Sit's Story Thread (Help needed with Problem)

Good Charlotte are pop rock....they're similar to Greenday (once they sold out), Offspring (once they sold out) & Blink 182 but not as good....

Greenday's album is horrible! But if u dont like America.. get it!

when I say Greenday I don't mean the regurgitated crap that they release now....I mean 10-15 years ago, Dookie, Basket Case, etc....

same with Offspring....Smash was awesome....like one or two songs on Ixnay but after that

Greenday are punk, and they were awesome back in teh mid 90's with Dookie. One of the great albums.
American Idiot is their sellout album.

Greenday in the 90's was good... why did they release American Idiot... even worse- why do ppl buy it?

They released American Idiot because they wrote songs, and wanted to sell it to the masses?

People who buy it are the same people who buy cds by simple plan, good charlotte, blink , switchfoot...etc etc

Switchfoot is ok, I like them a little. I'm actually going to some weird Christian concert with my friend where they're going to play in not too long.

Most people who listen to switchfoot probably don't know they are christian rock. Overrated? definetely, that song they currently have out atm was on the walk to to remember soundtrack from 2-3 years ago.

But kudos for them on having such a successful song, which basically is one verse repeated 3-4 times.

i was sadden at how greenday mature so much and so is their punky ways. now they don't seem to sound punk anymore

Almost every other thread gets hijacked and turns into a rap thread, I think one that turns into a rock thread is okay

Yeah I agree, and it's not as if Sit won't post any more stories just because people are talking about rock. All it takes for a thread to turn into ghetto talk is something like

"What are your views on gun laws?"
"I think they need some tweaking"
"Word, I agree"
"Yo dawg you said Word!!! OMG YO DID U HEAR DAT NEW JADAKISS JOINT DAYUM DAT DUDE IZ ILL G"

Greenday still sound punk... what other style would they go into?
Heavy Metal? Goth? Shred? Death Metal? .... they could be emo, but most likely they'll gradually move towards the devil... pop. Although they are doing a mash-up with a rapper. THe name escapes me for the moment.

I wish I could give u more stories... but I have been real busy with exams! Wait for the end of the week... I got 1 more exam to go...

Physics was a bummer... worte 2 pages of total bull... and math b... lets just say i only knew how to do half of it... pretty good for 2 hours of cramming...
