The background reminds me of an old homes wallpaper. Like, real flowery wallpaper, if you'd switch that & just add some text, I think the simplicity would be a lot more appealling.

It looks pretty nice...however the contrast between the uniform and the background could be more...but that's the only initial impression I got as I'm fairly visually-designed impaired:

I agree with Jackal about the wallpaper, but I love the luminosity. A small short text would make it complete.

I just finished it off with a simple text like cyanide said. I actually love the 'old wallpaper'-look, that's basically why I made it like this.
Added that Bron sig to the index and some more crap.

i didnt make it i just found it online somewhere and i think it will be perfect for my Knicks Dynasty, and i noticed youve done the knicks before and i like the way uve done the graphics, but i just want to add some text to that pic, maybe "Knicks" somewhere in the left and "DREeAzy06" on the right ill let you get creative with it if you do in fact do it so thats it for now

3th, you're right. I though so too, the detail on the arm/hand and on the face don't match. I should either lower the detail on the face or make add detail on the arm.
Since I spent so much time on the face, I guess I'll add detail to the arm so I won't waste my effort.

I didn't use the pen tool (at least not Photoshop's), I hate that thing.
I used the polygonal lasso and Adobe Illustrator. The tool I used in Illustrator is called 'pen tool' too but it's much easier to use.

i tried only once to make a vector it took me so long
but yea make the arm more detailed and it will be really goood

Looks pretty good, I think you've got too much detail on the forehead and the lower part of his shirt. In a vector usually a good way to go is to try and use the least ammount of colours you can.

What do people find so hard about the pen tool? Changes one setting up top (the first one, 'shape layers' to 'paths') and to the same click to set a point as you do for polygonal lasso.

Speaking of vectors, I'm working on something sort of similar right now. It's gonna be big.
