, we don't deserve to lose this one. How annoying. PENALTY! VIERI SCORES! Awesome, 1-1. What a game. Henao and Pamarot were great, Vieri made an impact but McCarthy was awful. That draw drops us down to 8th but that's ok, I fully expected to lose.

I've got a home game against Ajaccio next, I'm giving Kone the game off because I want to give Talla N'Diaye a chance and maybe the disappointing Sergey Kisliy... who is absolutely dominating at international level and has doubled his value in the last month.

Fuck, they take the lead through Roman Bednar on the 21st minute. Not good. Their defense is great and they keep counter attacking, it's quite annoying. Absolutely nothing happening in the 2nd half. Kisliy had one good chance but blew it, we lose 0-1 and I'm not happy.

Ugh fuck, last game of the A-League Cup and I lose 5-2 against Central Coast. Nick Mrdja scored 4 goals so I offered 250k transfer for him

David Zdrilic who was injured when I took over the team, came back from injury, so now I have 3 capable strikers. But fucking Dwight Yorke had international duties and got injured, twisted ankle. I was asked to use either injections or Physio but I don't wanna risk it and I'll use the Physio. I

I just got offered a defender for one of my attacking midfielders, I'll take him. some Aaron Goulding guy from Adelaide Utd.

Okay opening match, I'm playing the Newcastle Jets, they have a weird line-up, 3 central defenders, 2 wing backs, a defensive mid, 2 centre mids, an center attacking Mid and a Striker. the 2 wingbacks must be fast and they use them, or they predominately go though the middle. ah well. What ever happens i'll win

Ugh, one of my guys got his 2nd yellow, so he'll be suspended after this match...and another dude just got booked. OH FUCKING ZDRILLIC, he was one one one with the keeper and kicks the ball into him :x . Ugh, corner but my player pushed the defender, waste (N) . Garh Mrdja can't cross for shit, at least I get corners. And then they get wasted. Ugh half time and no goals.

I'll keep the same line-up, no significant changes needed until I succeed a goal. Ugh fuck! I got a 2nd yellow card for a guy and he's off! :x. It was my winger, now I have no one in the midfield.. I'll take off an attacking midfielder and put in a mid field guy. Oh fuck, some retard on the other team forgot to shoot, still 0-0 with 4 mins left. 2 minutes of injury time...Cross! oh miss, another cross! oh fucking cleared. corner for the other team :x . and it's a goal kick  . 1 last shot. Oh fucking idiots. OH FUCK! Foul! Shot! SAVED! Cleared and a 0-0 draw, sucky (N). 2 suspensions though (N) . But my other 2 guys come back, some midfielders. It was scoreless cos Dwight Yorke a.k.a God wasn't playing :proud:

Oh only 1 suspension. Ugh, that Zdrilic guy is very unfit.. I'll play off the bench for now..Fuck I keep getting approached by the media, they asked me about Mrdja's poor debut. I told them to not worry about it. The Goulding transfer finished, so I'll have to sign him. Some guy thinks Sasho Petrovski is a good player, He's not even on the bench. He earns 70K. The most of my team and I don't even use him. I'm going to use him in place of a defender lol. 3 Strikers and 2 attacking mids, I should change the mentality to attacking.

I should offer one of my strikers for a decent midfielder, I'm trying to think of who. 5 decent strikers is too many, especially with Dwight Yorke, I want to keep Yorke, Zdrillic and Mrdja, I have to keep Bunoavoglia because he's on a loan. And I want to keep Petrovski... I don't want Zdrillic then lol. But Zdrillic is a Croatian whilst Mrdja is a Serbian :x . Ugh and Petrovski is a Macedonian.

Ah but Buonavoglia's contract expires in september so it doesn't matter.

Panachaiki have just made an offer to one of my defenders, Fyfe. What a queer name, both club and last name. They'll offer 20k Fyfe's value of 8k. I accepted the proposal. Time for a save  .

Ugh my match is against Melbourne Victory... 5 players have been called up for international duty for the Aussie Under 21s squad to verse the Soloman Islands, hopefully they don't get injured like Yorke. Luckily it's on the 2nd of September and I haven't got a match then.

Oh what the fuck, the Fyfe transfer has been cancelled because they can only have 3 non europeans in their squad, what fuckers.

Yay it's about damn time for match day. I'm 5th and Melbourne are 6th. I'll start the Fyfe guy instead of my 19 year old defender guy so he isn't fatigued when he goes to play Soloman Islands. Hopefully this increases his transfer value  Oh sweet I'm playing against Archie Thompson.

OH BOLTON IS A LEGEND, fucking saved like 3 shots in a row from like 10 feet out. Shit they're making a run, but cleared crossand i'm on a run and i got fouled. free kick whoop. Oh Salazr you fucking tool, perfect cross. Shit corner kick for Melbourne but they missed, phew. Oh yes Mrdja makes another run, cross but no one gets it. PETROVSKI!! OH JUST WIDE :x . Bunoavoglia is a fucking tool, perfect position and then gets tackled, now it's a corner kick. Shit, Archi Thompson inteercepted and went on a run, but crosses it back to the other side in midfield :? and now it's a goal kick for me. Tool. Fuck there's some player named Kitzbichier, what kind of name is that. Oh fucking Petrovski missed another sitter. oh fucking lucky that Craig Bolton saved a goal, fucking defenders just left him. YES I GOT FOULED IN THE BOX!!! PENALTY!. SALAZR TAKES IT..........HE FUCKING MISSED THE FUCKING KEEPER SAVED IT FUCKING TAPS IT AND THEN I GET IT BACK IN THEN GOAL BY ME!!!!!!!!!!! Sasho Petrovski was in the middle and got passed the ball to an open goal and score! But fucking idiot missed the penalty. Oh shit! Fucking save by Bolton and the Melbourne guy missed header. Phew. OH FUCKING OFFSIDE!!! OH NO ITS NOT FUCK Archie Thompson scored the equalizer, my defenders are so fucking shit. Ugh half-time. I'm angry at salazr and pleased with everyone else. I'm subbing Salazar off. Ugh I've been playing Mrdja on the right but he's a left footer....

YES! ANOTHER PENALTY! And the guy got red carded! TOOL. I should win now, hopefully. Buonavogila takes the shot AND GOAL FOR SYDNEY!!!!! FUCK YES. OH FUCKING FYFE, conceeds the fucking penalty :x , don't tell me there's gonna be an equalizer. YES SAVED!! Stupid Muscat, comes up and then kicks it straight to the keeper. Cross by Mrdja!! ARH header over the bar :x . PETROVSKI!! SCORES!! assists by Mrdja!, awesome passing. Petrovski to Bunoavogila to Mrdja to Petrovski. ran straight through the center. OH SHIT, oh lucky the ball went straight across the face of the goal! CORNER FOR ME AND GOAL FOR McFLYNN! his first ever goal for Sydney. Woo 4-1, that's a better scoreline. OH SHIT! Awesome shot by Melbourne and it hits the crossbar. Phew!. Yes Petrovski running through the middle, shakes off the keeper and score , hat trick for Petrovski! Why the fuck did I have this guy not even on the bench! I'll make a sub, take off my Attacking Midfielder and put a wing back in there. Mrdja! Ah he just missed, beautiful cross by Bunovagila. Shit where' my keeper? he goes to take the ball of Archie Thompson but Thompson crosses it but no one was there. They get a free kick but smash it into the wall. Should be over now.

Yay a 5-1 victory to me. Dude of the match should be Petrovski. I'm gonna take Salazar out of the starting line-up and maybe take out the Attacking Right midfield, he's useless there. Yay, the board is delighted over a rival win!

Now I've got a 4-3-3 line-up with 2 center mids and a right wing. I've only done this because my Attacking Mid is unfit so I'll let him rest. I'd post screens but too much effort converting from one computer to another. I'll do a stats update probably after another 4-6 games.

The thread says "Football Manager 06"

Well I've decided to List two players for transfer, Andrew Packer (Right and Left Midfielder) and Steve Laurie (Defensive Right and Center) because I've barely used them and I want to minimize my squad a bit, so I don't have to manage as many players :P .

I got an offer from Panachaiki for Laurie, $2,000 and "25% of next sale clause" the guy is worth 8k. I don't really mind so I'll just let this guy go.

I got a message to renew Buonavoglia's loan deal, I'll loan him for another 2 months until Dwight Yorke comes back.

The U21's match finished, my 19 year old defender Jacob Timpano scored a penalty in the 90th minute as they won 4-0. He's got a Penalty taking rating of 17.

Australia beat Soloman Islands 5-0, Viduka got injured! and Clayton Zane and Paul Agostino scored 2 goals each. Stan Laziridis scored 1.

Yay, Clint Bolton, Sasho Petrovski and Buonavoglia were named in the A-League Team of the Week, Bolton is Goalkeeper and the other two are strikers.

But bad news for Bolton, he got a Bruised shin in training and I'll fix him with the Physio, he's out for 4 days to 2 weeks. Also Steve Corica, unused attacking midfielder, is out 3 weeks to a month. Broken Shoulder in training. Bolton can still play but I don't want to risk him.

Ugh, those 5 under 21 playesr have been called up for September the 9th, I play a match on the 7th and 11th. I'll give them half a game instructions, what ever that his lol.

I'm playing Queensland Roar, I'll win hopefully, I am favourites because it's at home. And it's a televized game too. Ugh, I'm going to have to sign a GK from the under 20s side just in case. But shit, he won't be there for this match, hopefully my keeper will make it through.

I'm playing against a 4-1-2-1 line-up. Hah, there's a Korean defensive midfielder and I'm watching the Korea vs. Togo match. Oh, my back-up keeper just made 2 great, lucky saves. And I just scored a goal from a throw-in, cross by Bingley and Talay the Turk shot it in.

Garh, Mrdja crossed it in and someone hit the post (didn't see the name). Mrdja had a shot and it just went wide. ARH Petrovski's shot hits the crossbar! Ah, uneventful half except for the Talay goal. Nobody isn't tired so I'll leave the same team on.

OH HOW THE FUCK DO YOU MISS 2 SHOTS FROM RIGHT INFRONT OF FUCKING GOAL! GARH. 2 shots and they both hit the fucking keeper. Timpano you legend!, comes over to the free player and takes the ball and clears it! Talay took another shot and went over the crossbar :x . Garh another miss, stupid cunts missing.

Garh, some Brosque dude was running the ball up the field by himself, crossed it in but the shot was saved, luckily. Another wasted shot by us, getting all the corners and shit. Another save by my back-up goalie dude. He's having a great debut. Garh my team makes shit passes, but my keeper luckily saves the goals, from like 10 feet out. Fucking lucky. FUCKING EVER HEARD OF FUCKING CLEARING THE BALL. only one minute of injury time.FUCK WHERE ARE MY DEFENDERS. OH YOUNG TIMPANO AGAIN saves the day, tackle and clearance. Yay 1-0 victory. Delighteds go to the keeper and Talay. and Timpano.

That win puts me top of the ladder :headbang: with 2 wins and 1 draw. 6-1 in goals. Australian under 21's won 3-1, one of my attacking midfielders got an assist. Australia beat Soloman islands 7-0. Tim Cahill scored 1 goal, Clayton Zane scored another 2 goals, Laziridis and Agostino scored another goal each and Emerton scored a goal. And there was an own goal too. And Bresciano missed a penalty.

Ufuk (what a fucking name) Talay and Sasho Petrovski made it into the team of the week, Talay in midfield and Petrovski at forward. Ugh I signed a GK for U/20's but Clint Bolton recovered, atleast I have a back-up back-up now.

I verse the New Zealand Knights and I'm favourites to win the match. I'm enjoying dominating Australians :proud: .

Played against New Zealand Knights, pretty boring first half, lost of yellow cards, but Nick Mrdja scored his first ever goal for Sydney off a nice header from a cross. I put an Attacking Midfielder on the left to replace Ufuk Talay to see if that'll set up some goals or something. Some dude got his second yellow card and he was sent off, hopefully I can dominate now. No more goals were scored but I dominated possession and I won 1-0. New Zealand out fouled me 23-7, out yellow carded me 7-1 and out redcarded me 1-0 lol. Those Kiwis (N) :P . Ceccoli, my left back, got a stubbed toe and I'll let the Physio's treat him, only 4 days to 2 weeks.

Aaron Goulding is probably gonna make his debut, depends if Ceccoli recovers first, and Dwight Yorke looks to be making a comeback soon. I'll take off McFlynn as he's tired and I'll add an attacking Midfield. My favourite defender, Timpano, is wanted by Perth Glory. I'm definitely not going to offer him to them, they can shove it.

Yay Yorke resumes full training now, He's still fatigued and I'll sit him out for a while. Adelaide Utd. are having a media battle with him, their manager said that I'll be a title contender in a year or two if I make 1 or 2 good signings. He can suck my shit the cocksucking fag. I play against him next so I better win, because their team are second on the ladder, only 1 point behind. The 1st vs. 2nd match is not televised whilst a 5th vs. 6th battle is. How ghey.

LOL SHIT, Adelaide Utd score in the first fucking minute :x . Some Bugeja cunt. Buonavoglia just scored for me, we got the ball from a tackle and buonavoglia got the ball, dribbled down, 1 on 1 against the keeper and slotted it in. Yay another goal, Mrdja passed it to Carney, who put it through to Petrovski, Petrovski shot it, missed, but got it off the rebound. Milligan got the cleared ball, dribbled it down the right flank, crossed it to Ufuk Talay and Talay slotted it in. Talay is a midfielder and Milligan is my right back :? whilst my strikers were in midfield, weird, but I'll take the 3-1 lead, not even half time yet. Shit, some Middleby guy scored for Adelaide Utd, off a save from the keeper. Oh fucking stupid defence, they just left some guy dribble in and score the equalizer during first half injury time. 3-3 at halftime.

Yes, Timpano cleared it to a running Mrdja, he dribbled in, crossed it to Petrovski and goal! SHIT, Bugeja answered straight away :x . Ugh, Milligan needed medical attention on the Petrovski goal, he's condition is %54 so I might as well take him off, put Milligan as a right wing back and Oostendrop or whatever as right back. Yes! Mrdja got the ball, was dribbling and got tackled from behind and the tackler got red carded, free kick just outside of the box on the left. Mrdja crosses it to Buonavoglia and goal!!! 5-4, what a match! Shit! Veart scored in the 85th minute, 5-5 :x . Oh well, I'll take the draw and keep my 1st place positon.

Milligan is just unfit, and I got attacked by Perth Glory's manager Steve McMahon (lol Vince McMahon). I'm going to put Dwight Yorke in the line-up ahead of Buonavoglia and put Buonavoglia on the bench and take off Zdrilic. Also, I'm gonna put McFlynn in the line-up for Bingley to rest.

I've made it public that me and Adelaide Utd. manager John Kosmina have a feud between each other :proud: . Perth Glory (who I'm playing next) made a bid for Timpano, and I'm definitely declining that bitch.

Shit, Mrdja has gotten injured, I'm gonna put Buonavoglia on for him. Garh, stupid defence let me down again, letting the player run and score. (N) . FUCK, again, some person scores a goal. some Fisher dude. Ugh, Dwight Yorke is injured too, well only have injured, but I'm not gonna risk him. Hopefully it isn't too late, 83rd minute, Milligan cross and Buonavoglia scores! One more goal please. Shit! Buonavoglia choked, one on one vs. the keeper and the kicked into the keeper, first loss of the season  . Mrdja has a broken jar and is out for 4 days to 2 weeks. Yes! I'm still first on the ladder, Adelaide Utd. drew with bottom placed Newcastle Jets. I have +5 GD and they have +4 GD. Mrdja and Petrovski were named in the team of the week as strikers. Alvin Ceccoli is back from injury, and Goulding is out of the line-up. Zdrillic is wanted by a club and I'm waiting to receive and offer.

Awards were presented of the month, Timpano came 3rd in young player of the month and the board are happy with me :proud:

I wrote like 1,600 in a notepad file, this is around 800 lol, so I'm really addicted to this game.

Well we've pushed on up to 4th in the league after 15 games now, 6 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses with a goal difference of 8. Probably the best result of the season has just happened, with us beating 2nd place Marseille 3-2 away from home. We went up 3-0 really early, before they pulled 2 back quickly before the break. In the second half they had two players sent off, as well as Everton for us but that wasn't enough and we held on to the win.

Strasbourg 3
Arouna Kone (18)
Ugur Yildrim (22)
Ryan Babel (29)

Marseille 2
Lerato Chabangu (33)
Marco Di Vaio (pen 40)

Ryan Babel dominated as per usual and Everton ripped the defense to pieces but had a bad match rating because of his red card. That's three straight wins, so far so good.

Here's a review of some younger players in the various Strasbourg teams (first, reserves, u/18)

Ryan Babel, 19 years old, AML ST
12 games, 6 goals, 4 assists, 1 man of the match

Absolutely fantastic start to the season for Babel, who was vastly disappointing in his first year with the club. At this exact same stage last season, Babel had 3 goals and 2 assists and wasn't performing at all. He did slow down for a few games after returning from injury, but recently he's been back to his best.

Everton, 21 years old, WB AM FCL
13 games, 1 goal, 3 assists, 2 man of the match

Continued from where he left off at the end of last season. Completely awful when he first came to the club as a defender, Everton has dominated the left wing this season and made the position his own. By far the most consistant performer in the Strasbourg team, hopefully a recent suspension won't take the wind out of his sails

Arouna Kone, 22 years old, ST
12 games, 7 goals, 1 assist, 1 man of the match

It's been a slightly inconsistant season for the young Ivory Coast international, but when he's on form he's as good as any striker in France. Grabbed a hat-trick on his Strasbourg debut against the now #1 team Paris, but was injured in the next game and struggled to re-gain his form.

Alexander Farnerud, 22 years old, AM F RLC
10 games, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 man of the match

Fairly disappointing season for Farnerud, but it's not entirely his fault. He's had to endure not only injury problems but also not really having a true position in the side. When healthy he's an automatic selection due to his ability, but if he doesn't start showing some form he might find himself being sold.

RESERVES

Alexandre Bonnet, 20 years old, AM RLC
3 games, 1 goal, 1 assist, 1 man of the match

Came to Strasbourg in the off-season on a free transfer from Toulouse, Bonnet has been spectacular in his three appearances for the reserves, and earnt himself a spot in the first team to replace the injured Farnerud. If his form can translate into the firsts, Bonnet may actually force the young Swede out of the team alltogether.

Quentin Othon, 18 years old, D/WB L
5 games, 0 goals, 1 assist, 1 man of the match

Fantastic little wing back who's improved out of sight in his first year playing reserves. Was part of the ultra successful Strasbourg Under 18's team of 2005 and has continued to improve rapidly. While he's still down in the position list behind the likes of Raul Bravo and Arthur Boka, if Othon can continue to develop he'll find himself in the first team set up in no time.

Cheik Tiote, 20 years old, DC DM
4 games, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 man of the match, 5.25 tackles, 7.50 avg

Came to the side from Anderlecht where he couldn't even make the bench for the strong reserves team there. Tiote has been above and beyond the best defender outside of the Strasbourg first team and is only an injury or two away from making his debut. The only thing harming his chances is his actual position, no one quite knows whether it's in central defense or central midfield.

Gaetan Krebs, 20 years old, AM L
8 games, 4 goals, 1 assist, 2 man of the match

Widely considered the best player in the reserves league this season, Krebs has made a habit of scoring goals from midfield at a rate higher than most others. He scored against the Strasbourg Under 18's and went close numerous times against the first team. Rated behind Bonnet due to less versaility, Krebs could force his way into the first team sometime this season.

Johan Plat, 19 years old, AM/FC
5 games, 3 goals, 1 assist, 0 man of the match

Versatile young Dutch player who came to Strasbourg after impressing on trial from Ajax last season. Plat has been playing up front this season with the immense depth the team has in the midfield and acquitting himself brilliantly. He apppears to be much older than he is on the field, although isn't as close as some others to making a first team debut.

UNDER 18's

Fabio Paim, 18 years old, AMR
2 games, 1 goal, 2 assists, 0 man of the match, 8.50 avg

Has only played two games this season due to a series of injuries and problems with assistant manager Ney, who has since been taken off the Under 18's coaching list. Paim dominated Martigues and Raon-I'Etape, tearing their defense apart and basically doing what he wants. With a new coach at the Under 18's, hopefully Paim will see more game time.

Alexandre Delanys, 17 years old, MC
3 games, 1 goal, 1 assist, 0 man of the match, 8.00 avg

Fantastic young midfielder who could quite easily be in the first team by next season. Showing advanced skills for his age, Delanys dominates his midfield opponents and is leading the league in tackles with a staggering 5.67 per game.

Robert Lewandowski, 18 years old, FC
8 games, 7 goals, 1 assist, 3 man of the match

One of my scouts discovered him playing in Poland but I was resistant to start. I didn't think he was much of a player but I signed him regardless due to the scouts assistance. How wrong I was. Not only has he improved his play in the short time he's been at the club, he's currently the top scorer in the league and is already valued at over 1 million pounds.

John Goossen, 18 years old, AML
6 games, 1 goal, 2 assists, 0 man of the match

A former Chelsea target, Goossens has been solid if not spectacular in his time at Strasbourg. While he's yet to fully find his feet at the club, he draws an unusually high amount of fouls and never takes a bad shot on goal (100% average).

Cedric Kastner, 17 years old, DR/WB RL
3 games, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 man of the match, 4.13 tackles

Kastner nearly lost his contract last season. After failing to impress in his few appearances in the Under 18's, he then followed it up by skipping training and generally causing problems throughout the club. Since then he's completely turnt himself around and is doing a fantastic job on the right side of defense. Is the most likely defender to make the jump to the first team in the Under 18's.

Guillaume Clinckemaillie, 16 years old, AML
6 games, 1 goal, 0 assists, 0 man of the match

Has just turnt 16 but has been an integral part of the Under 18's midfield since the start of the season. Shows some obvious signs of physical and mental immaturity on the pitch, but it's the vast opinion of the coaches that he's a superstar in the making.

Weird... you might be way over your wage budget, or be spending alot on transfers. Try and cut some of the guys you don't use, sell a guy for alot of money and that should help.

Well the season's kicked on but we haven't been doing as well as I would have liked. Currently sitting at about 9th or 10th, we've had a poor run with injuries and suspensions so it makes things difficult.

With the transfer window coming up I wasn't planning on making any signings but I changed my mind and figured it would only be a good thing. First I sold off a few guys who weren't being used at all, Sidi Keita, Yacouba Sanogo, Hosni, Kevin Gameiro and Nicolas Puydebois got me a combined 4 million which funded the signing of Juventus wingback Giorgio Chiellini. He has amazing attributes and I have been trying to sign him since last season. He's won 11 caps for Italy and he's only 22, which lets me shift Raul Bravo into central defense with Rodrigo Defendi. I'm also trying to sign a young Brazilian defensive midfielder called Ale. He looks fantastic and is only 20 years old, so fingers crossed.

First game in over a month is a cup match (Coupe de France whatever that is) against 2nd division La Chapelle. Last time we played a second division team we got beaten

Ok that went better than expected. The game opened badly for us with them scoring after 5 minutes, but it was waved away as the player was offside. After that the floodgates burst open and it was a rampage. We were leading 5-0 at half time, and the duo of Alexander Farnerud/Ugur Yildrim were destroying the La Chapelle defense. I subbed Farnerud and Kone off at half time since the damage was already done, they slowed us down a bit in the second but we still grabbed another 2 goals to run out winners 7-0. The biggest win of my managerial career at Strasbourg.

Strasbourg 7
Alexandre Bonnet (11)
Ugur Yildrim (15)
Ryan Babel (21, 55)
Rodrigo Defendi (pen 29)
Noe Pamarot (36)
Sergey Kisliy (66)

La Chapelle 0

Bonnet's goal was amazing, he dribbled past half of their team before scoring but it was the combination of Giorgio Chiellini and Alexander Farnerud that really made me happy. Farnerud has been flat out awful this season. He barely does anything, hasn't scored a goal and has only had 1 assist all season. I was actually trying to sell him not long ago but no one was interested. Chiellini completely opened things up for him, he draws in defenders and then feeds the ball to Farnerud who is generally left all alone. He finished with 3 assists in this game, and that was only by half time  Unfortunately that doesn't help me when Everton comes back from injury, then again Farnerud's got time to prove that this isn't a fluke. Bonnet got past his defender 9 times, which is virtually unheard of although Gaetan Krebs did it 5 times in 1/2 a match so he has some competition there.

Time to really test these guys out, an away game to Bordeaux that I don't expect to win but they better be competitive.

Bonnet went close to scoring but Bordeaux hit us on the break and grabbed one through Giovanni van Bronckhorst. This was met by a fantastic goal from Ryan Babel to make it 1-1 at half time.

Shit, a good free kick leads to Edixon Perea tapping the ball in early. They've gone close a few times, doesn't look good. Completely uneventuful first half is capped off by a fantastic goal from a free kick via Carlos Martins on the 93rd minute, we escape with a draw.

Well, I'm getting bored by the game from playing it way too much the recent week, but before I take a rest from it, I was thinking off starting a new one with an African or South American team and try to take them to the World Cup.. The teams I've narrowed it down to so far are Nigeria, Cameroon or maybe Senegal.. Any suggestions on what team to choose? (It doesn't have to be any of the above mentioned.)

edit: I went with Cameroon  I just started the game and it's already five games played in the Word Cup qualifying group; and the board said that they'd be very pleased if we qualify for the World Cup. It doesn't seem like an unrealistic goal since there's still 5 games left and the Ivory Coast is the only real contender.

Image

The first thing I did was schedule a friendly match (2 months away) against the Ivory Coast to get a feel of how they play and what I should do to beat them in the group. After that, I checked out the squad; Etó is of course the nr1 player, and then there are also four/five more good players, but that's about it, the squad is really thin. I also checked out the staff, and for some reason there was only me on there, so I've now hired an assistant coach, two regular coaches, and a guy to take care of the U21 and U19 squads. However the entire nation of Cameroon doesn't have a single physio, so I'm still lacking in that position (the bad thing is, that absolutely no one with another nationality will take the job)..

Stay tuned to see how the World Cup qualification goes for team Cameroon :)
