One of many articles on it from around the webNorth Korean leader Kim Jong-il has died of a heart attack at the age of 69, state media have announced.
Millions of North Koreans were "engulfed in indescribable sadness", the KCNA state news agency said, as people wept openly in Pyongyang.
KNCA described one of his sons, Kim Jong-un, as the "great successor" whom North Koreans should unite behind.
Pyongyang's neighbours are on alert amid fears of instability in the poor and isolated nuclear-armed nation.
Fears were compounded by unconfirmed reports from South Korean news agency Yonhap that the North had test-fired a missile off its eastern coast before the announcement of Kim Jong-il's death was made.
His son, Kim Jong-un, is expected to succeed him.

His son looks like a barrel of laughs.

Here's an interesting documentary of what life is like in North Korea.

Weird that you linked that, I've been watching the documentary for the last 20 minutes before I saw this thread. Would smash the tea girl btw

I've read somewhere that Kim Jong-un is much crazier than his father.

Nothing will probably change there.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... ng-un.htmlNorth Korea will be #1 in Basketball in the world in due time, like Kim Jong-Il was #1 in the world in Golf.

Majority of population in NK should be happy though. It's just that expressing their emotions might get them killed.
I hope this Kim family burns in hell.

With Paul the Octopus no longer with us, the animal kingdom no longer holds any firm answers.

LOL his son has a basketball shaped head. When I saw that on TV I was like no way dude...Can you guys imagine....he probably forces many women to have sex with him. Even his dad probably used to. Why the fuck is there never a crazy person who wants to assassinate a crazy leader? All the crazy dudes only want to see a normal leader dead. Why this partiality?

I think that's the son who's reportedly a huge basketball fan. According to North Korean official/soldiers/athletes who played with/against him they say he's pretty good at basketball the same way his father is greater than Tiger Woods on and off the course.

I watched Kimjongilia on Netflix after watching the the Vice Guide video. Both showed entirely different sides of the country. Kimjongilia focused on the forced slave labor, talked about the massive drought of 1994 where soldiers would go up and down the streets of the city to collect corpses of those who starved to death. While the Vice Guide focused on the more well-off side, that were completely oblivious to everything.
I'd definitely recommend Kimjongilia, it's scary some of the stories the escapees told. One girl's friend became one of the many lovers of Kim Jong Il, and when she found out she was sent to prison, which is basically just forced slave labor. What's really scary is that she still worshiped Kim Jong Il for many years within this camp, after she had been imprisoned for nothing, it's just what they were raised to believe.
So Kim Sung Il died, a true deity, and then his son, Kim Jong Il, takes over and eventually becomes essentially a deity as well? I've read that because Kim Jong Un combs his hair similar to Kim Sung Il, N.Koreans are beginning to believe that he is Kim Sung Il reincarnated. So essentially, even before this basketball headed douche has taken power, he's already seen as a deity, and nothing at all will change. Sickening.

There's actually a
video on the Vice site where they go to Siberia to investigate North Korean labour camps. Also there's
one about their film industry.

DOES THIS FACE LOOK LIKE ONE THAT OF A DEITY? Why would a God insult himself like that?

Have you ever seen the face of god or any god to know that it would not look like that?

That's pretty much the way it goes when there's a line of succession and the leader is seen as having a divine right to rule or indeed a divine being themselves. The Egyptian pharaohs were basically seen that way.

It obviously was not supposed to be a serious statement.

If you are going to dispute what I said then clearly there was something in what I said which you thought was worth disputing over...which means it was looked at with a certain amount of seriousness which my comment was not intended to produce nor deserve.
