off topic, but you can just delete the other one instead of making another one

I don't think you can delete a topic. But you could've edited you post of the first one and added platoon to the poll.

I like Apocalypse now too (have the redux version on DVD) though some scene is kind of weird, the playboy scene where Lance and and Chef talks with the bunnies. Didn't like that scene, and I think the end could have been more dramatic, great film still!

The main subject in Forest Gump is not the Vietnam War, so it doesen't count.

Thin red line sucks in my opionen, nothing happends !

Haven't seen "We Were soldiers" I think its the one with Mel Gibson, is it?

Ok. So it good it not hit the list then.

Off the topic a bit but: Today I bought Panic room 4 about 18$ or something. But I was quite dissapointed, I mean it was fincher one of my favorite directors that had made it so I thought it would be really good, but it was a bit under averge. So now I'm thinkig of to trade in the store with the movie "Men of honor" instead. Does Anyone seen that one, cause I don't want to buy a crappy movie twice

Panic room isn't that bad... not that good ether for that's sake...
and yes, Men of honor is a pretty good movie, a little to sentimental though, but still worth a look..

a major part of the movie is linked to vietnam, so it makes it a vietnam movie, somewhat. don't tell me that apocalypse now's main subject is the vietnam war...

nothing? its more of a drama, not action, a character movie... and something does happen... woody harrelson gets his ass blown up...

yeah, it is, it sucks too... i only mentioned it, since it should've been in the poll...

Nah, I don't agree. Forest Gump is about a strange low IQ man, not about the vietnam war, it's just a little part of the story. Forest Gump is a drama movie.

nothing? its more of a drama, not action, a character movie... and something does happen... woody harrelson gets his ass blown up...

It's so fuckin slow, in like 3h you hear that slow uninteresting almost druged voice. And Woody's ass blowned up does not save it.

yeah, it is, it sucks too... i only mentioned it, since it should've been in the poll...

Well, the poll was "Which is the best Vietnam War movie" and since We were soldiers evidently sucks, it should not be there.

Ah, jag vågade inte på mig "Men of Honor" utan köpte ett säkert kort istället: Beverly hills Cop (snuten I hollywood).

Men jag ska kanske köpa Donnie Darko nångång i framtiden.
