So, How did you find this Forum?

So I apologize if this topic has no sense what so ever, but I got curious, how did you even find the NLSC, and why did you join?

For me, it was the NCAA patch. I saw it on youtube and I was like :o Then when I found this forum, I first off saw Kovas patch, which I downloaded. After that, I found the NCAA patch, but I did not download it. I got hooked on the association thread(first one I read was Hovas) and thats when I desided to make an acc.

I google'd "nba live 2003 updated rosters" or something like that about a year and a half ago (maybe two years?). This site was the first result on google, so I came here and downloaded a ton of cool patches. I had never been much of a poster on any forums; I usually went on a forum to ask "I need computer help", or "which printer should I buy?", or something of that sort. Originally I just went on the forum to look around, and I liked the big discussions people were having here about the NBA and I liked the Live 2003 patchers (there were more a year ago :( ). I also followed links people had into their sigs and saw a lot of people were creating NBA Live and 2k stories. I thought that was kind of cool, so I signed up. Since then, I've been a regular poster here. I've taken part in the discussions, I've attempted some patches (then just went on to updating rosters instead), and I've had the most fun in the Dynasty/Association section.

We've had this topic before but it's been a while and I'm always interested to see people's answers.

I found the NLSC searching for NBA Live 96 stuff back in 1997 and made it a regular online stop for the next few years while maintaining my own NBA Live website, before Tim offered me the opportunity to come on board and run it in August 2001. Come the 26th I'll have been doing this for ten years...wow, time flies.

Stupid question Andrew, but do you have a salary maintaining this website or can you make money from web ads in the site?

Found this website after some intense googling in which I had a question about Dynasty Mode in NBA Live 10. I clicked on one of the results which was a thread started by someone about Dynasty questions. I had never, EVER joined much less even posted on a forum, but I joined only for the point of asking the questions hoping for an answer. Andrew pretty much explained it well, and so I had some further questions, that were also answered. I wanted to basically use this forum to get and give help on Live 10.

Then I expanded and explored other sections, like the NBA & Basketball Talk, and the Dynasty/Association sections. Joined in the discussions in the general sections (though I did spam with unnecessary posts at the beginning  ), and contributed to the D/A section. First story I followed was badreligionau's Nuggets, which is my all-time favorite story. That inspired me to start a story of my own, which made the HOF (amazingly, lol). And now I have an association going on.

All in all, this is a fun forum to be a part of. There are things that make you want to visit everyday when you get the chance, because there is always something going on. I love you guys.

I discovered the NLSC back in 2001, browsing patches for Live 2001. I discovered the NLSC forums after I registered on dotorg's forums.

It's more active than dotorg. Image

I was searching for the website of the National Language Service Corps to volunteer and hopefully meet someone that can help me be inducted to the North London Sabre Club, Northeren Lights Swim Club, or Northern Lights Sailing Club; organizations that I really admire.
But my browser redirected me instead to the NLSC forums. I browsed the forums and found many incomprehensible posts from members in different parts of the world and mistakenly thought that it was the actual forums of the National Language Service Corps. I stayed awhile hoping to help out the poor saps.
The truth dawned on me eventually and pissed off that no one even bothered to inform me that this NLSC is about a crappy basketball videogame all this time.
That is why my posts here are filled of hate and I shall remain here until I overthrow Andrew and get payback for the fun he had in embarrassing me.

Found it originally when I was looking for things to download for NBA Live 98 and then came back to the new and improved forum when I was looking for stuff for NBA Live 06.

Using webcrawler or the yahoo search engine after getting America Online for the first time, I looked up NBA Live 95. There weren't many results, but there was some really primitive discussion threads that were just lined up like a tree on yahoo or geocities or something with a lot of posts by Lutz and Tim. Following that, there may have been a yahoo group, and the Live domain and the NLSC. It's a bit foggy, though. As was my life at the time. :cheeky:

Was searching for NBA Live 06-07 patches back three and a half years ago(mostly roster updates), and most of the results were redirecting in these forums. Well, after a month or two of just searching and downloading from the forums I decided to make an account here in order to release my first song patch. After that had some tries on CF's,Jerseys,Arts and another complete song update.

Then I decided to continue the NBA LIVE 09 patch from papajack, which became the TUP and explored the rest of the forum sections and I just got stuck in these forums! I really love this place, which is the first forum I've ever registered to as well...

Was searching for some mods for Live 08, started to learn some patches then I click on Lamrock's Nellieball sig and enjoyed the crazyness of the story. I decided to read more dynasties and really enjoyed X's Bobcats.

Was searching for Live 05 court updates back then. Just lurked at the official website, then discovered the forum last 2008. Found more interesting patches here in the forum, and alas, I stayed.

Apparently, but information provided in a post post-mortem and IP addresses didn't add up. I don't remember Kris asking for such a thing, though.

Well I was tired of making players such as D-Rose on NBA live 08 to update my roster so I searched "NBA live 08 latest roster update" clicked I'm felling lucky and bam! I saw TUP 11 patches and downloaded them. After reading some posts (especially association stories) I decided to created an account. Posting here has been my way to relieve stress.

I had just purchased my 1st laptop and NBA Live and it was early 2003 I believe. I was mainly looking for patches for the game so I really wasn't checking out the rest of the forums at all. For a year or two, I was mostly finding the patches I was looking for on dotorg, but after a while I only searched them on NLSC, and I eventually joined the forums in 2006 since I was starting a few patches of my own, mainly tattoos.
